PBR: Professional Bull Riders on Tour
For a rodeo rider, trying to master a feisty horse is tough enough, a task not to be taken lightly, but bearing down on a big bull increases the scariness quotient considerably. That's one of the things that makes watching a pro bull rider so compelling — it's thrilling and frightening in equal measure as you marvel at the riders' skills while praying that they make it out unscathed.
These days, when it comes to bull riding, it's all about PBR: Professional Bull Riders. The organization started back in 1992 as a grassroots effort spearheaded by a handful of riders with a vision for what the sport could offer to fans. PBR grew by leaps and bounds over the decades, and by the 2010s they were sponsoring three major tours every year, adding up to hundreds of events with millions of dollars in prizes being awarded annually.
Needless to say, attending a PBR event means watching the best bull riders in the business strutting their stuff. Over the years, champs like J.B. Mauney, Kody Lostroh, Justin McBride, Adriano Moraes, Chris Shivers, and Tuff Hedeman have all distinguished themselves as decorated heroes of the PBR, giving all the rest a high standard to which they could aspire. And each of their tours offer fans the opportunity to catch some bull riding history in the making, be it the Unleash the Beast Series that ends with the PBR World Finals in Las Vegas, The Velocity Tour that showcases the rising stars of the PBR, or the Touring Pro Division split into Western, Central, and Eastern regions.
Whichever PBR competition you end up catching, there's one common thread. You're guaranteed to see some world-class athletes reaching deep inside themselves to tap into the best of their talents and give rodeo lovers an unforgettable experience.
We arrived early to avoid parking issues downtown. Good experience overall. I would recommend holding this event back at lawler events center or the rodeo grounds. We sat up high but I am sure that the lower seats probably couldn’t really see much.
It was a good bull riding, but the venue was not ready for the amount of people that wanted dood and drink and it took way to long to get to the concessions. I would suggest 2 more bar set ups. In addition coming in the door there was confusion with some guest about what they could carry in-print it on the ticket or virtual ticket.
The night was a lot of fun. However, the music was so overpowering that the seats were vibrating. The announcer was continually trying to talk over the music which ended up being very loud. Other than that, everything was great.
The bulls and riders were great, I don’t think there was a bad seat in the place. Only thing is they didn’t serve Budweiser .
The riders, the music, the giveaways. All of it made for really good family entertainment.
My husband, son and myself had an amazing experience at our first PBR event and def not our last! I got to experience being in the shark tank and it was the most amazing rush ever! Matt Merritt kept everyone laughing and was great entertainment! We are hoping to make it to Vegas in Nov!! And any in between that are close!! Thank you PBR!!
Fun-energy was off the charts- We will do this again & bring family & friends!
My husband & I took our 3 kid's to the PBR for the 1st time. We had awesome seats and we all had a great time. Will definitely go again when it is in Jacksonville Florida!!
My first PBR but it was great, I surprised my grandpa with tickets he hasn’t been to a PBR in a long time
This was our first time attending a PBR event. We had a great time. It was a very entertaining evening. The show moved on at a very quick pace. The commentators and Host were excellent. The event was very engaging and before we knew it 2 hours had gone by and the end of the event. We will definitely go again when the tour returns to Jacksonville.
Great performances by the riders, bull fighters, and announcers.
They didn't make full use of the floor. When I chose my seats I wasn't aware of this so we was sitting behind the stage so couldn't see the anything except back of the announcers head along with equipment.
great show, easy to get in, easy way out. Definitely worth it
It was great as always! All of us go from age 70 to 2 years old. Only thing we miss is the clown from 3/4 years ago! He is so funny and entertaining! Last 2 years clown wasn’t all that great. Good just not great! Can’t wait for y’all to be in Jacksonville Florida again!
This was one exciting evening. From getting the tickets and seats we wanted. Purchasing a parking permit was easy and well worth it. The program was excellent. Great job by all the staff at the facility and the entertainment was everything We expected. Thank you.

I bought the premium experience tickets w a backstage tour and history of pbr. Really interesting, super fun, and my seats were right next to the action. I wouldn’t see another PBR event any other way! I cant wait to go back!
Hands down awesome! While they were preparing for the next ride, the kept the crowd going with entertainment of music, comedy and had alot of crowd participation! This was my girls first PBR event and they absolutely loved it!
I was not happy with my seats. The website did not show that almost half of the arena would be used for staging and bar. This should have been made known.
Ticketmaster made no reference to obscured views or that 1/2 of the arena would not be in use when I booked tickets. I paid nearly $200 for 3 seats and all we could see was the back of the cameraman and the rail of the arena. Ended up having to stand for the whole event at the back. Not impressed with Tickmaster but thoroughly enjoyed the PBR event.
