Penn & Teller On Tour

Not exactly comedians but more than just magicians, Penn & Teller bring a quirky combination of laughs and illusions to every performance. You're ready to laugh before they even trot out their tricks, with the big, brash Penn Jillette towering over his staid, unspeaking partner Teller. And once they dip into the bag of tricks they've been perfecting since the 1970s, you're simultaneously dazzled and delighted. Whether they're working with things like magic bullets, nail guns, and straitjackets, or just employing a seemingly ordinary deck of cards to demonstrate some sleight of hand, the duo can make you doubt your own senses as they appear to make the impossible happen right before your eyes. Sometimes they toss a touch of danger into the mix, and sometimes they simply play the whole thing for laughs, but whatever illusion they're unveiling, Penn & Teller can always pull it off.

Penn & Teller Background

America's most famous magic/comedy duo actually started out as a trio in the '70s, but when third member Weir Chrisemer left in 1981, Penn Jillette and Raymond Teller (who has always gone by just his surname) continued on together, and it was then that their star began to rise. With TV appearances on such shows as Late Night With David Letterman and Saturday Night Live, a series of Broadway shows, and their own Emmy-winning special on PBS, Penn & Teller carved out a niche in show business and became household names in the process. In the years that followed, they became TV personalities in their own right, first with a Showtime series and then with Fool Us on the CW. They've earned their own star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. They've appeared in music videos by Run-DMC and Katy Perry. They've established a record-breaking residency in Las Vegas. And throughout all of these accomplishments, Penn & Teller have shown that a big, loud guy and a small, silent guy can make people gasp and guffaw at the same time.

If you are headed to Vegas and have an opportunity to see Penn & Teller, DO IT! They are truly masters of their craft. The show was laugh out loud funny with great audience participation. I can honestly say it was one of the best performances I have seen. Excellent for all ages as well. My 16 year old had a blast!

by Britinvegas on 5/14/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Superb. Everything I wanted after being a fan for about 35 years. And I got on stage! Great seats in an intimate venue. Well worth the price. Highly recommend.

Fun Show, Lots of Repetitive Built Up Preface

by Andrew on 5/14/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las Vegas

A few tricks had the same, drawn out, "as you can tell it's completely random people from the audience"message that kept being reiterated. The tricks were great themselves, the jokes and wittiness are as expected from Penn - not necessarily a kids show, I'd say 10+. They've been performing for over 40 years, worthwhile to see them.

    Amazing show!

by Melanie on 5/13/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Loved the Penn and Teller show! Would’ve been 5 stars, but my own fault - should’ve chosen the lower bowl/section of seating to be able to participate in the show and the crowd work that they do! Highly recommend this show for everyone.

    Great show

by Anne K on 5/13/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las Vegas

From watching Penn playing the bass pre-show, to the show itself, a great night. The magic was smart, the banter was funny and the whole experience was great.

    That Bloody Piano player

by Paul Johnston on 5/12/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The show in general is entertaining, decent show - certainly not in the David Copperfield area of magic but I’ve loved them for years & it was good to see them both - bUT we had seats to the right of the stage looking at the stage - there’s a bloody piano player who plays while they are performing (in parts) BUT me & my wife lost all dialogue during the playing so was annoying - we complained to the guy in the theatre & he said he’s not there throughout the show just small parts of it? If it was meant to be background music - they failed miserably! Apart from this a decent show!

Penn and Teller were great! I loved that they used almost half the audience for tricks throughout the show.

    Amazing

by Julia on 5/12/24Penn & Teller Theater at Rio Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This show was so worth the money! I sat in section 2, row L, seat 11--the distance was great (I could see the detail in their faces) and was seated on the center of the stage. Fabulous opportunities to interact in the show. Penn and Teller seem down to Earth and are, of course, hilarious. Their magic is mind blowing and entertaining. Please go, it was amazing!
