I've been wanting to see Patrice Rushen for quite some time and was thrilled to hear she would be coming to Detroit. The opening act, Yancey, did a great job! I've seen him a couple of times and he never disappoints. The band with Patrice was great too. The only thing that disappointed me a bit was that she only performed 3 of her own songs. I really wanted to hear her hits and she only sang 3 of them...that is why I gave her 4 out of 5 stars.

by owsh on 7/16/16Chene Park - DetroitPatrice Rushen is a remarkable talent and just a sweet, lovely person. One of the best keyboardists ever. Her band is sensational, particularly the saxophonist. More jazz tunes here with Patrice singing only a couple of songs. So, would have liked to have heard more of her R&B hits. But, she does absolutely terrific versions of "Remind Me" and "Forget Me Nots," both of which made the price of admission more than worth it. She is a little dynamo.
