About

Peppa Pig on Tour

Since debuting in 2004, Peppa Pig has become the most famous snout in children's entertainment this side of Miss Piggy. For many toddlers, the British cartoon series is their first binge-watching obsession, thanks to its simple yet colorful animation, bite-sized, five-minute storylines (sample episode title: "Muddy Puddles" — and yes, it's about nothing more than jumping in muddy puddles), and straightforward dialogue that even a three-year-old can easily follow. And for parents, the sound of precocious Peppa, her tantrum-prone little brother George, their bumbling Daddy, and mild-mannered Mommy cackling together at the end of each episode has become so omnipresent, it's as if a whole ‘nother family of relatives has moved into the house. Like most successful children's franchises, Peppa Pig is a merchandising machine, and has spawned offshoot books, films, and even its own amusement park in the U.K. And in recent years, Peppa has stepped off the little screen and onto the big stage in Peppa Pig's Surprise! This live theatrical spectacular re-creates Peppa's world with the help of large life-sized puppets on wheels, costumed characters, and a cheerful headset-sporting host named Daisy who guides you through this pastoral fantasyland. You'll see Peppa partaking in her favorite activities — like going on road trips with her family, meeting with the beloved Mr. Potato, and enjoying a bubble bath after another glorious day spent splashing in the mud puddles. But Peppa Pig's Surprise! differs from the TV show in a significant way: It's a musical experience, with Daisy leading Peppa and friends through a series of boisterous song-and-dance numbers. Oh, and there's another big difference between Peppa Pig's Surprise! and its cartoon counterpart: You can't just watch it slumped in your seat like you would at home during a marathon TV session. This is a highly interactive experience, with Daisy encouraging the kids in the crowd to sing, dance, and play along. Just pretend the theater floor below your feet is a muddy puddle and get hopping.

  • It was a fun Sing-along, Dance-along, interactive Show!

    by Jill S. on 10/8/23Landers Center - SouthavenRating: 5 out of 5

We loved Peppa Pig Live! It was such a fun sing-along, dance- along show, interactive show! They had the lyrics on the screen to keep kids and parents sing-along, they had dancing, which got kids out of their chairs to have fun, and move around! Also, it was a great way for kids and parents to enjoy exercising together!

  • It wasn't what I expected but

by Flo on 10/7/23Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 3 out of 5

it wasn’t what I expected, but it was OK. For some reason, I thought that it would be full characters. I guess what I mean is I thought people were in the suits plan as the characters instead it was more like a puppet show. for some reason, I thought that it would be full characters. I guess what I mean is I thought people were in the suit's plan as the characters instead it was more like a upgraded upgraded puppet show My daughters loved it. That’s all that matters. However, I don't think it was worth what I paid for It however, I don't think it was worth what I paid for it.

  • Could have been more realistic. Felt like a puppet show

Cheap production. Felt like we were at a puppet show. Could have been more for he money.

  • Big disappointment

by Sue S on 10/7/23Family Arena - Saint CharlesRating: 2 out of 5

Technical issues & overly long intermission made this a disappointing experience. I thought I got a good deal on 2nd row seats but they were so far to the side of the stage the view was subpar at best. Had to let the kids go up in front of the stage to be able to see. Too much downtime allowed the kids to get very restless. Won't buy tix to this type of thing again.

  • Awful show like real bad

    by J. R. on 10/5/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Horrible way to present a show, my God daughter cried to leave because it was so bad. The people standing behind the characters rolling them around stage horrible! Please do not waste your money!

  • Great show but venue staff and organization ruined it.

by Trieu on 8/12/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Two reviews, first the show: The show was good, kept my kid's entertained. My daughter had been looking forward to this as she knew several of the songs really well and they enjoyed the musical. Overall the kids had a great time, when they were able to see the show. The venue and staff. This was one of the worst organized events I have ever been too. The section that we were in is where all the traffic ended up being. We were first row in stands. If you are going to use that area as the entry point for those on the floor, you need to block that section (other events I go to, that's what they do). They really should have had floor traffic use the tunnel. So for the first 15 minutes of a one hour show, my kids had to deal with that. Further more, the people working at security were very rude. This did not happen to us but to a couple of people around us. Too many incidents too describe but at a kids venue and event, if there is an issue you can be polite. For example if you don't have a wristband, you can politely ask someone who is holding their kid to leave the area because you need a wristband. Screaming at the top of your lungs and scaring a father and a child "Get off the floor!!"Angrily multiple times is not polite, the man didn't know. It was intermission and kids were all running around the floor area. And the guy was standing right in front of him, not like he was 10 feet away or anything. Great show, but poor organization and security staff ruined the show for a lot of people.

  • Amazing Show!

by Peppa Pig event on 8/9/23Rating: 4 out of 5

The event was amazing, the crew put on a great show. Interacted with the audience and kept children engaged. The facility wasn’t the greatest. The set up for the seating isn’t very well thought out, especially for children. We were centre main floor. With adults sitting throughout and the stage set higher made it difficult for my son to see. The main flooring sits a lot lower and isn’t elevated as seating continues upward. I also noticed other parents having to sit their child on their lap just so they can have a some what better view. The top floor probably would have been the best seating in the theatre. I Wouldn’t recommend the same location for a children’s event.

  • Cheap

by Why on 8/8/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Strange way to do a show a with person begins the actual character. Looked very cheap

  • Poor

by Winger on 8/6/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Was sad to see people moving around the characters. My 4yr old granddaughter was asking why they were there. Sorry but in our opinion the cast should be inside of the character like daddy pig was

  • Good, not great

by KW on 8/5/23Rating: 3 out of 5

My daughter is 2 and maybe a bit young for the show. She liked it but there was a 30 min intermission which made it hard for her to sit still. The sound was really loud the first half but seemed to have been toned down for the second half.

  • Disorganized, short, boring

by Tonia on 8/1/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Got to the venue at 2:40 for 3pm show, didn't get in until 3:10 after waiting in long line outside in rain, got to seat at 3:30 after waiting in line to get water and snack, intermission occurred 5 min later. Show wasn't interactive or fun for my 4 year old, 30 min later was sitting in line in my car for 30 min to get out of parking lot. Not worth it

  • Aweful show.

by Papa on 8/1/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Stage was too small for venue Audio sysyem inadequate Show started on time BUT audience still coming in half-hour after start. My 5yr old grandaughter asked to leave at 1st intermission. A complete waste of time and money

  • The show is very under impressive

by Mom of 2 on 8/1/23Rating: 1 out of 5

The show is not exciting, not engaging and over priced. The actors do not even wear costumes but they just push a puppet around. Not sure it is live or just a recorded voice either. Do not recommend.

  • Not so good

by Hope on 7/23/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Not worth the money. Overpriced puppet show. Intermission was too long.

  • Was more like a puppet show

by Tasha on 7/23/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Don't waste your money. Was more like a puppet show. My two year old and six year old was not entertained. Left show early as well as i noticed many others did as well.

  • Horrible don't go

    by w. A. on 2/2/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Paid over $200 for 3 tickets and for pictures. Couldn't even get close to peppa pig even though it was not even a person. All characters were played by people behind them. No energy being there they wouldn't even move the characters, nothing like Peppa pig park where they actually dress up! LOW BUDGET SHOW, looks like if they made everything in a garage. 1 hour show with 25 minute break, and for 2 songs it was in the dark so no characters! Worse puppet show! Definitely a rip off!!

  • No intermission

by Hopeful mom on 1/3/23City National Grove of Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 3 out of 5

The show was great and engaging for kids…UNTIL they lose all attention with the intermission. Show isn’t THAT long and a 20min intermission is NOT necessary

  • Not the best

by Rachel on 1/2/23Baton Rouge River Center Theater - Baton RougeRating: 1 out of 5

The characters should have all been in costume not people behind them and miss rabbit definitely should have been there.
