    Peter Pan Soars

by MsPeg on 4/21/13Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

For anyone who still has a kid in them. A treat to watch Cathy Rigby fly around the stage -- made me want to try it! The last flight was fantastic (no details, don't want to spoil the surprise); even my husband was impressed! After the play I asked my grandson if he would like to be able to fly. "Sure, but without the wires!" I agree.

by MahTab0123 on 4/21/13Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

We have many Broadway shows and the aerial acts performed in this one were extremely interesting. Special mention for actor Cathy Rigby for the excellent breathtaking performance. Overall the innovations used are very creative and hold ones attention. Excellent and definitely recommended.

    Good for adults, too!

by auntjenny on 4/21/13Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I bought these tickets for me and my husband. He was a big fan of Peter Pan as a boy, so I knew he would enjoy the show. The sets were great and the flying that Cathy Rigby did was spectacular. She landed on things with precision and made it look so easy and fun. Very entertaining - it made us feel like kids again!

    Enjoyable

by Butter117 on 4/21/13Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Peter Pan is my all time favorite story from a long time ago when it would come on tv annually. I took my 6 year old great nephew to the Fox Theater to enjoy this classic in the flesh. The story and the flying was delightful, but during the 1st act Peter Pan said the word (ass) while talking to Tinkerbell ,my nephew has been talking about the ugly A word all weekend. He can not believe Tinkerbell would say such a word. I don't know why they would add a curse word to this old classic. I was very disappointed with the addition of that word, otherwise enjoyed the production.

    peter pan was wonderful

by Murfmeister on 4/21/13Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

As a child (a long, long time ago) I loved the Mary Martin production of Peter Pan. I got the album, memorized all the songs and vowed to never grow up. I was very excited to be able to take my grandchildren to the live production. I tried not to expect too much, but it was wonderful. The energy, the music, the sets and costumes were all perfect. Cathy Rigby's physical strength and flexibility was amazing. And the flying...we were actually sprinkled with fairy dust. I realized on the way home that, as in the play, Peter came back for a new generation.

    Peter Pan took flight!

by Cap10bob on 4/21/13Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I saw this production about 13 years ago on Broadway and couldn't wait to see it again! Cathy Rigby is wonderful! The characters were well cast and the scenes, sets and props moved very smoothly, I took my two children ages 10 and 7 and they were delighted. Cathy's vocals were very good. My only complaint was the sound in the theater. At times it was difficult to hear the the dialogue of the characters.

My son and I were riveted from beginning to end! Cathy Rigby's performance was amazing. I can't believe she's a grandmother the way she flips around and all the energy she has! The vocals were astounding the dancing was great. The lines Tiger Lily made with her legs were perfect and mesmerizing. If you have a chance, take the kids and go see it!

    Peter Pan was excellent!

by Anonymous on 4/8/13Scranton Cultural Center - Scranton

The performance was amazing! The cast was great, the cultural center employees were nice and helpful. Very organized! The only issue would be that the sound was very low when the cast was speaking. The music and singing were perfect! My seven year old boy was glued to the stage. I would definitely see Peter Pan again.

    Peter Pan

by cmbartho on 4/8/13Scranton Cultural Center - Scranton

Cathy Rigby was amazing in this production of Peter Pan. Over twenty years later and this amazing performer is going strong. The supporting cast, the set , choreography, lighting and sound were all outstanding, and well worth the price of our tickets. I was also thrilled that Cathy Rigby was doing a charity poster signing/ pictures immediately following the performance. My 18 year old autistic son is still "flying" over this experience. Thanks Scranton Cultural Center for bringing this to an easily accessible location. I can't say say enough how glad I am that we were able to see this top-notch performance.
