About

PJ Morton is a soul singer, songwriter, performer and producer based in New Orleans. He is a 5x GRAMMY-winner and 20x GRAMMY nominee who has earned numerous nominations for BET, Soul Train and NAACP Image Awards, in addition to selling out countless shows at historic venues like the Apollo Theater, Kennedy Center and others around the world. On top of running his own record label (Morton Records) and serving as Maroon 5's full-time keyboardist for the past 12+ years, he has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Jon Batiste, Nas, Lil Wayne, JoJo, Yebba, Jill Scott and many others.

In 2024, PJ Morton will become the first Black composer to ever write an original song for a Disney attraction - Tiana's Bayou Adventure, coming soon to Disneyland and Disney World. He will also release an album entirely written, recorded and produced during a 30-day trip across Africa, and publish a new book titled Saturday Night, Sunday Morning. Arriving November 12th via Worthy Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, the memoir sees him recounting and reflecting upon a trailblazing path that continues to defy expectations and straddle the tensions of music and faith, race and culture, expression and identity.

    The vibe, the energy electric. The performance pure genus ! PJ Morton brings an array of amazing vocalist - his music is infused with jazz, R&B, neo-soul, a strong gospel rift …. I hear a little Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, his own father… the intimate setting of the venue- the amazing performance by the DJ that opened the show - nothing short of amazing ! It was a good night

    PJ Morton transports you to a spiritual and musical realm like no other artist. His Watch the Sun tour is truly amazing. I caught his show at the House of Blues in Orlando and was impressively entertained by this talented musician and singer. He took us to church, romantic relationships, break ups, and redemption and revival. PJ Morton rocks. A must see.

    This is my 9th PJ Morton Concert. I've literally traveled to other States to enjoy his music live. He gives you a perfect blend of R&B, Gospel & Jazz combined all in one epic experience. His voice, musical arrangements, band and background singers are simply AMAZING! I get a different experience every time I see him, even when it's the same set! PJ's talent is unique and unmatched. He will always get 5 stars in my book!
