This was one of the best shows I have ever seen!! Great show!!
So I bought the general admission tickets for my boyfriend and me (couldn't afford VIP unfortunately) as a Christmas gift. I'll admit, my boyfriend is a bigger Pentaholic than me, having watched them since they were on the Sing-Off. We got there about 3 hours before the show and were pretty close to the stage. Everything from the opening of the show to the end was beautifully done. Each member has such a great stage presence and charisma that really resonates with the audience. I had an amazing time and so did my boyfriend, admitting it was one of the best nights of his life :) They are just as attractive in person as on video. And our chair girl was hilarious.
They are amazing! Great family show as well! Great music!
They are unbelievable! Sound just as great live as they do on their videos and recordings.
The lightings, the choreo, and the SINGING was unforgettable. If you think they are good online, you MUST see them live oh my gosh. They way they work together in harmony, and Avi's incredible bass and Kevin's killer beat boxing skills oh ma gosh. You can tell that it was amazing :D.
I rooted for them on the sing-off. I saw them in concert last year at the House of Blues. On Tuesday night they put on a spectacular performance. They have gotten much better, which is impressive, since they were amazing all along.
The best concert I've been to so far in my life. Not only is it an a Capella group but you can just listen to them all day. I was mind-blown and I can't wait to see them again!
This was certainly a perfect night for my friend and I. Getting the VIP pass, we got very cool items and experience with the PTX group. They treated us very well and acted as I would have imagined. I'm totally in love with the pass and ticket and the dog tag and bag that was given to the VIP members. As for the concert itself, I happened to get a great standing place in the very front, but the kids in the back had a hard time seeing. I would have preferred a venue with seats. But everything else was spot on. The sound was at perfect level, Pentatonix was very good to the crowd. And all of this was for a good price of 150 with the VIP! I enjoyed this very much. I can't wait for the next one!
My kids had an unforgettable experience. It was their first concert and they were blown away. The venue was pretty good although quite packed so we were all the way in the back on a ramp. The performers exceeded our expectations though and a good time was had by all!
Blew my mind! Nuff said. No seats all standing but you are dancing, jumping, and singing every line.
Pentatonix put on a great show. High energy, and the crowd (2,000-ish) was going crazy. It didn't hurt that I was front and center, but be prepared to spend some money for that. Totally worth it, of course.
Pentatonix rocked. The music was fabulous. But the venue is terrible. It is standing room (very crowded) only.
I've been a fan of these since their first performance on The Sing Off. They are SOO MUCH BETTER LIVE!
Incredibly talented musicians with an astounding range! Thoroughly enjoyed the music. The venue, however, was another story. They let us in over an hour late, and didn't enjoy standing for the whole waiting period and show.
PTX played non-stop for 2 hours, keeping the audience dancing, singing and engaged. They are an extremely talented group using just their voices to produce beautiful music. No instruments!
I love the song choices and they are so talented. Best a cappella group ever. Very high-energy in the show. This is a must see for any music fan.
Even the before-show playlist had me moving so I had no doubt the show would be more exciting and they proved me so right. This was my first Pentatonix concert and I was floored with how much talent boomed from these people. As amazing as they are online, they're easily 10x better live. They gave back every bit of the awesome energy thrumming through the crowd, inciting hoops and hollers and the youngest (and cutest) audience members belting out the tunes verbatim. I cannot wait until they hit the bay again. I'm so there.
We took our 4 yr old daughter to see Pentatonix because ever since we introduced their "Somebody I Used to Know" video to her, she has been obsessed with them. (Actually our 1 yr old is also obsessed with them, but she didn't get to go to the concert.) Our daughters love all of their songs and ask to watch their YouTube videos repeatedly so when we heard they were coming to Chicago, we were super excited to see them! They are such an incredibly talented group of singers and it was so much fun watching them perform. They are true artists with amazing vocal gifts and it's even more amazing to see them perform live because you just can't believe all of the sounds that they can generate with just their voices! I loved every minute of it - they have great stage presence and know how to interact with the audience. My daughter and I were bopping and singing along to every tune! Unfortunately, they didn't sing "Somebody I Used to Know" so we were a little disappointed with that because that was one of our favorites, but the entire concert was amazing nonetheless. I would highly recommend seeing them in concert if you get the chance!
If you like Pentatonix, you would LOVE this concert. The tickets cost next to nothing and they put on a great show. I would have happily paid double. They even did some new stuff I hadn't heard before. It wasn't a high-budget super rock star show, but it's not really about that with them. They even had a guest a cappella group come out and dance with them a little. The theater was in Oakland, which was a little scary, but the area the theater was in was pretty nice (once you got to it).
Pentatonix is simply amazing. Each member has such an amazing voices/acapella skills, and they blend so beautifully together. I have to admit I wasn't sure if ONE acapella group can pull off a 1:30 hour concert, but it's amazing just how much energy they had. And their voices/skills never faltered! I'm just amazed that 5 people can produce such full-bodied songs for that long! And they did so in such an entertaining way. Loved their little choreographed sequences for each song. And their use of lighting was very effective. I also really loved the venue. Fox Theatre is a really nice, small theatre, and their VIP upgrade was worth the extra $50. I would definitely watch Pentatonix again, and I would definitely consider watching more concerts at Fox Theatre.
