PAW Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure on Tour

In the latest live-action adventure spectacle from every kid's favorite cartoon dog squad, Ryder and his crew of ever-resourceful pups must save their bumbling, seafaring friend Cap'n Turbot after he gets lost in a cave ā€” just as Mayor Goodway's Pirate Day festival celebrations are set to begin on Adventure Bay.Ā

En route to the rescue, the team finds a treasure map and sets out to find the booty for Mayor Goodway's event before their dastardly rival Mayor Humdinger (from the nearby town of Foggy Bottom) gets to the goods first. With dog-suited dancing actors bringing the show's beloved canine characters to life before big-screen animated backdrops, The Great Pirate Adventure is an energetic musical revue featuring all the familiar theme music from the show and brand-new songs exclusive to this production. It also features a special appearance from the newest member of the PAW Patrol team, Tracker.

PAW Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure BackgroundĀ

Marshall! Rubble! Chase! Rocky! Zuma! Skye! Many parents know these names as well as those of their own children. They're the tireless cartoon pooches comprising the PAW Patrol, the all-in-one eco-conscious police/fire/construction/aviation/naval team who, along with their trusted preteen ringleader Ryder, maintain peace and order in the picturesque town of Adventure Bay.Ā

Since debuting on Nickelodeon in 2013, the Canadian CGI series has become a staple of preschoolers' TV diets, while its Daytime Emmy-nominated, pop-punk-inspired theme song has become permanently lodged in the brains of parents around the world. (Not that they mind, since the show instills in their kids positive messages about the values of teamwork, nonviolent conflict resolution, and environmental preservation.)Ā

After spawning a toy store's worth of merchandising lines, PAW Patrol made the leap to the stage in 2017 with the internationally touring production Race to the Rescue. That was followed by the sea-themed sequel, The Great Pirate Adventure, that set sail in 2018.

We took our grandchildren to see Paw Patrol for their birthdays. We had great seats and the show was wonderful. The best part, our two grandchildren had a great time.

Fun exciting event, but bright flashing lights

by AH on 2/20/24Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

Paw Patrol Live is an exciting event for all the little ones and adults too. They are engaging and the energy is fantastic. The only complaint I had for this show is that they kept flashing very bright lights onto the crowd. It made the entire event uncomfortable and most of the show was difficult to see. The worst part is that we were sitting in a very dark theater and then all of a sudden had the bright lights in our faces.

    Poor Value

by David Trimner on 2/9/24EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

This was one of the worst entertainment value/cost experiences I have ever had. The audio went out in the first 20 minutes and the rest of the show was incomprehensible. In addition, this is a show with enormous dog costumes basically standing around and dancing from one foot to the other. Boring even for a 4-year old. A majority of the audience left before the event was over, some because of the audio, but more because the children were completely bored. After the excitement of seeing the dogs on stage, there is nothing to keep a toddler engaged. Add in the $15 charge for a cup of lemonade, a box of popcorn, or a bag of cotton candy, and this is very expensive for what you get.

    Paw Patrol Fairfax VA

by Sky on 2/7/24EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

Cute show for toddlers however the audio was awful and they never even tried to fix it. After the intermission I fully expected it to be working as it should but nope. Couldnā€™t hear a thing.

    Cute show

by BC on 2/7/24EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

I took my 4 year old Granddaughter. I did feel the ticket prices bit high for Children. Also, we sat on side and w some of the show having to guess clues it was hard to see all the clues. Would have been nice to have a screen set up for the people on the sides. So if you go, hopefully can sit in middle so you see the whole stage. Luckily, my Granddaughter is 4 and it did not bother her.

    WE Did it!

by NanaLez on 2/7/24EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

Spent a Sunday afternoon with my 3 grandchildren (10, 4, and 3 1/2). Although I had been wanting to go since last year, we were not able to get our tickets until almost last minute...finding (4) seats was a challenge in my price range. I bought tickets that were super agreeable with my budget and, yet, we had a decent view and a little breathing room. The grands did great and had fun...I even got away without buying anything xtra, WHEW! The staff was super friendly as well and so again, 5of5 stars!

    Sound was terrible

by Jill on 2/7/24EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

The show was cute. The sound went out about 15 minutes in the first half. The audio people never got it fixed and it was bad. It sounded like an echo with too much feedback.

    Very Disappointed

by Edwin on 2/7/24EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

Audio went out for a few minutes - and it was never fully resolved. It was also very poor sound to begin with - although tolerable before the audio went out. It was impossible to understand what the actors were saying. For that reason - it was a very disappointing show.

    Fun but had some kinks.

by RuthlessAdams on 2/7/24EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

The show overall was great. However, intermission is decently long for the age group of kids, trying to keep them settled, entertained, and not getting upset for the second half. Also the sound was too low. We could hardly hear the show which added to my kids inability to stay focused (3y & 5y) It was a lot of fun despite the negatives. My 3yr watches their live show all the time on an app and to see it in person for him was absolutely adorable. Loved watching my kids smile and watch their expressions from seeing it.

    Loved it!

by Archie on 2/7/24EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

We gave our son a little-big surprise as we took him to see the #pawpatrollive What a joy to see his face of amazement when the pups came out and not to mention THE CARS!! He was elated. It filled my heart with so much joy - truth be told I was quite elated to be there as well! šŸ„° Shout out to the #eaglebankarena who did a fabulous job hosting 100ā€™s of children by being super friendly, taking pictures for families, and being so kind and helpful throughout the event. It can be stressful to go an event such as this but they made it all the more delightful with their approach. Good job guys!!

Shameless sales pitches to impressionable children

by Shelly on 2/6/24EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

After spending nearly $400 on tickets for 4 of us, we were bombarded with salespeople pushing ridiculously expensive junk food and souvenirs. The sales requirements made it difficult for children to share; for example, each bag of cotton candy came with a plastic Paw Patrol hat ($15), so if you wanted two children to share the candy, only one would get a hat. A woman seated next to us gave us a plastic lighted wand. She had come with her son but was required to buy TWO of these wands; one wasnā€™t allowed to buy just one. My husband and I were very frustrated with the crass merchandising and the way it targets impressionable children.

    Good visuals, terrible audio

by Chris on 2/6/24EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

The visuals of the show are excellent for young kids. The audio quality, however, was terrible. My kids and I could barely follow the dialogue and songs because we couldnā€™t hear. If you are sitting in floor seats the audio was probably fine, but if you arenā€™t in floor seats (we were not), I suggest skipping this show.

Great Show - But Improve Customer Experience

by Stuart on 2/6/24EagleBank Arena - Fairfax

The performance was terrific. The cast was great. High energy, lots of fun. Kids were thrilled. My complaint is with the water situation. The venue rules prohibited outside beverage, and there was no exception for water. When I was buying food, I asked for a cup of water. They said no, I could only buy water (about $7 if I recall correctly.) I found a couple water fountains by the bathrooms - one was broken, the others were hard for my toddler to reach, I had to awkwardly hold them up and push the button while they tried to drink the water. Making money off merchandise, food - that's great! I understand - lots of people make these shows possible and need to get paid! But please allow water from outside, or if not, make it much easier and affordable to drink water.
