What an excellent experience for music students to sing with strangers under the skilled, experienced conductors. I am sure it is the highlight of the year for most of them. Unfortunately the first groups to perform had to wait a long time for the parents or responsible person to get them. It would have been a learning experience for them if they could have watched the next groups perform on closed circuit screen while they were waiting. The building needs more restrooms on each level. It is a disgrace to the University to have a nice building and very poor accommodations for partly handicap people.

This was a very organized event. I did not care for all the flair that went on at the start of the event. I went to see our kids perform and not to give awards to people. Each group of kids could have sang one or more songs instead of listening to someone talk.
OPUS was fantastic!
by Granr on 11/20/10STEPHENS AUDITORIUM - AmesRating: 5 out of 5This event is about to require a larger venue. It was sold out practically as soon as the tickets went on sale. Very talented 6th-9th graders and very well prepared.
