PAM TILLIS IN CONCERT:
Grammy-winning country singer-songwriter Pam Tillis is Nashville born and bred, and her heritage is on full display at her live shows. Tillis boasts an impressive pedigree – her father is famed country singer Mel Tillis, and her boot-stomping performances, exuding plenty of downhome pride and tradition, are the next best thing to a trip to Music City. Taking the stage with an acoustic guitar, Tillis wrings every last drop of emotion from finely crafted cuts like "Maybe It Was Memphis" and "Shake the Sugar Tree." Meanwhile her band whips up a high-energy mix of slide guitar, violin, bass, and drums that perfectly complements her relaxed vocals and unhurried delivery. It's a no-frills country party any time Pam Tillis performs, and ticket buyers are never disappointed by her arresting voice and feel-good stage presence.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Growing up the daughter of a country star, Pam Tillis was immersed in the Nashville music scene from the get-go. She made her singing debut at the Grand Ole Opry at age 8, and by her teens she was writing songs and playing the piano and guitar. She cut her teeth in the early '70s penning tunes for artists like Gloria Gaynor and Chaka Khan, and in 1981 she signed to Warner Bros. Records. Her 1983 debut album didn't make much of an impact, but she found chart success mid-decade with a string of non-album singles including "Those Memories of You" and "There Goes My Love." She signed to Arista Nashville in 1989, kicking off a successful period that included the Top 10 albums Put Yourself in My Place (1991) and Sweetheart's Dance (1994), the latter of which contained her first No. 1 single "Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life)." Since then she's remained prolific, touring extensively and impressing fans with albums like 2013's Dos Divas, a celebrated collection of duets recorded with Lorrie Morgan.
Powerful performances by two of the best . Very impressed with pricing and value,
Concert was a casual setting with lots of explaination of songs and jokes. Very entertaining. Liked how they both sang each others songs.
The ladies and band were very good. The clowns in the sky box were very noisy and rude.
The performance was fabulous. Unfortunately, I received very poor service in the Casino from a waitress and the assistant food and beverage manager was not very helpful to me when I attempted to resolved the matter. I will gladly see them again, just never at this establishment.
THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL EVENING OF PLEASURE AND TOTAL ENJOYMENT. YOUR DUOS AND SINGLES WERE FANTASTIC AND YOU BOTH BROUGHT BACK FOND MEMORIES OF SONGS OF THE PAST. LOVED LORRIE'S - JESUS, JOSEPH AND MARY (SO TOUCHING). I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A FAN OF BOTH OF YOU AND THIS WAS ICING ON THE CAKE....A REAL TREAT.
Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan were both excellent. Their voices were wonderful and natural. If you are a fan, they are a must see.
One of the best concerts for the money that we have attended in a long time! Voices are strong as ever, beautiful as ever. Their comraderie was so natural one felt that were sitting in the living room with friends who would tell a story and break into song! have already recommended to others.
I thought they put on a good show,Song choices was good! I wish they would have got up and moved around some for the people sitting off to the side. I didnt think our seats was good . We could only see Pam since thats the side we were sitting on and would have like to have been able to see Lorrie too! You would think when you purchase tickets you would get better seats then people that get them for free, But thats NOT how it works. We have friends that got free tickets and their seats were alot better than ours
Its hard to hear the old traditional music these days. The concert was extremely well managed and we enjoyed very much. The two artists coming out to meet and greet the audience afterwards was a great plus. Would definitely attend again and recommend to my friends.
The concert was GREAT!!!! The seats were not so great. The seats in the room are not elevated so, as I am short and it seems there is always a tall person that sits in front of me! The next time I go there for a concert I will sit in the balcony.
VERY GOOD SHOW, WOULD GO AGAIN. NOT A BAD SEAT IN THE HOUSE
I stood for almost an hour watching Lorrie and Pam sign autographs after the show. Standing at the front of the line, Pam graciously accepted my autograph request, even though Security said I had to go to the back of the line. Lorrie seemed to get more attention from the fans, which left Pam alone a lot. Pam is so, so worthy of any and all of the attention she can get! What a talented and attractive lady! Lorrie up close signing autographs is graciously, a classy lady and extremely attractive!
My daughter and I really enjoyed ourselves. We would recommend it to everyone.
I would pay the price required to see Pam and/or Lorrie again closer.
Very good show. They were really a delight to watch.
The the 7 pm concert didn't start until 7:15 and was over at 8:00 pm. Not what I expected at all. If I had known it was only a one hour concert, I would not have wasted my money. My husband and I both decided that we would not do this kind of entertainment again.
We had seen Lorrie Morgan a short time ago at another theater, and we enjoyed it very much. This was different, it was great to see two Top Stars enjoying each other so much, we need more of this.
Lumiere was the perfect setting-large enough, yet small enough to be an intimate setting. Lorrie and Pam together were amazing. Their voices blended so well together. Them singing together and singing each other's songs together was more than what I expected. I would love to see them put out an album together. I loved their choice of songs from each one's career, the fact that each played the guitar and backed each other up. I hope they come back to St. Louis soon.
We love Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan. It was disappointing to find out the they both were on stage together for a total of 1 hour. Both singers have had several great hits. We wish that Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan would have sang for an hour each. They both have several great songs that we didn't get to hear. Lorrie Morgan sang more songs when I saw her 20 years ago.
Pam and Lorrie were very friendly and personable. My husband and I really enjoyed their performance. We just wished it lasted longer!! Lorrie didn't sing my favorite song, "What part of NO don't you understand?". Even though she said we could request songs, there really was no time when we could do that. I REALLY enjoyed sitting on the second row and getting to be so up close and personal with them. (Their eye glitter really stood out!!) They are both great singers. Enjoyed the pathos in the songs.
