Orville Peck on Tour
Mysterious cowboy rocker Orville Peck and his band perform a theatrical version of vintage country music: Sequins, fringe, big hats and the singer's trademark masks, which obscure his face both on stage and off. It's no staid night at the saloon - his backing players are Toronto post-punk band the Frigs, and Peck performs his nocturnal, road-worn songs with bravado. After touring alongside indie-folkers Lord Huron in the beginning of 2019, Peck set off for months of headlining shows in America, Canada and Europe. His festival bookings include Austin City Limits, London's Visions Festival, Washington's Thing, North Carolina's Hopscotch, Nashville's AmericanaFest, Norway's Oya, Sweden's Way Out West, Texas' Trans-Pecos, Pitchfork Paris and Iceland Airwaves.
Orville Peck in Concert
Who is that masked man? Enigmatic troubadour and outlaw country sensation Orville Peck emerged in 2017, a Canadian cowboy who's part rodeo, part Twin Peaks. Though he prefers to keep his identity a riddle - photographed and performing exclusively in one of his fringed masks - Peck has admitted he's played in punk bands in the past, and was a fan of Johnny Cash, X and Neil Young. Released in 2017, his debut single "Dead of Night" was a twilight pick-up truck drive through 1950s twang, '90s dream pop and contemporary indie rock. He promptly signed to esteemed independent label Sub Pop, which released his 12-song debut album, Pony, in 2019. Painting himself as "psychedelic outlaw cowboy" who "croons love and loss from the badlands of North America," Peck sings deeply personal stories and songs under haunting, nostalgic reverb. His debut made an impact thanks to its gauzy textures, vivid storytelling and queer narratives that subvert country masculinity. It made such a splash that Pony ended up on the long list for the Polaris Prize less than two months after its release.

I flew to NYC to see him. Always entertaining! Love Orville!
Seen him before in NYC, and yes he was great. This time the sound person needed to be better at his trade. Couldn’t understand what he was singing, the sound was washing him out. So sad!!!
Orville’s show in Philly at the Met was so enjoyable, inspiring and memorable. I think he is truly a special performer and would see him again
Orville was engaging and electrifying!!! Don't miss the opportunity to see his live show!!!
I had no idea what to expect going to this show- I know two Orville Peck songs from the radio. It's an understatement to say that my daughter and I were blown away by the show- both the opener (Nikki Lane) and Orville Peck. Both were strong of voice and humor. The venue was beautiful and the crowd was highly engaged making the whole experience a 10 (I go to a lot of shows, a total epic experience is rare). I love to get a full show experience, music, humor, cool lighting, great sound and a party vibe and that is exactly what I got!
Orville Texas was an amazing performer and put on a great show. Unfortunately, the parking situation was a different story. It was overpriced and the parking attendant and police weren’t fully paying attention which almost cost two different accidents because people were just pulling out and driving about any direction
I’ve been to my fair share of concerts and I’ve never experienced anything as mesmerizing as Orville Peck. The energy was high. We sang, we danced, we cried. We were riled up, awed, and romanced. What more can you ask? Orville Peck has gone from outlaw to gay superhero. A true legend. I can’t wait to see him again!
The title tells the story. Loved the venue and would come here anytime to see a concert. The lounge? How does one describe the worst dining and drinking experience of his life? Literally, the worst. $25 cocktails with bottom shelf ingredients? Check. Cold fries? Check. Burgers that make McDonalds look gourmet? Check. And $25 each! Our first time here and we wondered why the lounge was so empty and why no one was eating. Now we know. A truly nauseating experience. Do yourself a favor: skip the lounge, enjoy one of the many great restaurants or bars in the neighborhood, then come here and enjoy the show.
Orville peck, amazing, fantastic. The indignity and suffering we all must go through to see our faves as prescribed by the overlords at Ticketmaster- ew. Ticketmaster should dissolve itself and all the CEOs choke on a glizzy.
I think everyone knows how great Orville Peck is, and I loved the concert, but I wanted to comment on the MGM Fenway Concert Hall itself. It was my first time there and I was impressed at the sight lines, the sound system, the ease of navigating the building AND by the really courteous and friendly staff. It was really welcoming. Congratulations!
He's a great performer-very talented. I really like the venue
Travelled from the U.K. to see Orville Peck at Boston MGM Music Hall. Orville was amazing, his voice enthralls you as he sings all the songs you love. His personality shines though and seeing him sing live was such a fabulous experience. If I was a fan before, I am now a super fan and can’t wait to see him live again.
I waited a long time for the chance to see Orville Peck, and he was worth the wait. My first time at the venue and it was as good as I’d heard.
This was my first time seeing Orville Peck after choosing to not go to one of the many music festivals he appears at. I wanted to just see his show and I was very excited. Overall the show was enjoyable, but not exactly what I was hoping for. The two opening acts went ok for almost 2 hours. I had taken the train up from Providence so the commute back was a concern. Because Orville didn’t go on until 9, I had to leave in the middle of his show to catch the train back. The opening acts were good, but I wish he had gone on earlier. I noticed a few other fans leaving at the same time and we all ended up waiting for the train together.
This gem of a venue offers good views from just about anywhere, as long as you’re not vertically challenged. At 5’10, with my boots on, I had no problem. Would be great to have at least one large screen showing the stage up close. Short drink lines and friendly staff. Orville Peck put on a heck Of a show! What’s not to love?
Amazing, talented musician with a great band. All his songs are from the heart. I definitely will pay to see this performance again. Orville Peck’s voice is amazing, like a 3-way cross between Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, & Elvis.
Truly a very talented artist. Fantastic show. Second time to see him and didn't think it was possible, but was even better than the first concert.
I am a true country-western fan. Myself and my spouse are retired semi-pro riders (Spouse is a World Champion.) We continue to attend many rodeo events, RFTM, PBR, etc. as well as many country-western music events/shows. Taking this into consideration, we love Orville Peck and his show did not disappoint. His voice was every bit as good live as it is on his recordings! That said, there are few "elephants"in the room that should be noted: 1.) The Bill Graham Civic in SF was "beneath"him. His show, voice and band were deserving of a more flattering venue. The venue was a sweatbox, the acoustics not the best but... the entire staff was amazing! 2.) While I am more fond of his earlier music, it was slightly disappointing he did not play more from the new Stampede album. Perhaps this is the consequence of making a duet album? He was in SF after all so least he could have done was play Midnight Ride with Kylie behind him on video (works for Keith Urban and Brad Paisley!) 3.) His music is more "folk"or "pop folk"than country which is not a bad thing. I just think Orville's schtick is very clever marketing to which I applaud! The "cowboy"image, mask, western references in lyrics, etc. all very sexy and alluring (thanks to his amazing voice) but IT AIN'T KUNTRY YA'LL!
After suffering two hours of warm up acts Orville Peck took the stage at 9:00 pm. We were already burnt out and when he started out the sound was terrible. I couldn’t hear his voice and words over the extremely loud base. We didn’t come to hear the base player. We were so uncomfortable and disappointed that we left after five or six songs.
It was the most amazing experience! I flew from Mississippi and met my daughter who now lives in Reno for the concert. We had VIP tickets, which allowed us time to see and talk with Orville early that afternoon. He called us out from stage during Daytona Sand, which is a flex I will be bringing up often! We will never forget our special night in San Francisco! Thank you Orville!! We love you!
