About

PJ Masks on Tour

Ever since Superman and Batman made their comic-book debuts in the 1930s, kids have always been drawn to superhero stories. They've indulged aspirational fantasies of acquiring their own special powers and saving the world. The Disney Junior animated series PJ Masks is a superhero franchise with a twist — the superheroes are regular kids themselves.

By day, Connor, Amaya, and Greg are your typical first-graders playing on the schoolyard. By night, they turn into Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko — the costumed crime-fighting trio who announce their transformation on each episode with a motto that every parent knows by heart at this point. (All together now: "PJ Masks are on their way, into the night to save the day!")

Since its debut in 2015, PJ Masks has joined the ranks of Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig in the pantheon of TV shows that have provided young children with an early education thanks to the art of the Netflix binge-watch.

Like those programs, PJ Masks has spawned an IRL offshoot in the form of a live revue. After touring the PJ Masks: Time to Be a Hero! show over the course of 2017-18, our heroes return to stages across North America in 2019 with a brand-new production, PJ Masks Live! Save the Day! The show features (adult) actors dressed up as Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko, and it presents its storyline through a series of acrobatic musical numbers set against animated video backdrops.

Expect to see the PJs square off against their most infamous nemeses: the mad scientist Romeo; the silver-haired, moonbeam-wielding Luna Girl; and the shadowy Night Ninja with his army of Ninjalinos. (The show also includes a handful of new songs not featured on the Time to Be a Hero! soundtrack that was released in October 2018.)

    Could’ve been better

by Ashley on 6/16/19UMBC Event Center - Baltimore

PJ Mask is a cute show that my kids enjoy. However I think it should’ve mirrored the show a little better than they did. With PJ Mask Live they did not show them as being students and then transforming to super heroes at night. Owelette jumped around flapping her arms, but for the money paid for the tickets, could they have not suspended her in the air a time or two? The show could’ve been better.

    Dull

My 6 yr old wasn’t crazy for the show. The dialogue was tough to follow.

    Awesome Adventure

by Karie J. on 6/13/19Cadillac Palace - Chicago

The show was amazing! My kids are still talking about it. How they made a cartoon into a live performance was wonderfully done. Pricing for the show and of items at the show were reasonable. The seats were great, and we sat on the side in the balcony. ALL employees were helpful and showed genuine care for our family!

    Could Have Been Way Better

by Parent of 1 on 6/11/19Cadillac Palace - Chicago

The show was all over the place, I couldn't follow along.... the lighting and affects were cool but the story line was horrible. My 1 1/2 yr old son really enjoyed it, so I guess that's all that matters but over the show sucked.

    Great Show!

    by D. B. on 6/11/19Cadillac Palace - Chicago

PJ Masks Live was the perfect show for my 3 and 6 year old grandsons. Colorful, lots of action, and just the right amount of time for children. They loved watching the show, and I loved watching their happiness! If I had to pick a one thing, I would suggest that the words and songs could come across clearer and easier to understand.

Daughter enjoyed the show...that's what counts

    by Kone910 on 6/11/19Cadillac Palace - Chicago

This was our first PJ Masks live show that we've been to. I thought that considering the venue, it would be a bigger and nicer production. The performance was okay and thought they could have done more with what they had. It really felt a bit like a high school play most times. For instance, the PJ Robot was a person walking behind a puppet robot. I didn't understand why they didn't just put someone into a robot costume for that. Anyways, my daughter had fun and enjoyed it, so that's all that really matters. The venue and the staff there were fantastic and I'd highly recommend seeing other performances at this location!

    Ok for kids

by Turkey on 6/11/19Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Dont get me wrong i clearly have no experience in theater but i felt they could have done more to make it more realistic. Like letting owlette fly by hookong her up to the cords or whatever. And when they changed into their characters maybe have fog to hide them and lights flashing to where you can see their shadow as they changed. Again fine for little kids, but make it more realistic.

    Great Show!

    by 109876 on 6/10/19Cadillac Palace - Chicago

The show was really well done. The sets and background were a mix of old school and technology making the scenes extremely lifelike. The actors were very good. You could tell they were very into their characters and it showed in their performances. They were really genuine in bringing across the message to the kids. Excellent time!!

5 yea old son LOVED the show!

by SDmom on 6/5/19Sanford Pentagon - Sioux Falls

My son absolutely loved the show! My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the venue's concessions were terribley slow and could not handle the crowd size well. Waiting 20 min in line with a young child for popcorn, then get to the front and learn theyre out of popcorn... not pleasant. Also, waiting in a very short crowded hallway.

Performance great, venue not so much

by Kreilly on 6/4/19Sanford Pentagon - Sioux Falls

When arriving our seats were not where the map showed. We were so far to the side we could only see half the show and all of the back stage. We were supposed to be in the center. Not impressed. The show waa great and my daughter enjoyed what we could see. Someone took our neighbors seat and wouldn't move so we had to share a seat.

Too expensive for what it was

by n. on 6/3/19Sanford Pentagon - Sioux Falls

It was just not good value when you are talking about a show for toddlers you shouldn’t charge so much since they probably be spending a lot of time in the bathroom or getting toys or getting snacks anyway and losing interest because it’s too hard to follow up on stage and hear what’s going on
