About

Penn & Teller On Tour

Not exactly comedians but more than just magicians, Penn & Teller bring a quirky combination of laughs and illusions to every performance. You're ready to laugh before they even trot out their tricks, with the big, brash Penn Jillette towering over his staid, unspeaking partner Teller. And once they dip into the bag of tricks they've been perfecting since the 1970s, you're simultaneously dazzled and delighted. Whether they're working with things like magic bullets, nail guns, and straitjackets, or just employing a seemingly ordinary deck of cards to demonstrate some sleight of hand, the duo can make you doubt your own senses as they appear to make the impossible happen right before your eyes. Sometimes they toss a touch of danger into the mix, and sometimes they simply play the whole thing for laughs, but whatever illusion they're unveiling, Penn & Teller can always pull it off.

Penn & Teller Background

America's most famous magic/comedy duo actually started out as a trio in the '70s, but when third member Weir Chrisemer left in 1981, Penn Jillette and Raymond Teller (who has always gone by just his surname) continued on together, and it was then that their star began to rise. With TV appearances on such shows as Late Night With David Letterman and Saturday Night Live, a series of Broadway shows, and their own Emmy-winning special on PBS, Penn & Teller carved out a niche in show business and became household names in the process. In the years that followed, they became TV personalities in their own right, first with a Showtime series and then with Fool Us on the CW. They've earned their own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. They've appeared in music videos by Run-DMC and Katy Perry. They've established a record-breaking residency in Las Vegas. And throughout all of these accomplishments, Penn & Teller have shown that a big, loud guy and a small, silent guy can make people gasp and guffaw at the same time.

  • A little let down…

by Zach on 10/6/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

I was really looking forward to this show but was very let down. For world renowned magicians I didn’t feel the magic was overly great, especially for a Las Vegas show. Def at no point did I feel ‘blown away’. Not worth the money in my opinion.

  • Entertaining, funny great show

by English Irish on 10/2/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Purchased tickets for my partner and I on a special trip to vegas, we found the show to be a great evening out, it was funny, witty, great tricks, some loved old ones and some not seen before - great dialogues whilst performing audience participation tricks. Great show and they said it changes all the time so would go again if we are in vegas soon. Really loved it.

by DS on 10/1/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic! Met all, and exceeded, any and all expectations I had. This is a must see show. The best entertainment that money can buy. Funny, so, funny. I laughed from the start of the show, and find myself still enjoying this priceless adventure.

  • Not what expected

by Magic enthusiast on 9/24/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

We did not enjoy the show very much. We would have liked to see more magic tricks, there were just a few. Most of the show was involving the public, funny stories, mind-reading tricks. Please not this is our personal opinion and perhaps our expectations were not correct.

  • Great OLD SCHOOL magic

by Grandprix52001 on 9/23/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

It was great seeing you old school magic without all the glitz, glamour and lights. I took my in-laws to the show cause they love to watch Penn & Teller on tv all the time. They loved the show. Penn & Teller also get the audience involved with their acts throughout the show.

  • Always a Great Show!

by AndreaIvins on 9/11/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The absolute BEST in Vegas, the world, or the universe. P&T are incredible and we will keep coming to the show year after year.

  • Fun but not worth $250 per ticket.

by Bob on 9/8/24Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - LedyardRating: 3 out of 5

I’ve been a fan of P&T for years but never got to see them live. I had an opportunity to take myself and 4 other family members in May and I definitely left disappointed. The show itself was fun but none of the tricks were really that entertaining or interesting to me. One or two seemed to be boring and lacking imagination (in my opinion). At the end of the show I was disappointed they didn’t even perform their signature “bullet catch” trick. I understand they’re getting older and can’t perform the same stage show they used to but if you’re going to tone down the show then you have to bring down the price. At $250 per ticket for 5 people I definitely left disappointed. Frankly I’d say skip it, unless you have a burning need to see them live before they retire. I’ve already been roasted on other social media for this opinion but the fact is they aren’t performing to the level they used to but we can’t expect them to either. My only beef is that the tickets should have been cheaper.

  • It was all I had expected and more

by Kai on 9/6/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The whole experience was worth every penny! I just regret that there were no seats available in the first couple of rows. Everything from the Live Jazz Music presentation ahead of the actual show, the ambience of the theater as well as of course the performance of Penn and Teller were absolutely fantastic. I can wholeheartedly recommend everyone that enjoys, Magic, Music and a good Laugh to visit this extraordinary show. You will not regret it.

  • Penn talking slot isn’t the show we hoped for.

by Bill on 9/6/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

Teller did the goldfish/coin trick so well. Aside from that, None of the slickness we’ve come to expect was there in the rest of the act. Some was totally lame. Book elsewhere if you can

  • Still a must see!

by JenNSBFL on 9/4/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

We haven't seen the duo in no less than 20 years and they are still rocking it! We can't get over the goldfish trick by Teller. Simply amazing! We love the audience participation and the new (to us) tricks.

  • Glad we went

by DenisB on 9/3/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Very entertaining. Much more comedy than I had expected. A great deal of audience participation. P&T will leave wondering how they did it.

  • Magical moments

by Fluze on 8/30/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Chose this show in Vegas as husband is a huge fan- used to watch them on TV. We got good seats (tickets), reasonably priced for Vegas -no interaction with us though & no souvenir programme unfortunately. The quality of the tricks was variable- ranging from mundane to amazing ! On the whole - it was a good night out but could have been better.

  • Magical fun!

by Rob on 8/28/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

What a joyous show last night with @pennjillette & @MrTeller so much new material I hadn’t seen before. A wonderful, magical way to end my time in Vegas! Now where did that elephant go?

  • Had a Wonderful Time

by Angel K on 8/20/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Penn and Teller were so much fun to see. We waited several years to see them because of COVID-19, but glad we were able to fit the show in on this trip. Thanks for the laughs and the amazement!!!

  • The tv show is better. But still fun.

by Rockstar on 8/15/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Fun show don't really think it's worth the money in a little bit predictable but still fun.

  • A great show

by Bruce on 8/14/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I've watched them on various TV shows, especially "Fool Us"for years, and this was my first time to see them in person. It's a great show; lots of humor, audience participation, and fun.

  • Tired.

by P and T on 8/12/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

Heavy focus on convincing crowd there are no “plants” in the audience. Boring.
