Originally from Oshawa, Canada, Phil is now a key figure in the NYC comedy scene, performing regularly at the Comedy Cellar. With nearly 600K followers on Instagram and 370K on TikTok, he's appeared on major late-night shows like The Tonight Show, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and The Late Late Show.
Hanley's memoir, SPELLBOUND: My Life as a Dyslexic, chronicles his lifelong struggle with dyslexia and how comedy became his saving grace. Hanley's goal in writing this book is to continue his advocacy for dyslexia awareness and his commitment to using his platform to inspire others and promote a deeper understanding of neurodiversity.
He also self-released his stand-up special, Ooh La La, on YouTube, which has amassed over 2 million views. Additionally, Phil was featured in the film I Feel Pretty and the Comedy Central series Inside Amy Schumer, with his half-hour special available on Comedy Central and iTunes. His 2018 album, Please Don't Chit Chat While I'm Pursuing My Dream, is a fan favorite.
Phil Hanley was ridiculously hysterical. He is so quick witted and clever. He's not all crowd work, which I was afraid of (in many ways). He's got great stories and great delivery. He delivers knock-out punch lines perfectly. I went with my daughter and we were laughing so hard it started to hurt.
Phil is such an amazing comedian. He has the presence of a super model, with the wit of a talk show host. He knows how to keep the crowd engaged, but not overly involved in the show. This was my third time seeing him live and I will go to every show he performs that is in proximity. Delaware loves you, Phil!
Love this venue for music. My second time for a comedian. First time we were pretty close with no issue. This time we were in row N, and the sound system was off. Made it very hard to enjoy or hear the show Will not go back for a comedian.

Phil was very entertaining. Definitely would see him again. You can tell bc he works the crowd so much that ever show will be different. Some comedians tell he same jokes with no crowd participation...gets old quick. Highly recommend Phil Hanley he's genius
Phil Hanley is hilarious and did tons of crowd work. He is authentic and presented new material not seen on Youtube. If you love Phil you gotta go to his show.

Hi, I enjoyed Phil Hanley's act but my seat was terrible. It made it really hard for me to see. It was at the Fillmore in Charlotte. I see from other reviews I wasn't the only one with a similar issue. Id like to see him live again though. The night was perfect other than our seats.
