About

Patton Oswalt continues to leave his distinctive imprint across all areas of entertainment, from his award-winning comedy specials to his many guest roles on television. His most recent comedy special We All Scream (which also marked his directorial debut) launched on Netflix last September and Oswalt was recently nominated for a Grammy for his comedy album. Last year, he starred in the Magnolia Pictures comedy I Love My Dad, winner of the Grand Jury and Audience awards at the 2022 SXSW Film Festival.

Oswalt was nominated for a Critics Choice Award for his performance in Jason Reitman's film Young Adult, starring opposite Charlize Theron. In 2009, he also received critical acclaim for his performance in Robert Siegel's Big Fan; the film was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award and Oswalt earned a Gotham Award nomination for his performance.

Oswalt has appeared in many films, including The Circle, alongside Tom Hanks, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Zoolander, both directed by Ben Stiller, Steven Soderbergh's The Informant with Matt Damon, and alongside Seth Rogen in Jody Hill's Observe and Report, as well as Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia and Todd Phillips' Starsky and Hutch.

Oswalt's past television work includes memorable roles on Parks and Recreation, which brought him a TV Critics Choice Award, A.P. Bio, Veep, United States of Tara, Seinfeld (his TV acting debut), and many more. He is also very well known for playing 'Spence' on The King of Queens for nine seasons. Oswalt is also the narrator on ABC's hit comedy The Goldbergs.  He provided the voice for 'Remy' the rat in Pixar's Oscar® winner Ratatouille, and his other voice credits include 'Max' in The Secret Life of Pets 2, Sorry To Bother You, the SYFY series Happy!, Rick and Morty, Archer, and BoJack Horseman.

In 2020, Oswalt's Emmy nominated Netflix special I Love Everything was widely applauded upon release, and he received a Grammy nomination for his comedy album of the same name. In 2017, he received Grammy and Emmy nominations for his album and Netflix special Annihilation, which addresses his own devastating loss and dealing with the unexplainable, while making it all painfully funny.  In 2016, he won the Emmy for 'Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special' for his sixth comedy special Talking for Clapping and a Grammy Award in 2017 for his comedy album. He has been nominated for a total of six Grammys and four Emmys. Oswalt has shot eight TV specials and released seven critically acclaimed albums -- in 2009, Patton received his first Grammy nomination for his album My Weakness Is Strong.

  • Never Disappoints

by DSmith on 1/31/25The Charleston Music Hall - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Have seen Patton several times both in Seattle (Finest Hour, which was recorded) and in Charleston. He never disappoints! He seems to genuinely enjoy performing, and the audience responds in kind. You leave feeling like you could enjoy a drink with him. I’ll keep attending as long as I have the proximity, admission price, and mobility to do so!

  • Hilarious!

He made me laugh so much, my face was actually hurting.

  • Needed A Laugh, Patton Delivered

by Lion on 1/28/25The Charleston Music Hall - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Patton did a tight comedy set that had the crowd in stitches. Just his mannerisms are funny. He kept it largely politically neutral, with many fun observations about raising a teenage daughter. Also enjoyed the bit where he interacted with the front row audience.

Excellent set. We had a great time, laughed until we cried.

  • Blink and you will miss Patton

    by Teo24 on 11/22/24Stifel Theatre - Saint LouisRating: 1 out of 5

Patton’s set seemed much too short. It was pretty disappointing. Wouldn’t pay to see him live again. The host and local comedian were the highlights of the night.

  • Great set, good venue

by Bowz on 11/21/24The Astro Theater - La VistaRating: 5 out of 5

The opening comic was OK. If she was being honest of background she is from the region so may be getting a shot from a nationally known talent. She did have us laughing a lot. Oswalt was as funny, eclectic and interesting as I expected. After seeing him on talk shows and on this tour I think he would be a great 'hang'. He had some good interaction with the audience and demonstrated his quick wit during the back and forth. This is a new venue and it was interesting to see it. I think it is well setup with good seating. Looking forward to seeing more acts here.

  • Great venue, not a great show

by Max on 11/19/24The Astro Theater - La VistaRating: 2 out of 5

Awesome venue, very comfy and clean. The crowd was not full, but lots of people showed up to have a good time. The opener was not very funny. Lots of Midwest humor but it just didn't hit with the crowd. While everyone was excited to see Patton, he was a bit low energy. He did a lot of crowd work, which was just boring at times. I think he was just a in a low mood, and it was really hard for him to tap into being funny. He just seemed exhausted. Maybe this tour is not the best time to see him.

Patton Oswalt is hilarious. I have followed him for years. The venue was great, no bad seating.

  • Funny guy

by Lemon Tree on 11/18/24Stifel Theatre - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Patton Oswalt was part of the Fly Over Tour with Tig Navarro. Both were funny, but I thought Patton was funnier. Tig focused on things her twin sons had said and done and also married life. Patton focused on difference between various religions' ceremonies and also the behavior of his 15-year old daughter and then skills he needed to master to live a happy life.

  • Funny

by Jules on 11/18/24Stifel Theatre - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Gig and Patton were hilarious. They did not focus on politics thank you and it felt so good to just laugh. Kari and Rafe were funny as well. My only complaint would be the time went too fast and I wish each set was longer. Would see them all again!

  • Wonderful

by OrPitView on 11/18/24Stifel Theatre - Saint LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Patton was incredible. He was able to enter the stage with jokes about the reason for the long pause in the show during the previous comedian. It really made it feel like he was integrated into the show, not just sitting backstage waiting to be called. I thought his show was fantastic and I'd go see him again. Five stars.

  • Disappointed

by MN girl on 11/18/24Stifel Theatre - Saint LouisRating: 3 out of 5

Love both comedians, very disappointed how early the show ended and how long they did their stand up. For what we paid and the amount of time, very disappointed. Even with a stop in the performance, still disappointed.

  • One of my favorite comedy shows

by Kyra on 8/30/24Cobb's Comedy Club - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

My boyfriend is a big comedy fan so I’ve been to a few comedy shows but I think Patton has been one of my favorites we’ve seen.

  • Great spot

by Trixie on 8/8/24Cobb's Comedy Club - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

Excellent show perfect seats. Paid for premium seats so we were only a single row away from the stage. Service is usually prompt for your 2 drink minimum. Great time had openers were also a hoot.

  • Patton at Cobb's

by Canyoncarver on 8/6/24Cobb's Comedy Club - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Patton was on point as usual with great bits. His knowledge of the bay area is intimate and he brought a lot of it into his crowd work which was great.

  • Laughed SO HARD

by JayB on 8/5/24Cobb's Comedy Club - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Trying not to spoil anything, but the "old movies"section was so very funny. His crowd work was also hysterical! It really made me want to be in the front row.

  • Best Patton Show!

Lyric theatre was nice. Patton was ok. Not a lot of belly laughs. I give him 3.5/5 stars.
