MY HUSBAND AND I WENT FOR THE OPENER. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN THE TEAM PLAYED AMAZINGLY. WE ARE PONDERING SEASON TICKETS NOW!!!
It was very exciting to see indoor foot ball again.. the crowd was great and the halftime show was good. It did start to get a little slow in the 3rd quarter, but then picked up again at the end of the 4th going into overtime.
Went with my family. We had a great time and everyone was entertained. Arena football is so much fun, and watching the Power was definately 2 thumbs up.
I had never even watched an arena football game in my life until I went to this game. I will definitely be going back very soon. This game combines the game of football with the hitting/intensity and fast pace of hockey. Plus it is high-scoring! Very entertaining....and very reasonably priced.
Arena football is a totally different experience than Nfl football. It was a great time, the crowd is loud and encouraged to participate during the fast paced game. I would recommend it.
Indoor football in Pittsburgh? I was not sure about it, but the game was FANTASTIC!!!! Hard hitting, hard play and very exciting. Those players played their hearts out. My seats were great, much better than the last time I was at the Consol. It was pretty cold in there, but the game was great. Every Pittsburgher should give the team a chance and go to a home game. I would definately go back. Great job Lynn Swann. Was curious to know if Lynn chuckled when our new governor got booed. It was a loss, but an exciting game. GO POWER
The game itself was great. We are an excellent time once we got into the game. However, the 45 minute wait in the will call line was ridiculous. We missed the first quart of the game because we had to stand outside in the cold waiting to get our tickets. There were only 3 ticket windows open outside with about 400 people waiting in line. It wasn’t until 20 minutes after the game started that they opened up some ticket windows inside. It’s too bad that we had to pay full price to watch ¾ of the game. It was also strange that they would not let people use the main gate to the Consol Center. People had to walk up the hill to use the side entrance. If this is how you are going to treat people on your opening night when you are trying to attract fans, how are you going to treat them once the season is in full swing? Overall the game was fun and exciting but get there early if you want to see the entire game.
alot more than I expected. the crowd was great and the product was great. A must see.
The game was great but the customer service at will-call were horrible! First we had to wait in line outside to get into the Consol Energy Center. Following that we had to wait in another line to pick up our tickets. The will-call booth was located behind a pole that caused confusion of where the line was to be formed. Once the path of the line was determined it was evident that the customer service that we were about to receive was not going to be positive. Each person in line had a negative experience with the will-call agent. The agent was nasty and he had a miserable tone voice. Much to our horror our tickets were lost. Even after we had explained to him that the bought the tickets on ticketmaster.com using giftcards he continued to try and swipe a credit he asked me for. He eventually returned the credit card to me and gave my driver's license to another person standing next to him. That person walked away with me license without explanation. The agent then yelled at me to step aside. This was extremely embarrassing and we had no idea of what was going to occur next. The next person in line also had the same problem where they were unable to find his tickets. However, the agent came back with his original tickets but apologized to him for the difficulty and upgraded his seats. We were still standing on the side and the agent would not update us regarding the status of our tickets. We were standing there for around half an hour with no update. Eventually the man who took my license with him returned with my license and handed us our tickets, still without an apology. The service that we received was deplorable and made us feel like they did not care about us. This experience was extremely disheartening and has us to reconsider attending another event at the Consol Energy Center. What started out as a rare opportunity for a date night with my husband quickly became an embarrassing night where we were made to feel unimportant and as if we were not wanted as a fan.
Everything was bad. From waiting in line outside for 30 minutes to get inside. To waiting another 45 minutes at the willcall box. Whoever was in charge of the willcall tickets, please reconsider your method of distributing those tickets. There were no definite "lines" made with some kind of guide rope so you didn't know where the lines started or ended. There were only 1 window open per 10 letters of the alphabet, so the lines were ridiculously long. everyone behind the counter were running around confused and unorganized. it was clearly not put together well, and made us late for the game. I understand that the annoucer at the game was trying to get everyone to cheer for the team, but he needed to tone it down. we left in the 3rd quarter because the announcer was so annoying.
Went to the Pittsburgh Power opener and the game was very exciting. The entrances were chaos though. Our tickets had to be picked up at Will Call, and when the doors opened from 4 different ways it was very hard to push against the natural flow of people going inside to go to their seats. Why is there no Will Call window on the outside so people can get their tickets? We could have picked up our tickets while the doors were closed. Seats were General Admission so we got there and sat down early to get some good ones. Steps are very steep, but you had a good view of the field. I went to use the restrooms and concession area about 8 minutes BEFORE halftime. The concession stand lines were moving ridiculously slow. You had concession people waiting for orders to be made instead of waiting on the next person. In my case they could have given me the premade bucket of popcorn and soda and gotten on to the next person. It took about 20 minutes for them to wait on 4 people in line before me. It wasn't even the halftime rush. That really needs to improve. Overall the game was pretty exciting. PA announcer was annoying. Speaking very quietly and then screaming 5 seconds later. Hope this helps.
This was my first experience with arena football and I must say it was pretty exciting. Lots of scoring and you really should not leave until the final whistle. I will most likely attend one or two more games. General Admission tickets were really cheap, and the seats we picked were great.
We had a great time at the game. The action was fast-paced and high scoring. You feel so close to the action with the indoor setting. A tough loss in overtime for the power, but it was very exciting. The players and Lynn Swann signed autographs on the field after the game. I would highly recommend that every sports fan go to a least one Power game this year.
The Power were electrifying. The game was exciting and action-packed.
You have to check out Arena Football in the Pittsburgh Area.
except for them not winning it was so fun! Intense, audience was a blast and excited. My 2 boys were so happy to be at the first pittsburgh power game!
It was a fun night. Having never seen an arena football game, it was exciting and the tickets were well worth it considering how inexpensive they are.
It was incredible tasteless and political for your former, want-to-be extreme gubernatorial candidate owner to have Mr. Corbett as the "coin flipper." What a way to start the season. The only good part of the evening was the loud and vigorous "boos" that Corbett received. It only got worse from there. The game seemed more like a kids pick up game and the dancers were pathetic. What a family night out. More than $100 for the tickets, another $20 to park and $50 more to eat. Mr. Swan you're quite a businessman and a great profitter. After all, it's all about the bottom line, right?
The seats were great, the energy of the arena was even better. I will definitely be going back.
The general admission tickets were a great deal. Arrive an hour early and get great seats it was well worth it. Got front row in section 221. Lost the game in OT but that was the most fun i've had at a sporting event in a long time. Buying season tickets for sure.
