OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW

RETURN TO AUSTRALIA IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

PERFORMING “BLONDE ON BLONDE”

WITH SPECIAL GUEST VALERIE JUNE

Acclaimed Statesiders OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW will return to Australia for the first time in eight years to play a string of East Coast dates this September and October, in addition to their already-announced performance at the Caloundra Music Festival. On their Australian shows, Old Crow Medicine Show will pay tribute to their music icon, Bob Dylan, by playing his seminal 1966 album, Blonde On Blonde, in full.

Hailing from the Birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Memphian and fellow Tennessean VALERIE JUNE, who has shared the stage with the likes of Sharon Jones, Sturgill Simpson, Jake Bugg and more, will join Old Crow Medicine Show on their Australian run, rounding out an authentic ‘Taste of Americana’ double-bill for local audiences.

Old Crow Medicine Show and the beguiling Valerie June promise to deliver a night of authentic Tennessee tunes when they touch down in Australia later this year, traversing country, blues, roots and more, with a little bit of soul and gospel thrown in for good measure.

Of the shows we have gone too, this show is in the top 2.

  • flawed venue great show

by nhiker on 7/19/10Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton BeachRating: 4 out of 5

This was a very mixed generational audience and the band was outstanding! It is always a joy to watch a band who really takes joy in their craft. Also the Audience loved them this was as fired up as an crowd as I have ever seen. The only complaint I had were the acoustics in the Casino made it difficult to enjoy the music. It was a duel between crowd noise and music. The House trys to compensate by increasing the volume and the sound basically flattens out. That said great show.

  • OCMS was awesome!

Awesome band, awesome venue! Good sound, you should have more concerts there, Asylum Street Spankers comes to mine, they have a good area following.

I already knew old crow was going to be amazing. When you add the old south feel of moonlight gardens with a sold out crowd having a great time you are assured an amazing time.

by CreeksideGardens on 7/9/10Moonlite Gardens at Coney Island - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

We saw a great show at a great venue. We brought out 12 and 14 year old sons, and they had a great time! Old Crow has so much energy and is so much fun to watch! They are one of those bands you just have to see live to really appreciate their talent. I'd see them again tomorrow!

  • Old Crow Tore it Down

The Venue Was Small and outside, Not a lot of room to move, but the Show was sold out, so what can you say. The Sound was Good and the Band Africkingmazing, 4th time i've seen them, 2 set show with a 20 minute break about 9:30 p.m. then tore it down till about 11:00, Besides the Girl Standing by a Freind of Mine a good time was had by all.

  • Great night

by jbjb2211 on 7/9/10Moonlite Gardens at Coney Island - CincinnatiRating: 4 out of 5

This is the second time I've seen OCMS and once again their live performances are awesome, so much better than their CD's. I was concerned the venue would be too packed for a good time, especially when it was humid as it can be yet there was plenty of room and plenty of angles to see the stage.

OCMS always puts on a great show but this one was the best that Ive seen. Great, small venue and an amazing setlist. Loved "Fall on my Knees".

  • 1st timer

by doghouse25 on 7/9/10Moonlite Gardens at Coney Island - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 1st show and i was glad to see them in a smaller setting. I just started listening to them about two months ago, and now i am hooked. I especially enjoyed listening in the company of a red headed philly, it was a first time for her as well. We should both see them again, together of course. Great time.

Concert was great!!! Matt Anderson was so good and a great opener--definitely gotta keep an eye out for that guy! And of course, OCMS was so awesome--those boys can play! Wish they'd make their way to Montana for a concert!

  • Amazing, high-energy show

by TeenBean on 5/3/10House of Blues New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

Band and music were awesome. First time seeing the band and plan to return whenever possible. Crowd was rowdy (in a good way) and super high-energy. A floor-stomping good time. =)

The A Capella encore of Blue Moon and when they all picked up electric instruments were amazing. Volume could have been louder over all. Great show, would definitely go back!
