Orville Peck on Tour
Mysterious cowboy rocker Orville Peck and his band perform a theatrical version of vintage country music: Sequins, fringe, big hats and the singer's trademark masks, which obscure his face both on stage and off. It's no staid night at the saloon - his backing players are Toronto post-punk band the Frigs, and Peck performs his nocturnal, road-worn songs with bravado. After touring alongside indie-folkers Lord Huron in the beginning of 2019, Peck set off for months of headlining shows in America, Canada and Europe. His festival bookings include Austin City Limits, London's Visions Festival, Washington's Thing, North Carolina's Hopscotch, Nashville's AmericanaFest, Norway's Oya, Sweden's Way Out West, Texas' Trans-Pecos, Pitchfork Paris and Iceland Airwaves.
Orville Peck in Concert
Who is that masked man? Enigmatic troubadour and outlaw country sensation Orville Peck emerged in 2017, a Canadian cowboy who's part rodeo, part Twin Peaks. Though he prefers to keep his identity a riddle - photographed and performing exclusively in one of his fringed masks - Peck has admitted he's played in punk bands in the past, and was a fan of Johnny Cash, X and Neil Young. Released in 2017, his debut single "Dead of Night" was a twilight pick-up truck drive through 1950s twang, '90s dream pop and contemporary indie rock. He promptly signed to esteemed independent label Sub Pop, which released his 12-song debut album, Pony, in 2019. Painting himself as "psychedelic outlaw cowboy" who "croons love and loss from the badlands of North America," Peck sings deeply personal stories and songs under haunting, nostalgic reverb. His debut made an impact thanks to its gauzy textures, vivid storytelling and queer narratives that subvert country masculinity. It made such a splash that Pony ended up on the long list for the Polaris Prize less than two months after its release.

This was my first time seeing Orville Live and he has gained a fan in me. He was absolutely wonderful. The venue needed improvement though. It was way too hot in there. My husband left the venue before Orville even started cause he wasn't feeling well due to the heat. Also, I didn't know the venue had removed all the seats on the bottom floor so expected to be sitting during this performance. I can't stand for long periods of time. They need to be more clear that the general admission tickets on the floor are standing room only when selling tickets! Had I known, I would have purchased balcony tickets. Also, I know that building pretty well as I used to go there weekly. I know they have an elevator and people weren't being allowed to use it. Also, the drink prices were way overpriced... $4 for a bottle of water? That's ridiculous!
The show was so phenomenal. The band that opened the shoe Teddy and the Rough Riders where great. Orville Peck was just simply amazing. He put on one hell of a show and made everyone feel welcomed at the show.
Orville got to perform his first show in Vegas and he absolutely blew the roof off the place! I loved his energy when he performed live, and every song hit so much harder in person. He was so interactive with the crowd and made it such a personal experience. After the show has ended the crowd couldn't stop cheering. He and his band came out for one last song, and hit us with an amazing song from one of his earlier shows. It was a beautiful night, I wish I could relive it!
Orville Peck is an amazing showman and this was an great concert to see!!! I think if you ask anyone that saw this show they will agree that it was an amazing experience! Orville's energy and vocals are a sight to behold! The playlist was perfect - mainly new stuff from Bronco, a couple from Pony and a couple extras. He knew just when to bring it down a bit and play a show song on the piano and then just when to bring it back and play some more upbeat rocking songs! He also had the perfect mix of talking between songs - enough to be informative and appreciative but without rambling! Precious Orville is amazing but his band certainly deserves a shout-out as well! They were all great musicians and brought great energy to the show! I apologize if this review seems too obsequious but I highly recommend catching this show if it's near you! I flew out from Denver just for this show and it completely restored my faith in concert-going! Thank you Orville for such a great show!!
Orville knows how to put on a show! Excellent performance.
Everything was absolutely amazing - the opening act was fun - Orville and his band brought the house down - great interaction with the audience - a legend is born - if I could go to every single stop on the tour, I would - not overstating -
Orville was amazing. So engaging with the crowd. Sounds exactly the same live as he does on his CD. Amazing concert!!!
The show itself was AMAZING. Orville is an incredible performer. However, the venue was jame packed with people, which made it hard to enjoy the concert. Way too many tickets sold for the space available
Honestly, I go to a lot of concerts. At least once per month. Orville Peck just made my top 5 list of best shows ever. Incredible voice, great stage presence, Charisma. I really felt like I was watching Elvis Presley in his prime. 9.8/10 Can't miss show.
Wonderful experience! everyone dressed up, crowd was very lively, and the music was great to hear from anywhere in the room. I would see Orville Peck again
Orville Peck is so talented, great song writer, playing several instruments and great voice. It was an awesome, engaging show
Great great show! Amazing music! His songs sound so good live and I can’t wait to see him again!
By deftly intermixing new music familiar covers, it made for an almost nostalgic experience with a queer bent... Was simply amazing performance wise, content wise, and showmanship wise.
His band sounds even better live and to me thats a rarity.I cannot wait for a new album and another tour to be able to see him again!
For the Artists: I am really happy that I got to cross seeing Orville off my bucket list! I was also pleasantly surprised to have added a new artist to my liked songs because Dale Hollow had the best stage presence! I wish I could've gone multiple times! For State Sheater: I had the best experience visiting this theater going to see Orville Peck. The doors opened when they said they would, the check-in process was quick you can tell the staff is awesome. Plenty of opportunities to grab beer, didn't have to stand in too many lines at all. Usually I'm a ball of anxiety but it felt really awesome to just hang in the back, drink a few beers and feel more like I'm at a bar with live music than a concert. This was just a really fun time
No cdc card check or i.d. check at door which surprised me. Sound was way too loud drum and bass actually vibrated your chest.
Orville Peck put on one heck of a hoedown! Absolutely amazing.
It was worth seeing both Dale and Orville live!!! They're awesome in person!!!
Orville Peck and his band are the best thing to happen to country music since Outlaw country. Amazing performance in an outstanding venue. Crowd was super cool.
