Patrice Rushen was outstanding! It was a great show.
Outstanding seeing Patrice live for the first time! She looked and sounded wonderful. It brought back wonderful memories of the 70âs and 80âs!!
The show from beginning to end was awesome! I've been wanting to see Patrice Rushen for quite some time and was thrilled to hear she would be coming to Detroit. The opening act, Yancey, did a great job! I've seen him a couple of times and he never disappoints. The band with Patrice was great too. The only thing that disappointed me a bit was that she only performed 3 of her own songs. I really wanted to hear her hits and she only sang 3 of them...that is why I gave her 4 out of 5 stars.
Patrice Rushen is a remarkable talent and just a sweet, lovely person. One of the best keyboardists ever. Her band is sensational, particularly the saxophonist. More jazz tunes here with Patrice singing only a couple of songs. So, would have liked to have heard more of her R&B hits. But, she does absolutely terrific versions of "Remind Me" and "Forget Me Nots," both of which made the price of admission more than worth it. She is a little dynamo.
