About

On Your Feet! on Tour

Get ready for one of Broadway's most colorful jukebox musicals with On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan. The production is based on the husband-and-wife team who brought Latin pop to the world in the '80s. Together, they've collected dozens of Grammy Awards for their irresistible, Cuban-infused pop, and it's their iconic hits — including "Get on Your Feet," "Conga," "1-2-3" and "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You" — that fuel this high-energy show. In between the sizzling dance moves and big pop numbers (brought to life with an onstage band), the cast takes us through the Estefans' powerful love story and inspiring rise to international fame. Emilio and Gloria themselves played a large role in the making of the musical's story and music, of course. Alongside the '80s megahits they made as Miami Sound Machine, the musical showcases several of Gloria's most poignant ballads, plus the original song "If I Never Got to Tell You" with lyrics by Gloria and music by her daughter Emily Estefan.

The story begins with a young Gloria in the Little Havana neighborhood of Miami. She meets Emilio Estefan, a member of the Miami Latin Boys (eventually the Miami Sound Machine). As the two grow close — as artists and lovers — tension grows between her and her mother as she tries to juggle time caring for her father who's been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. All the while, Gloria and Emilio push to have their music heard. By Act II, the duo have officially made it. They're churning out hits and traveling the world, until Gloria breaks her back in a near-fatal accident — then rises through adversity to perform again.

On Your Feet! premiered on Broadway in 2015 and is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots) with choreography by Sergio Trujillo (Jersey Boys) and a book by Academy Award–winning screenwriter Alexander Dinelaris. Since then, the musical has gone international and toured throughout the US and UK.

    Great show!

by Ted on 4/6/24Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - Bloomington

I'm not a hard core Gloria Estefan fan but I remember it from my younger days. This show was well done and filled in any details about her rise to fame for anyone with a little less knowledge of her background. The actors and actresses were amazing.

    Fantastic!!!

by Nancy Van on 3/5/24Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - Milwaukee

BEST MUSICAL OF THE SEASON including the Broadway Season in Milwaukee this year. Totally professional, glitzy, great staging and absolutely fantastic singers and songs !!! Too bad it was only in town for one night. Should have been touring with Broadway. It was “non-equity” but it should NOT have kept “equity snobs” away. SENSATIONAL !

    Great show!

by Marie O on 3/5/24Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - Milwaukee

The performers were fantastic! Strong singing voices including the younger cast members. This is a brief story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan. Cuban immigrants trying to make a living doing what they love. There was a lull in the story line when she got hurt and many people started to leave thinking it was the end of the play. At first I thought it was sad way to end but then the cast came out singing a bit of all the hits and it was "Wow". Really got me moving and dancing. Also, the band was great and played for a bit after the cast left the stage and people were leaving. Best line in the play; Emilio telling his promoter, "this is the face of an American!"Brought a tear to this Cuban refugee who has lived in the US all my life. We must remember this country is made up of people from all nations.

What an amazing show. We’ve followed Gloria from when she first hit the scene. This was an amazing depiction of her journey to get there. We learned behind the scenes stories of her struggles to get there, while enjoying her great music and dancing. I highly recommend this show.

    What fun!

by KW on 3/5/24Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - Milwaukee

All the hits combined with fantastic dancing and good laughs to make for a fun evening with my mom. Not the highest tech or most visually stunning set, but it was Havana in the 1960s.

    Fun, Uplifting and Emotional

by SAL on 3/5/24Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - Milwaukee

I am a great fan of Gloria Estefan's music and so it was wonderful to hear so many of her songs engaged in the plot of the show. The music and dancing were amazing. It wasn't just a singing and dancing show as it did have a plot to follow which is the story of her life which was interesting and also evoked emotion at times with some of the hardships she endured. I simply loved it and was amazed that this show isn't well advertised as it is very good for the price.

We loved every minute of this amazing show. The music and dancing were fantastic! I’m still singing the songs 3 days later. Too bad more people haven’t heard about it. I would definitely see again.

    Well worth the ticket price

by Elaine on 2/20/24The Avalon Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

Storyline was good. Personally, I would have liked more Miami Sound Machine music and less drama. Stars of the show were professional and very talented. Perhaps cut it down to 2 hrs instead of 2 & 1/2
