Our family had a great time at the 1st Pittsburgh Power game. Non stop action. It was a great time for all. Can wait to go back !
I've been an arena football fan for awhile and when they announced Pittsburgh was getting a team I was pumped. I went to their first game ever in franchise history and wow what a great team the Pitttsburgh Power is. Tons of talent on their roster. It is a very fast pace, fan friendly event and you wont regret going.
I wasn't sure what to expect from arena football. It reminded me more of the pace of watching a basketball game as opposed to football. I thought the announcer was a bit annoying. The upper level, general admission seats were a lot more crowded than the lower level seating. I think for cheering purposes (and for what is seen on TV) lower ticket prices in the lower sections so that they would fill up more would be beneficial. I enjoyed my experience and would go again.
Great action. Arena football is non stop excitement. Anyone who loves football, will love arena football.
The venue is beautiful and the game was fun! The only thing that would have made it better is if the Power had won. It was still a fun game.
I used to go to the Pittsburgh Gladiators when they were around and enjoyed the indoor football in those days. The fast pace, the differences from NFL, the niche market all made indoor football a lot of fun. I guess I've changed a lot since then. What i don't like about the Pittsburgh Power is what i don't like about basketball: too much scoring and the last 2 minutes are all that really matter. The crowd was rowdy and fun, it was loud and pumped, it had all the makings of a good time at Consol, but it just left me disinterested. I can't even say thatbthe Sparks were all that interesting. Cute, yes. Sexy, definitely, but worth the trip, no. Parking cost as much as my 100 level tickets (with my Pens season ticket holder discount) which I found disappointing. Chatam could have driven away lots of potential fans just by charging $20 for parking. I'm also not sure where they sell real beer on the 100 level. I had to go to the 200 level to get a non-light beer.
overall i would go back. pros - football , fans, pittsburgh ,seats are good no mater where you are Con, food not that good for the prices
Had a great time once we got in and up to our seats. The will call line was terrible and not handled very well. Otherwise, I recommend a GA ticket for an inexpensive night out.
I wanted to attend just to see a game. Pittsburgh had an Arena team back in the 80's that did not last. This is their 2nd time at it. The game was exciting and the tickets affordable. I will definitely go back to more games and will recommend this a a night out for anyone.
the game was exciting...show just how fun arena football can be..a much better product that i remember back in the gladiator days...on the neagtive end..bad planning which caused the trib gate not to be open with only a half hour left until kickoff....souvenirs were cheap./.not worth buying...for such an event would have been nice to offer better quality and choice...but those gaffes were minor to the game...it was a great experience
