About

Paul McCartney has been anything but idle during his post-Beatle years. In 1971 (within one year after the break-up of the Fab Four), McCartney formed the rock band Wings which would go on to produce numerous hit singles and enjoy strong album and ticket sales during the decade of its existence. Wings' most successful and highly acclaimed album, Band on the Run, stayed at the top of the U.S. Charts for four weeks and went triple platinum. Hit songs for the band include "Live and Let Die," "Band on the Run," "Jet," and "Silly Love Songs." McCartney proved, in the '80s, that his popularity with the public was still as strong as ever by embarking on a highly successful solo tour. Memorable collaborative songs were also produced in the '80s--"Say Say Say" and "The Girl is Mine" with Michael Jackson, and "Ebony and Ivory" with Stevie Wonder. In the '90s, he expanded his already impressive musical repertoire by composing two albums of classical works (Standing Stone and Working Classical) recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra and, in the same decade, released an album of ambient, techno music under the pseudonym The Firemen. Other notable albums of his solo career are 1982's Tug of War (recorded with famed Beatles producer George Martin), his 1984 soundtrack for the film Give My Regards to Broad Street (which he also directed), and 1989's Flowers in the Dirt, and 1997's Flaming Pie. McCartney was honored with a Knightship in 1997.

    Fantastico

by Tricie on 6/20/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

Had difficulty with ticket on iPhone but the young lady in charge of our line was most helpful. Being an oldie I’m not too on top of this new technology. It makes me nervous I’m doing something wrong and won’t be able to enter the venue. Once we were in it was heaven. I fell in love with the Beatles when they came to America in 1964. I was 13 yrs old. 57 years ago!!! It’s insane how time flies but one still feels like one did when a teenager. I met my present husband at 18 yrs and ame still married, 47 yrs. All those love songs greatly influenced my life and still do. Love you Paul McCartney!!!

Great crowd. Paul's voice is getting up there in age, but everything else was magical. I would love to see him again. What a show!

by One fine day on 6/20/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

I absolutely loved the concert. Paul stamina is amazing. His demeanor on the stage makes you feel as if you’re sitting in his living room for a visit. His voice still has it. I loved it! Loved it! Loved it! This represented the 13th time I’ve seen Paul McCartney including Shea Stadium 1966. Last thing on my bucket list? To meet Paul McCartney.

    Best Concert Ever

by Audrey in Rome on 6/20/22

Paul was in good voice, great energy, very chatty, and friendly. Paul McCartney has not only written the best songs ever, but he delights in pleasing his audience. He is a generous performer. He looks natural yet 20 years younger than his age. May he live and perform forever!

    Best concert ever!

by Johnny Texas on 6/20/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

I saw McCartney with The Beatles in 1967 in Houston and listened to him my whole life. To see him perform Beatle song and all of his own music 55 years later was a mind blowing event. His stage presence, showman ship, humor, humility and musical talents were first class. Then bringing Bruce Springsteen on for a couple of songs and later Bonjovi for a birthday song was incredible. All 50,000 +/- in the audience seem to know every word to every song. Concerts just don't get better than this!

    3 hours of pure happiness

by JohnV on 6/20/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

The concert was phenomenal. Three hours of pure happiness. The whole crowd singing along... so much fun. The best concert I have ever seen. I had built the concert up so much in my head before, I was worried that it wouldn't live up to my expectations. It more than exceeded them. I'm still feeling the joy of that night.

by Ruthie on 6/20/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

I can't even describe the magic of seeing Paul McCartney in person...he performs non-stop for 3 hours and interacts with the audience....this was our 2nd time seeing him and we absolutely loved it! Then the SURPRISE of Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi going Paul was just unbelievable! A real night to remember!!! Oh, and the performance of "Live and Let Die" is just amazing! LOVED EVERY MINUTE of the concert!

    disappointing

by Anonymous on 6/20/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

This was my 5th time seeing McCartney. I've never left his shows feeling anything but utterly blown away...until now. My biggest issue was the sound (which is the whole reason you go to a concert, isn't it?). I'm not rich, I was in the nosebleeds, but I still paid over $100 per ticket which is a lot for me. So I expected to get my money's worth. But the sound quality was AWFUL. Everything sounded so muted and muffled, except for the occasional 10-15 second bursts where it suddenly sounded clear as day...only to fade away again. There were times where I couldn't hear Paul over the crowd around me. I could hardly hear any guitar solos all night, and when the played The End I heard almost no guitars at all. To be clear, this was a Paul problem, not a MetLife problem. I sat nosebleeds for Springsteen at the same venue years ago and didn't experience any of the same issues. I'm not sure what Paul's sound guys were doing that night, but whatever it was they weren't doing it well. I could say a few other things, but they're minor and wouldn't have really affected my experience so much if they were all I had to talk about. It's really the sound that was the glaring issue. I didn't enjoy this show nearly as much as I'd wished or as much as I should have. I'm glad I went, I had a good time, but for the first time ever Paul didn't blow me away. In fact, he hardly excited me at all.

    Amazing Concert!

by Brooke on 6/20/22MetLife Stadium - East Rutherford

I have loved Paul McCartney since I was a little girl. I’ve seen him perform four times now and he puts on an amazing show! I would’ve actually given the show a 5-star review because he was top notch but these ticket prices are just crazy. Lol Paul is an icon though and so lucky to have been able to see him again! I can’t believe he just turned 80 a few days after the concert!

    Sir Paul still delivers!

by asccarl on 6/20/22Fenway Park - Boston

What a thrilling night to see a living rock legend in Sir Paul McCartney. He officially became my hero rocking out steadily for 2.5 hours singing hits from 5 decades! I hope when I'm 80, I can rock like Paul! He gives us younger baby boomers hope! Yes, Paul's voice has certainly aged but unlike KISS and Rick Springfield, what you hear is what he is singing - and he is still a seriously good vocalist. Live and Let Die is always a show stopper with synchronized pyrotechnics and a sheer pleasure to hear but for me, the pure joy was hearing side two of Abbey Road. Paul's tribute to George was heartwarming but the duet with John via technology was my favorite moment perhaps of the whole night. I would have been happy to hear less of the newer material and more of the old but that is quibbling since the music was a joyful playlist of different eras of my life. Who knows how long Paul will choose to tour but this was a master entertainer giving us his best. Thank you Paul!
