Peabo Still Gat It!!! Loved the Show!!

by DDUNN on 10/24/22Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas

Loved the venue at the Sante Fe Chrome Showroom. Our first time there. It was very intimate! Close and up front! I have loved Peabo Bryson for a long time. Even though we have all gotten little bit older, I must say that Peabo has aged gracefully! His voice is still awesome and strong. The band was slammin! Very good show, my husband and I really enjoyed it! It started on time and that is very important to me! The next day, I played "I'm So Into You" and " Feel The Fire" about 50 times real Loud! God Bless you Peabo! I am glad we had tickets for this event!

    Great night with great music

by Earl on 10/24/22Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas

Peabo has a voice that is unique and his alone. He sounds just like he does on the radio in person. I would see him over and over if it was possible and he will never disappoint. Thank you for the music. You made both my wife as well as myself have a great evening.

    Great artists! Poor Sound Technicians

by Bell on 9/13/22Cannon Center for the Performing Arts - Memphis

All four individuals/groups gave great performances. The first group was on the stage too long. With four artists, more technicians were needed for transitioning the breakdown and setup of equipment. This venue needs better sound technician. The audience couldn’t hear some singing or solo instruments playing and the technicians didn’t attempt to remedy the situation. There was loud noise in the mics with Jonathan Butler. With Peabo, the mic was not set for his guitar. This was the second concert I’ve attended recently at the Cannon Center and the sound system was very POOR!

    Good, Not Great

by BrenBren on 9/9/22Cannon Center for the Performing Arts - Memphis

I was impressed with all the performances but a little disappointed with Peabo. While his vocals are still good, he didn’t spend enough time singing the hits. Too much time on guitar act. I came to hear my old favorites.

    Sunday Soulful Sounds

by Cate on 9/7/22Cannon Center for the Performing Arts - Memphis

I missed the opening act, however Jonathan Butler made up for whatever I missed! He was on the other side of entertaining as well as inspirational. Najee was good but too loud, however Peabo mellowed it all the way down as only Mr. Bryson can. I enjoyed his song choices and was delighted to see bass player and conductor Mr. Watkins still with him.

    Overall good concert

by Ginger Tea on 9/7/22Cannon Center for the Performing Arts - Memphis

This concert was my husband's birthday gift. He really wanted to see Johnathan Butler and I Peabo Bryson. We had seen Najee before and enjoyed him previously so we felt like we hit the jackpot with Pieces of a Dream, Johnathan Butler, Najee and Peabo Bryson. A minus though, my husband being a musician was upset because the Bass consistently drowned out the keyboards, singers etc.. By the time the third set was on I couldn't hear as well because of fore mentioned. Peabo Bryson the last set finally got the sound right after 3 acts. I was ready to leave right before sound was corrected and I really wanted to see Peabo! We got our money's worth with the length of the concert. Unfortunately by and on the last set many older people (65+) were leaving being so late and Najee said he would sign cds bought and take pictures right after his set. That took away many people. Someone with an ear for music (all instruments) needs to sit in audience to let performers know when one instrument is drowning out other instruments, singers or the music is too loud (my husband said he wish he could have told them. Lol) Example a ballet shouldn't sound like a rock sound. Unfortunately this happened at another concert and once the final set came on that artist didn't perform until the sound was right. Overall we still enjoyed concert. A- not an A+ because of sound.

    The mc’s were…..

by It was ok on 9/7/22Cannon Center for the Performing Arts - Memphis

I didn’t like that they didn’t close the curtains while they changed the stage from each performer. The mc’s seemed as if though they were winging it to make up for time during the changing of the stage.

    EXCELLENT CONCERT

by Excited fan on 9/7/22Cannon Center for the Performing Arts - Memphis

I really enjoyed the concert, from the opening act to "The Peabo Bryson." I forgot he had so many hit songs and I reminisced over them all. Hopefully he will return to the Memphis area again, and Lord willing I will be there. Thoroughly worth every penny I spent.

    A little disappointed

by Pham on 9/7/22Cannon Center for the Performing Arts - Memphis

Clearly, Peabo wasn't remotely good...certain issues could have been remedied through professional experience, but it didn't happen! He could have been protected by placing him early in the show, with a 3-song-maxs. JB should have been the featured act. If he is part of anyone's lineup, he should play a large role

    Johnathan Butler ruined it

by A. R. on 9/7/22Cannon Center for the Performing Arts - Memphis

Let me say first off, that Najee, Pieces of a Dream, and Peabo Bryson nailed it. Their performances were worth 5 stars as far as I’m concerned. However, I will never pay money to see Johnathan Butler again. He had the audacity to refuse to sing the songs that put him on the map. I don’t have anything against gospel music, but gospel didn’t make him famous, contemporary jazz (with his original songs) did. One lady in the audience asked him to sing ‘Sarah Sarah’ (one of his biggest hits), and he refused to, with the snarky remark, “Sarah’s in the hospital…Sarah’s got Covid.” Not funny, Johnathan…👎🏾

    Not Exactly Thrilled!

by Big Ron on 9/7/22Cannon Center for the Performing Arts - Memphis

The constant problems with the artist's mics was very annoying! The stage crew was not at their best, and the guys running the sound board were too busy recording the show with their phones to properly run the board!!! The opening act stayed too long. We were "very disappointed" that Jonathan Butler didn't sing ANY of his hit songs that were constantly played during the radio advertisement! And the dead time between sets should be filled with more than constant shout outs and a stage filled with random people on the limited number of mics! Next time get a local comedian to perform in front of a curtain while the stage is being set behind the curtain! With a name like Fresh Ideas, I expected better! Hats off to Peabo for doing his best in this adverse situation! By the time he took the stage many people were leaving because they were fed up with the constant sound problems and how long it took to get to see the headliner perform!!!

    Great Show

by Mrs. D. on 9/7/22Cannon Center for the Performing Arts - Memphis

The show was very good. The only issue my husband and i experienced was the leg space for seating. The center really need ro update the seating setting. The seats are do close to one another and it is not comfortable. Many people were leaving because they could not strech out there legs to be comfortable. If one person needed to leave their seat the whole row had to get up to let them get by. Imagine trying to enjoy the show with people constantly moving around. Please consider better seating. Thanks

    313 Entertainment needs work

by Ftrain on 6/29/22Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill - Sterling Heights

Too many performing artists, not enough time for the Grammy award winning artist I came to see. Sound Engineers had their hands full trying to accommodate every artist in such a short time span. Pieces of a Dream and David Sanborn were awesome but short. Peebo got cut off after 12 minutes on stage!!! Ridiculous

    Dissapointing

by Nerdsnerd on 6/23/22Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill - Sterling Heights

Show was late to start performers swapped their performance time slots, with no notice to attendees and all the set lists were shorten up due to time constraints

Performances were good, but production could be improved

    by J. M. on 6/23/22

The show started about 45 minutes late, which wasn't a huge deal other than it pushed everything back. I was impressed with the three performances I did see, especially David Sanborn and Kim & Kayla Waters. However, the intermission between each act was fairly long which really drug out the whole show. I would recommend for future events to try and re-use as much as the same sound/mix setup for each performer to help speed things along and prevent additional sound issues.

    Not Happy

by Dimples on 6/22/22Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill - Sterling Heights

They started 45 minutes late, too many on artist to perform. They only song Melodie’s a small portion of several songs. Intermission between acts took to long. The sound system/ engineer was not working. Headliner song one sung. At the beginning of his 2nd song they cut the power because it was so late. I paid good money for my tickets and only got half of a performance. Extremely disappointed! Those who performed were good, the headliner was cheated and so were we.

    Not enough time

by Thomas on 6/22/22Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill - Sterling Heights

The concerts was over 30 minutes late starting thus Peabro Bryson was not given enough time to perform due to the ordinance that is in place for Sterling Heigjts
