This a a fabulous show. If you get an opportunity to see it in your city, I would highly recommend it.
The orchestra and the guest trumpet soloist, Ryan Anthony, were marvelous. The music selections were broad and wonderfully entertaining for all. Bravo!
It was very nice but I just wish little more dynamic. But over all I will recommend.
Symphony was something to behold, especially for New Years Eve. Thank you Saenger Theater for the show.
The conductor was thrilling as always and the orchestra played outstandingly well as usual. I enjoyed the rendition of the national anthem with the lovely UWF singers group along with the childrens choir group. Overall a great and moving experience with the Transmigration Of Souls by John Adams. It evoked a roller coaster of emotions I didn't know I still carried with me all these years. Thank you!
Drove over to Pensacola for a long weekend. Very good performace by the PSO. Would recommend. Also enjoyed touring the historic residential neighborhoods while there...beautiful architecture. This was a very plesant weekend getaway.
Amazing group of talent for such a small city & of course, my favorite venue.
Truly enjoyable experience! The guest violinist was amazing! The Pensacola symphony talent has got be some of the best we have ever heard. I have recently moved here from Baton Rouge and I feel we are blessed to have so great a company of individuals who share their talent and passion with us!! Hats off to all!
Orchestra and singer were both great. I would have preferred less talking and intro to each song. I had anticipated the singer would wear a Sinatra style hat in a few songs, but he never did. Would have been a great accent.
Absolutely fabulous event! The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra provided a world-class instrumental canvas for Steve Lippia's fantastic Sinatra voice-twin artistry. Enjoyed every note!
1st time event for me and i thoroughly enjoyed it! Beautiful sound and the unexpected ballet appearance was an added bonus.
We really enjoyed the first half. My Wife and I are looking forward to see more shows however maybe in different seatting
The orchestra was fabulous and the big band music selections was excellent.
Wonderful Symphonyh Orchestra. Christopher Vadala was fantastic and made the entire evening. The only negative comment I have is that the entire repertoire was not condusive for the excitement that should have been displayed on New Year's Eve. The program seemed to be designed for the enjoyment of the orchestra in that the selections were those that appeared to what the members loved playing most whereas the music should have leaned more to the anticipation of the audience who, at least I, would have preferred a lighter and more whimsical presentation. Perhaps an example of what would have been more appreciated would have taken the approach of The Boston Pops--light and lively and less serious and somber--at least on this night.
there were 4 in our party - 2 from pensacola and 2 from boston. we all thoroughly enjoyed the performance. very creative. very well done. a lot of fun for the audience. great time in pensacola.
