OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW

RETURN TO AUSTRALIA IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER

PERFORMING “BLONDE ON BLONDE”

WITH SPECIAL GUEST VALERIE JUNE

Acclaimed Statesiders OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW will return to Australia for the first time in eight years to play a string of East Coast dates this September and October, in addition to their already-announced performance at the Caloundra Music Festival. On their Australian shows, Old Crow Medicine Show will pay tribute to their music icon, Bob Dylan, by playing his seminal 1966 album, Blonde On Blonde, in full.

Hailing from the Birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Memphian and fellow Tennessean VALERIE JUNE, who has shared the stage with the likes of Sharon Jones, Sturgill Simpson, Jake Bugg and more, will join Old Crow Medicine Show on their Australian run, rounding out an authentic ‘Taste of Americana’ double-bill for local audiences.

Old Crow Medicine Show and the beguiling Valerie June promise to deliver a night of authentic Tennessee tunes when they touch down in Australia later this year, traversing country, blues, roots and more, with a little bit of soul and gospel thrown in for good measure.

Great show. They are all real entertainers. Warm up act was mediocre.

These guys were fantastic. High energy, great music. Just a good time all around. Go see them!

  • High Energy

by Rx2GW on 6/3/22Austin City Limits Live at The Moody Theater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! OCMS was an amazing good time played the classics, new songs and a few covers. Highly recommend going to see these guys! Opener Molly Tuttle has a wonderful voice is a hell of a guitar picker.

  • Disappointed

by SMOKE FAN! on 5/13/22Ting Pavilion - CharlottesvilleRating: 3 out of 5

The sound at the pavilion was less than optimal. We were up close and had a very hard time hearing them - as crazy as that sounds. The new drummer is a hoot and we enjoyed his energy!!

  • Too much show

by Kim on 5/12/22State Theatre - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

Almost a completely new lineup, which I guess I should’ve known beforehand but I didn’t. Manic, too fast - the band needed to slow down and talk to the audience. Couldn’t understand most of what they said or sang. And the State Theater always plays too loud. Was fun to see OCMS, but not the band I remember. Not sure I’d see them again.

  • Too loud

by JD on 5/10/22State Theatre - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

The venue it’s just small and they play to loud so you can’t hear the words.

  • Over the top energy

    by Wendy D on 5/10/22State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Old Crow Medicine Show is an extremely talented band. Each member plays multiple instruments. These guys played for 2 hours and the energy level kept going up. Molly Tuttle was also excellent!!! She is truly a phenom crosspicker.

  • What an amazing show!

by Jimmy Hoffa on 5/10/22State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Old Crow always brings it and it's amazing from start to finish! Molly Tuttle opened and she kicks ass!

They were excellent, as expected. Every minute was enjoyable and so much fun!

  • Nashville Comes to Maine!

    by T. A. on 5/10/22State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Molly Tuttle is an awesome guitarist, and had a great voice. Then Old Crow came bounding out onstage and continued to amaze the audience throughout the show. Their enjoyment in their music was evident and their stage presence was phenomenal. The show did not disappoint.

  • About as good as it gets!

by Mel on 5/10/22State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Old Crow puts on the best live show you could ask for! High energy, everyone in the band can play every instrument on the stage as well as sing lead, and they are constantly mixing it up. Molly Tuttle is brilliant and a perfect complement to their music. The band’s current line-up adds a different flavor to some of the older songs, which keeps everything fresh. Many thumbs up for this show!!! ( also, great venue- General Admission for this show, lots of standing room up front, plenty of seating for those who prefer it. )

  • Outstanding

by Bill on 5/10/22State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

The opener was Molly Hunter. Amazing guitarist. Vocals too loud. OCMS opened after short technical intermission. Unbelievable energy. All six band members handled multiple instruments to enhance all of the songs. Had the whole concert rocking. When Molly joined the band for the final set, it even moved the music to a higher level. The 7 meshed like they had been born together.

  • Molly Tuttle was great

    by Paul K on 5/10/22State Theatre - PortlandRating: 4 out of 5

Opener Molly Tuttle was the primary draw for me going to the show and she is a great both with lyrics and tunes, an impressive guitarist with that claw-hammer style. Old Crow was good in that they played the faves but for much of the performance I kept thinking "when you don't have good lyrics, play fast and loud and spin around the stage."

  • Wonderful!!!

by Jo on 5/2/22Ting Pavilion - CharlottesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was wonderful! Old Crow Medicine show put on a great set, they were interactive, and had a great time on stage. The music was upbeat and entertaining, and the Outdoor Pavilion venue was a great way to kick off summer!

  • Amazing Show

    by K. G. on 5/2/22Ting Pavilion - CharlottesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Both the opening act and Old Crow Medicine Show were amazing. I wouldn't even consider myself a fan of this music before going, but I am now! Great time!

  • Great Show

  • Great evening.... absolutely enjoyed it!

  • Good, Not Great Night In Charlottesville

    by Charlie P. on 5/1/22Ting Pavilion - CharlottesvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Good night, good crowd. Gangstagrass opened. An unexpectedly delightful show by superb musicians seamlessly mashing up two genres that, while both were birthed from the black experience, were seemingly incompatible. Only drawback? I am familiar with them and producer Rench from the first hit “Long Hard Times To Come” from the FX series “Justified”. BUT THEY DIDN’T EVEN PLAY IT!!! My third experience with O.C.M.S. Always delightful, powerful, predominately local, talented and sometimes exhausting. Superb talent and generally good song choices. My only complaint here, as a native Charlottesvillain (sic), is we get played as fools by musicians now. Due to our appearance on the national stage that has gone from a debate on our local history to an invasion by self serving, hypocritical carpetbaggers that ripped our community apart and painted us as systemically evil, we are pandered to by not just the Joe Bidens and Donald Trumps but now every musician has to up woke each other to think they feel our pain. You never will. And you outsiders are the ones that created the horror and death, so, if you want to help us heal, take your soppy assed tributes and shove ‘em. We don’t want lectures, we want to “Drift Away” - Day after day I'm more confused Yet I look for the light through the pourin' rain You know that's a game that I hate to lose And I'm feelin' the strain, ain't it a shame? Oh, give me the beat, boys, and free my soul I wanna get lost in your rock 'n' roll and drift away Period…

  • The weed Show

by Batman on 5/1/22Ting Pavilion - CharlottesvilleRating: 1 out of 5

Gangstagrass was great. However the old crow weed show sucked. During the whole event all i dealt with was the smell of weed. Which was not allowed in the ting pavilion. But nobody there seemed to care. The gangstagrsss show was well worth the money. The old crow weed show really was a waste of my time. Thanks
