About

Pantera is a heavy metal band formed in Arlington, Texas in 1981 by brothers Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell, and is currently composed of vocalist Phil Anselmo, bassist Rex Brown, and touring musicians Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante. After a number of buzzy releases throughout the 1980s, the band dropped their breakout album, Cowboys From Hell, in 1990, which established Pantera as leaders in the groove metal genre. The first group to land an extreme metal album at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with their 1994 album Far Beyond Driven, Pantera were hailed as torchbearers of the genre, paving the way for a long and successful reign that included two subsequent albums and four Grammy nominations. The pioneering band has sold over 20 million albums over the course of their career and are credited as a musical inspiration by many acts in the metal space. Pantera entered a hiatus in 2001, and shortly thereafter, founding member Dimebag Darrell was killed onstage in 2004. A new era began when surviving members Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown returned to the road in 2023 for their first tour as Pantera in over 20 years. Now, the band is set to embark on a 2025 outing, titled Pantera’s The Heaviest Tour of the Summer.

Pantera was great, Im not into King Parrot or Amon. I wish they had craft beer or bigger selection. I stayed at the Pioneer Hotel for $157 in Royal Palm Beach which is within Walking Distance to iTHINK Amphitheatre.

It was great meet the band and moshing with the crowd, great way to spiritually honor Dimebag and Vinnie ; the heart and soul of Pantera.

  • Freaking Amazing!

I go to every rock concert and am the first to get tickets. For some reason, I didn't get tickets to this show until a few weeks prior. I think it was because the absence of Dime even though I love Zack. Anyways, they delivered far and beyond my expectations.

  • Pantera Amon Amarth

First time for both bands. Easy access parking and leaving. Finding seats was easy as well. Great sound

  • Excellent show! Poor VIP experience

by Megumi on 9/17/25iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre - West Palm BeachRating: 4 out of 5

While we had a great time, this may be our last show at the iThink Financial Amphitheater in West Palm Beach for a long time. I purchased 2 VIP Meet & Greet Experiences for Pantera. This purchase unfortunately didn’t include parking which was an additional $20 prepaid. At iThink they email you weeks in advance to “buy parking”, “your ticket does not include parking”, “warning, buy parking before price increases”. So I went ahead and pre-purchased parking. VIP check in started at 4:15. We arrived at the venue at 3:45. However we got delayed by 10 minutes due to parking staff being held up by those who hadn’t pre-purchased. There really should be a separate line for prepaid parking. While I’m grateful for the VIP meet & greet experience, I feel it could have been more streamlined for guests who had to wait in line in the Florida sun and heat for almost 45 minutes. After check in, we were corralled like cattle only to be brought to another line in the sun then to the official line off to the side of the venue. The meet and greet was about 5min. Just shaking hands and a photo. So quick. We felt the only thing that made it worth it was we got to go straight to the pit front row before doors opened. King Parrot, Amon Amarth and Pantera put on an absolutely killer show and gave it all they got for their last stop. We will never forget this experience, however, iThink and Live Nation is really bringing the nickel and diming to a new level. Sorry but we won’t be back.

  • Excellent

by Lu on 9/16/25iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre - West Palm BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Pantera never disappoints. Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante did an excellent job. They can never replace Darrel or Vinnie Paul but they did and excellent tribute to their memory.
