About

Pantera is a heavy metal band formed in Arlington, Texas in 1981 by brothers Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell, and is currently composed of vocalist Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, and touring musicians Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante. After a number of buzzy releases throughout the 1980s, the band dropped their breakout album, Cowboys From Hell, in 1990, which established Pantera as leaders in the groove metal genre. The first group to land an extreme metal album at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with their 1994 album Far Beyond Driven, Pantera were hailed as torchbearers of the genre, paving the way for a long and successful reign that included two subsequent albums and four Grammy nominations. The pioneering band has sold over 20 million albums over the course of their career and are credited as a musical inspiration by many acts in the metal space. Pantera entered a hiatus in 2001, and shortly thereafter, founding member Dimebag Darrell was killed onstage in 2004. A new era began when surviving members Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown returned to the road in 2023 for their first tour as Pantera in over 20 years. Now, the band is set to embark on a 2025 outing, titled Pantera’s The Heaviest Tour of the Summer.

  • Pantera was amazing

    by Grunt65 on 8/8/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I was a little worried about how good they would be in 2023. I saw them in ‘94 in their prime and they were unbelievable then. I must say they put on a hell of a show. Phil seems to be in a very good place mentally. Z Wylde and Charlie B are big time musicians who fit in well with the Pantera vibe. I had a great time at this show. This is my second time seeing Lamb of God (was fortunate enough to see them with Slayer). They are the top dog in the metal world right now. Unbelievable energy from Randy and co. Hershey staff and facility were great-overall super fun night for me.

  • Show awesome smart tickets suck

by David on 8/8/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing, sound was great. Although parking was bad, I am a disabled veteran with prosthetic device on my right leg, there was handicap parking but was at the Giant Center had to walk a decent distance to the stadium and back when show was over, was painful. Your smart tickets suck, one took awhile to get it to scan after four different readers and my ticket would not scan at all. Showed my receipt and the eventually let me in, the line was backing up, people getting angry and there were a lot of others having issues with the smart tickets as well, great concept bad execution, need rethink PDCA cycle, “Plan, Do, Check, Act”

  • Pantera Hershey Pa

Vip section meet N greet. One of the greatest experiences in my life. The early access to vendors and front row was awesome.

  • Great time! 27 years in between shows

by Burno on 8/8/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I saw Pantera and White Zombie in Aug 1996. Nearly 30 years later it was amazing to hear those songs again live. Phil obviously is taking this seriously. He sounds amazing. It will never be the same with Vinnie and Dime, but Charlie nailed the sound and Zak is the closest to Dime that we will ever get. It was so fun. The openers were great (Lamb of God and Child Bite) and if you love these songs .... GO!

  • Pantera

Awesome show that me and my sons will never forget

  • Great band! Venue not so great!

by Baby Sasquatch on 8/8/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Lamb of God and Pantera brought it! Excellent show. The venue decided to break up the field area to maximize revenue. Who sits in a chair up front at a LOG or Pantera concert?

Pantera and Lamb of God was an awesome metal show…perfect weather, good venue and great music w friends

  • Cowboys from Hell!

    by Mike D. on 8/8/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Killer show, my only complaint would be that I wish Pantera played a little longer, they could have gone to 11pm and it was pretty much done by 10:40.. But otherwise Pantera dnd Lamb of God were excellent! Even Child Bite were entertaining even if they weren't my cup of tea. I actually got the best parking space ever getting the first parking space right outside the VIP entrance which I had a Lamb of God VIP ticket so entering and leaving were the best!

  • Pantera - Hershey, PA

by Joelle on 8/8/23Rating: 5 out of 5

What a phenomenal show! They blew me away. I was always so sad that I didn’t get to see them in the ‘90s but this made up for it!!!

  • 🤘 ROCKED!!

Awesome, Awesome show! Lamb of God could easily headline they were terrific! Anselmo was sober and in shape and sounds fantastic! Enjoyed every second! Go see this show!

  • A+ Event

by Snake Plissken on 8/8/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I did not get to see Pantera in their prime and was skeptical that this would be more of a "cover band."First of all, they absolutely killed it. Zakk just shreds the entire show, Phil sounds great, Rex was top notch, and Charlie killed it. It really was an incredible show and I'm glad I was able to see this historic show! I think Vinnie and Dimebag would be proud.

  • Terrible venue

by JJ on 8/8/23Rating: 3 out of 5

The bands themselves were amazing. But, I would never see a concert at this venue again. Parking was literally almost two miles away from tue stadium itself. And the general admission area was very hard to see the bands at. Very disappointing.

  • A once in a life time show

by Willy on 8/8/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I never thought in my lifetime Pantera would ever rise up and tour again but i was wrong. The experience was mind blowing. All four guys are still as badass as they were 30 years ago. Charlie and Zakk are doing a fantastic job filling the roles of Vinny & Dime. I will try to see them again next year if i can.

  • Everything we wanted.

by Amicucci on 8/8/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Are you kidding! They were better than ever! Now I see why the reviews were so good. Holy cow actually. GO.
