About

Penn & Teller On Tour

Not exactly comedians but more than just magicians, Penn & Teller bring a quirky combination of laughs and illusions to every performance. You're ready to laugh before they even trot out their tricks, with the big, brash Penn Jillette towering over his staid, unspeaking partner Teller. And once they dip into the bag of tricks they've been perfecting since the 1970s, you're simultaneously dazzled and delighted. Whether they're working with things like magic bullets, nail guns, and straitjackets, or just employing a seemingly ordinary deck of cards to demonstrate some sleight of hand, the duo can make you doubt your own senses as they appear to make the impossible happen right before your eyes. Sometimes they toss a touch of danger into the mix, and sometimes they simply play the whole thing for laughs, but whatever illusion they're unveiling, Penn & Teller can always pull it off.

Penn & Teller Background

America's most famous magic/comedy duo actually started out as a trio in the '70s, but when third member Weir Chrisemer left in 1981, Penn Jillette and Raymond Teller (who has always gone by just his surname) continued on together, and it was then that their star began to rise. With TV appearances on such shows as Late Night With David Letterman and Saturday Night Live, a series of Broadway shows, and their own Emmy-winning special on PBS, Penn & Teller carved out a niche in show business and became household names in the process. In the years that followed, they became TV personalities in their own right, first with a Showtime series and then with Fool Us on the CW. They've earned their own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. They've appeared in music videos by Run-DMC and Katy Perry. They've established a record-breaking residency in Las Vegas. And throughout all of these accomplishments, Penn & Teller have shown that a big, loud guy and a small, silent guy can make people gasp and guffaw at the same time.

  • Legends but lacked the awe

They seem like genuinely nice people and are clearly masters of their trade. I just didn’t feel the pizazz I usually get in a magic show. I think the production/lighting/music could’ve been fresher. I also was not expecting to have seen so many of the tricks performed years back on TV. They executed them very well but I would have liked to have seen newer material or at least more modern production styles. They were so kind to the audience and I would love to see them selling out shows.

Penn&Teller truly are the benchmark which all other Vegas shows should strive for. Hilarious, clever and interactive...this show has something for all ages and even the most casual of magic fans. My daughter was called up to help with a 10 minute long trick and she was all smiles the rest of our trip. Absolutely worth every penny, and the Mike Jones Duo is a special added bonus before the show.

  • Worth every penny

My mid-forties son has wanted to see Penn and Teller for about 30 years so I splurged and bought tickets in the third row from the stage. He was NOT disappointed! The magic tricks were awesome and the comradery with the audience was great. Penn picked many people from the audience to "help"but I noticed that a lot of them were children. The children did not disappoint either. You are never quite sure what will com out of their mouths. This is a laugh a minute, family friendly show which can be rare in Vegas. If they are ever in your neck of the woods, don't hesitate to go to one of their shows, you won't regret it.

  • Great entertainment!

What else can be said about them, alway professionals and their comedy is just as good as their magic. I will be back to see them when I come back to Vegas. Worth it!

Penn and Teller are hilarious. They have been performing since 1975. They constantly engage with the audience which, makes them a Top Act to see in Las Vegas. Fun for all ages.

After watching Fool Us, I was worried if the real life show would keep the high bar... And my worries were completely smashed. The show was amazing, very interactive and filled with mind blowing magic.

My husband and I have watch them for years. This was our 43rd anniversary celebration. We know in person venues VS. TV are different, yet we expected some bling, and background pictures! The magic was awesome!

  • Venue is awful, show meh

by Vikatron on 8/4/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Show room at National Harbor is hardly a Casino Showroom. More like a badly designed ballroom. Front seats are on a flat floor and are removable folding chairs. Rear Orchestra Level is folding chairs on tempoorary seating risers. A quarter of the Audience on each side of this lower level are looking at a flat wall with giant video screen. None of the seats are angled towards the stage. Venue lobby is poorly designed to funnel people into the lower seating area. Waited in line inside this lobby for 20 minutes to get to a single usher checking tickets for half the audience. Good thing show started almost 15 minutes late. Penn & Teller show was almost an entire recycling of previous tricks. Nothing was new to me having watched their TV show.

  • Best Show ever!!!!

Good clean humor and incredible illusions. Took my mother and we both loved it. Show is just about the right length as well.

  • Great Show

by Chuck on 8/2/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The show was GREAT!! I've always been a big fan of Penn and Teller. The only problem I can come up with is getting to the parking lot. Many elevators were not in service. I don't gamble so I had no interest in going to the casino. I took a lot of time to get to my car.

  • Such an enjoyable show!

Great audience participation. All round good to great show. Though some of the bits were reworked old one we still enjoyed it very much. Loved the part of them showing us how some of it worked.
