About half the comedians were very funny and half were just meh. Any Schumer was supposed to be there (she was in the lineup when we bought the tickets), but she was hosting SNL that week so she didn't show. It did say the lineup wasn't guaranteed, but it was still a disappointment.
Wished Amy Schumer was there. TJ Miller and John Mulvaney were ridiculously funny. Didn't like Aziz's new material.
Don't get me wrong, the rest of the comedians were fantastic. Props to them. Some better than others. But come on, the main headliner wasn't there and that's kind of crap.
I've gone two years in a row. Each time has been amazing. The comedians have always brought their "A"-game. It was unfortunate that Amy Schumer had to cancel at the last second due to hosting SNL, but it was a fantastic show regardless. I hope she comes next year. Don't buy the lawn seats (Your butt WILL fall asleep and you won't be able to see as well). Get yourself some good seats and enjoy the show.
very disappointed that Amy Schummer did not appear. Was on bill and was advertised. Ansari was average. disappointed compared to what he has done before. bad night for him. Sebastian and John before him were awesome. Jeselnik repeated same set we saw at Kaaboo just weeks before. same market in weeks use different material. sad. And only woman in set really made her self look bad. embarrassed for her.
Bummed that Amy Schumer didn't make an appearance at the Chula Vista show. And it was kind odd how crazy they were about looking at your phone before the show even started.
Great time, amazing comics and unforgettable laughs! Even though Amy was a no-show last minute, the other comedians killed it and my friends and i still had a wonderful night!
Aziz is funny...seen him before and it was different material. John Mulaney was hilarious (best one!!), Bridget Everet had her own brand. It was a diverse group. Jeff Ross emceed and did a fine job. It was just such a bummer because I bought my tickets in February for this October show so I could see Amy Schumer along with Aziz Ansari and as headliners and she wasn't there. No one in my group knew that she wouldn't be there since she had been recently tapped to host SNL the next night. It ended up being a lot of money to not have Amy Schumer there....so all in all funny show and would have been 5 stars with her there.
I enjoyed most of the performers who showed up, were great. John Mulaney, TJ Miller, Aziz Anzari were hilarious. I thought it was pretty disappointing that Amy Shumer is too big to show up to her own shows now. Very rude. Other than that, the pace of the evening was good, not a lot of lag time. I love the Sleep Train venue, it was neat to see comedians there.
The show was great!! The sound/echo was not good for a comedy venue, very hard to understand. This venue needs to fix this before I would ever go to an event again.
The opening acts were hit or miss, but Nick Kroll, Amy Schumer, and Aziz Ansari were INCREDIBLE! I laughed so hard that my face hurt :-P The venue had great food and drinks, as well!
Tickets stated 5:00 PM- Left work early to get there and gates did not open til 6:15 PM !! Once I was inside, a small sandwich board stated there were comedians over at a small tent set up separate from the main event stage from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. I did not bother going over to the small tent. The main stage event did not start until 8:50 PM. This is ridiculous. The comedians SUCKED--AMY SCHUMER was AWFUL--NOT FUNNY. No joke Amy simply plugged her upcoming appearance on SNL and complained s Florida is too hot. AZIZ was also NOT FUNNY--I left during his show- Jim Gaffigan does a much better bit on bacon- I truly felt ripped off and I want my money back seriously.
The tickets said that the show started at 5:00pm, but it was "Doors Open" at 5:00pm. So then no show actaully started until 7:00pm, and then the headliners didn't come out till about 9:30. But over all, a funny show, and Amy Schumer and Aziz Ansari are worth a long wait, but I wish I would have known it was going to be ALL Evening.
Flew to Atlanta from Chicago to see this show as my son is a big Tim Minchin fan who by the way reaaly rocked! We have not laughed that much in a long time! Just a fun Great time!
The show started two hours late. Amy Schumer was on stage for less than 30 mins.
overall the show was AWESOME!!! only complaint i had was the sound system here sucked for the type of venue...if you were close to the stage or up on the grass you were good but anyhere in the middle you kind of had to strain your ears to hear...a few of the comedians didnt hold the mic to their mouths and thought it best to hold it near their damn stomachs BUT i fault the venue for not having an ample sound system...having said that i caught most of the show and you will not be wasting your money...enjoy!!!
For one, the venue, while clean, was just too large for comedy. Secondly, not letting anyone know when the headline show was going to start really sucked. It was very confusing that a secondary stage with the non-headliners was tucked away in the back corner of the facility and we had to ask security what the actual deal was. We waited more than three hours from our arrival till the show really started. When it did, we were tired sweaty and hungry and not really in a frame of mind to laugh. The talent ranged from okay to good but with the size of the venue and short time allotted for each performer, too much was missing (i.e. Tim Minchin could have used much more time to develop his rapport w/audience). Shame cause he is great. BTW don't buy an aisle seat for a show of this length. A constant stream of thirsty middle seaters had me doing more exercise than I normally do in a week!

I really enjoyed the majority of comedians at this festival, but there were a couple that took "comedy" to an extreme. Bridget Everett is a "comedienne" and I use that term loosely, who does nothing but expose herself, sing about sex and thrusts her crotch in audience members faces. Not my idea of comedy. Tim Mitchell wasn't as bad but I'm not a fan of the musical comedians, and he's no different. He wasn't offensive, just boring and a bit hypocritical. The rest of the group was amazing and I had a really good time overall. Hopefully we'll be able to go again next year.
GREAT comedians, laughed through the entire night, what a great line up! LOVED Aziz and Amy, almost seemed like their acts were synced up! Loved Sebastian and Tony and Tim! Even though we were sitting in a drizzle the whole evening, we could not have had a better time!
