    Dynamic!!

by kimsuesmith33 on 4/17/23Jo Long Theatre - San Antonio

Oleta Adams was great! She was engaging, entertaining, and sounded great. Her band members were also great. I would definitely go see her again. I didn't know a lot of her songs, but that didn't matter at all. Her voice and delivery made everything wonderful.

    WOW!

by Jeanine on 10/21/22Birchmere - Alexandria

Seeing Oleta Adams live was on my "bucket list" and Wow--did she deliver! I was/am a huge Tears for Fears fan and Oleta fan but only had the Circle of One album--that will change! Oleta's voice is as good as ever--not to mention, she made the concert intimate and powerful. By the end of the concert my heart was full and I was crying uncontrollably (in a good way). She played Everything Must Change and I am complete. Thank you for a magical evening!

Highlight of a needed respite and trip to DC.

by CS in Houston on 10/19/22Birchmere - Alexandria

Finally got to see, after more than 25 years, one of my all time favorite voices and personalities - Oleta Adams! She was fabulous at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA. Easily picked up my tickets at the "will call window" and found great seats in the hall. Coupled with our visit to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, this made this getaway one of our best 4-day trips ever. We'll be back to DC, the Birchmere and the NMAAHc very soon.

    Excellent performance and venue

by NitaB on 10/19/22Birchmere - Alexandria

First timer at the Birchmere. The venue has excellent acoustics and the show started promptly at 7:30. Oleta’s vocals and piano performances were mesmerizing! Got to give a shoutout to the band as well, especially James on base guitar. I am a forever fan!

    Oleta Adams...that pleases me

    by Will on 9/28/22

Saw Oleta Adams at the Keswick Theater. Ms Adams and her band (which included her husband) had a smooth sounding set. Hee voice was on point, favorite numbers were the upbeat "Circle Of One" and bluesy "Do I Move You?" (guitar solo was fitting with the song). Truly entertained. The answer better be...yesssss

    Best concert ever

    by Ken on 2/11/20Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

I doubted I would ever return to Northern Lights Theatre after the terrible experience I had there before at the India Arie concert. But this time we had front row seats and did not get inconvenienced or distracted by the waitresses walking around during the show. Oleta Adams gave an excellent concert. Her voice was amazing and the mellow music just soothed you as you enjoyed the concert. I would definitely see her again if she returns to town.

    Excellent Performance

by EDH on 11/7/19Birchmere - Alexandria

We became fans of Oleta Adams 38 years ago in Kansas City, Missouri, at the Signboard Lounge, Crown Center. She was so amazing that we drove to KC several times to enjoy her music. My husband was stationed an hour and a half away at Whiteman AFB. When we saw her on the Birchmere schedule, we were so excited. Her performance was way beyond our expectations! Better than ever at 66. So glad we saw her.

    Great show

by Sunshine on 11/6/19Birchmere - Alexandria

Oleta Adams performed many songs during her 2 hour set. She played the piano beautifully, and then for a portion came from behind the piano and sang, as the band went acoustic (except for the bass); this too was quite lovely. They also did a little instrumental sorta funky jazz. Overall it was a five star performance. It was my very first time seeing Oleta Adams, & I would definitely see her perform again. Bravo!

    Oleta Adams, Soul Legend !!

by Katd15 on 11/22/17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

This was a bucket list trip from Scotland to BB Kings Speakeasy NYC to see Oleta Adams perform, a very big deal as I had waited since early 80's to have the privilege. I never uttered a sound throughout. A voice that has the power to induce an emotional reaction like no other, a voice with such depth and colour every song is truly unique !!. NEVER have I heard a voice like Oleta Adams , She sang and played piano effortlessly and her band - including her husband on drums John Cushon - played an unbelievably accomplished set ( in awe Mr Cushon ) . She played a varied set list from all her albums. A beautiful soul , she gave us all a little piece of wisdom on the true meaning of love. With a sharp intake of breath from the crowd when she revealed she is now 65 yrs old...Ms Adams showed a quick sense of humour, and remarked ...."black don't crack" The only blot on the gig was the big voice from the little new yorker when she heard the opening bars of 'Get Here' ....shouted " that's my karaoke song" !!!. At the very least bad mannered and not concert etiquette! The name Oleta Adams and karaoke should never be in the same sentence !!! Next stop Holland !
