Very unexpected, i really like the show, the performances were great, the music, and sassy atmosfere was incredible. Love it
Wonderful story line, good circus acts, good cast. Some adult themes. Children would like the acts but there are some adult themes. Good for ages 14 and above.
This was a brilliant production! The cast was strong in every area---dancing, singing, acting. Perhaps the lead was a bit stiff, but was more than adequate. I recommend it without hesitation.
A great show that makes you really think about life and its purpose.
The only way to describe Pippin is singing circus people, and it was so amazing. I find it impossible to describe. If you ever get the chance, see Pippin.
This production tends to tone down the overt sexuality found in Fosse's original choreography, thus making it a PG, family friendly show. However, that said, the costuming, staging, and actors are uniformly excellent. The actor who plays Pippin is an extraordinary tenor while the actor who plays the Lead Player makes one ask, "Why did it take so long to get a woman in this role?" It works perfectly and almost makes more sense in the story than having a man in the role. Would definitely recommend.
A throw-back to the 70s! High energy, bright costumes, talented performers this production had it all. Additionally, The Cadillac Palace Theater is a spectacular venue with no bad seats. Great Entertainment!
My daughter wanted to see Pippin for her 21st birthday so I went in not knowing anything about this musical and came out loving it. This may be my new favorite. The cast was captivating from the moment they stepped on stage brought this story to life. Watching this was a treat and time flew by before I knew it was over and time to return home.
Wow what fun! Great music, acting and energy! The vocals were great, pippin, Lewis was outstanding and grandma stole the show! A great time!
It's fun and everyone cheered and stood at the end. If you love musicals, an offbeat story, acrobatics and dancing, some political satire, and fine acting and singing, I highly recommend you see this!
I would not recommend taking children due to some language content and sexual content. I was surprised.
This show kind of drove me nuts. The big cliffhanger from the end of act 1 was negated IMMEDIATELY in act 2. The mic balance was off and could not hear the Player very well. The meta-moral was heavy handed - maybe okay for the 70s but forced and antiquated in this day and age. Excellent acrobatics.
Acrobatic performances were fantastic. Story jumbled. Not a show for children. Vulgar in many instances.
Pippin was a magical journey that everyone can enjoy. Appropriate for all ages, young and old. The circus acts were amazing. The entire cast looked as if they were having as much fun ad we were to watch it.
We loved the first act: amazing acrobatics, good humor, staging, singing. The second act was anti-climatic.
We really enjoyed it. The music and acrobatics were wonderful. Our seats were great.
What a wonderful night at the theater--superb music, great dancing, terrific songs--the whole thing was a real treat. SO glad we took the time to go!
It has been years since I saw the show and it was SO MUCH more than I remembered or expected. It was simply phenomenal. Amazing talent, music, sets and more. It was the best show I have seen in years.
By far my favorite show ever. Stunning, emotional, beautiful. Talent was absolutely outstanding! I'd see it every night!
