PBR: Professional Bull Riders on Tour
For a rodeo rider, trying to master a feisty horse is tough enough, a task not to be taken lightly, but bearing down on a big bull increases the scariness quotient considerably. That's one of the things that makes watching a pro bull rider so compelling — it's thrilling and frightening in equal measure as you marvel at the riders' skills while praying that they make it out unscathed.
These days, when it comes to bull riding, it's all about PBR: Professional Bull Riders. The organization started back in 1992 as a grassroots effort spearheaded by a handful of riders with a vision for what the sport could offer to fans. PBR grew by leaps and bounds over the decades, and by the 2010s they were sponsoring three major tours every year, adding up to hundreds of events with millions of dollars in prizes being awarded annually.
Needless to say, attending a PBR event means watching the best bull riders in the business strutting their stuff. Over the years, champs like J.B. Mauney, Kody Lostroh, Justin McBride, Adriano Moraes, Chris Shivers, and Tuff Hedeman have all distinguished themselves as decorated heroes of the PBR, giving all the rest a high standard to which they could aspire. And each of their tours offer fans the opportunity to catch some bull riding history in the making, be it the Unleash the Beast Series that ends with the PBR World Finals in Las Vegas, The Velocity Tour that showcases the rising stars of the PBR, or the Touring Pro Division split into Western, Central, and Eastern regions.
Whichever PBR competition you end up catching, there's one common thread. You're guaranteed to see some world-class athletes reaching deep inside themselves to tap into the best of their talents and give rodeo lovers an unforgettable experience.
Too loud, but otherwise a super time for the whole family!!! Can't wait to go back the next time they're in Charleston!!
We're fans of PBR. We surprised our 7yo nephew his first time ever & still today asking when can we go again. PBR & The Host & Staff are totally awesome.
Took my 9 year old daughter for a fun night out, and she said it was the best time and wants to go again! The commentator was SO funny! The music was great, kept the crowd engaged. The bull riding was impressive, don't know how they do it! I wouldn't be able to walk for a week afterwards! Would definitely go again!
Flint wasn't as good this year as the years in the past.
Great time.. After party the best with the mechanical bull
Great family day! Food prices were disappointing due to not honoring refillable drinks and popcorn that is done for Blues game at Enterprise center!
So much fun! Would do it again. The place was clean and the seats comfortable.
We try to attend the PBR each year when they come to the area. This event did not disappoint! We saw very talented bull riders, several of which were able to ride for 8 seconds!! Truly amazing! We had great seats to this event - overall 5 stars!!!
Don't buy tickets in section 322 if you want to see the board that shows all the info you need to know about which rider & bull are coming up or what the standings are... The sound system was too loud... It was hard to understand what they were announcing... The PBR puts on a great show though, 5 stars for them... 1 star for my seats & the sound...
This was our first rodeo and we had a blast! The music and the entertainment was amazing and fun! We enjoyed watching the riders and cheering them on. The venue was very clean and organized and had great parking! We will def return!
The event itself was great! Love the PBR and have been to many events. The venue was nice, but the way the sound was set up, and where we were sitting (to the side of the chutes, in balcony section H), we couldn’t understand a word the announcers said nor the bullfighters in the arena. It was just a garbled background noise, which really took away from the experience for my friends, who had never been to a PBR event before. It would have been nice if they could have heard the commentary.
This event was great and a plus: I am Brazilian and it was great to see my fellow Brazilian cowboys. Leme made me so proud!!!!!!
High impact action. Awesome athletes and the Bulls were super powerful and fast. PBR made sure something was entertaining even during tv commercials. Man against Beast was super exciting battle. Venue was full. Great Big Screen for replays and leader board. Would definitely go again and bring the Grand Kids. Children were having tons of fun. 2.5 hours of action was just right.
The show was great but with all the open seats maybe prices should have been lower. We had seats up high at reasonable price but there were so many open seats on lower level.
It was a super fun experience. I definitely would go again.
It was a nice event they only thing that could use improvement was the sound. Where I was sitting I couldn’t here the announcer. Knew they were talking but could make out what they were saying.
Good seats. Fair price. Parking and leaving wasnt awful.
I attend the PBR Velocity Tour ever year it comes and they never disappoint. The Riders are friendly and personable, the bulls are their own characters in itself. If you haven't gone you are definitely missing out.
Overall great experience however, the sound system was less than expected.
Absolutely love going to watch the PBR! The pyrotechnics are absolutely amazing! Great family fun time!!
