  • Not worth it.... a little disapointing

    by Bryan318 on 10/21/15Gexa Energy Pavilion - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

When you pay a $130 per ticket and see Amy Schumer rehash the same jokes that she shared on the Jimmy Fallon show is a little disappointing. Her routine was stale for sure if you follow her somewhat regularly. I thought Anthony Jeselnick was by far the best and Aziz was pretty good as well. Bridget Everett was funny, but also a little disturbing. TJ Miller is not funny at all and was absolutely terrible....not sure how this guy is considered a comic. Overall, if I had paid less then $50 per ticket then OK, but anything more is not worth it.

  • So much funny!

by Fostermomma on 10/21/15Gexa Energy Pavilion - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

Aziz and Amy were outstanding, as were most of the other main stage acts. Bridget Everett should never have been there. If a man did similar things to what she was doing, he would have been arrested. I found her not at all funny and think most people were only laughing because they were so uncomfortable. The festival stage acts, particularly the host, were largely atrocious, relying on making people uncomfortable or being a bully for laughs. Josh Johnson from Ft. Worth was great, though. The others on the festival stage I could have lived a long time without seeing and never missed them.

  • Whatever/whoever you love is great to see

    by K3g3 on 10/21/15Gexa Energy Pavilion - DallasRating: 3 out of 5

The show is no doubt amazing. The $13 for a 10 year old 24oz beer that's $8 at best for a six-pack, from a can that's lost it's alcohol content is why this venue deserves an average rating.

  • Hilarious performers, Gexa is an awful venue

by Leticya on 10/21/15Gexa Energy Pavilion - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The show was fantastic. Every comedian was hilarious with several standouts. We laughed the entire time. Gexa is a terrible venue. The lines are long for everything, food, drinks, bathrooms. It was impossible to get anything to eat or drink during intermission because of this.

  • Laughed till I wet my pants

by BelieveMeToo on 10/21/15Gexa Energy Pavilion - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The variety of acts was amazing. Each one bringing a different slant on comedy. Will look for the new and upcoming comedians in other venues in the future. Will plan to attend every Oddball Comedy Fest in the future forever and ever.

  • Oddball Comedy Fest Austin

by Anonymous on 10/21/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 4 out of 5

The first segment of comics were painfully bad. Jeff Ross was the highlight. Bridget Everett was a great start to the second segment and the rest of the evening was great. many folks left after Amy Shumer.

  • Aziz killed it!

  • missed half of show :(

by mobot6 on 10/20/15The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - WoodlandsRating: 4 out of 5

Although I like Cynthia Wood Pavilion as a venue, its location is horrible. It is a nightmare to get to and most show start during rush hour so if you do not live in the area you WILL be late. As for the show it went well. My only advice is to NEVER watch any specials or clips of the comedians so the material you hear at the show will be new and the show will be more enjoyable. My only complaint is the comedians' view of Texas. When a person comes to a comedy show the content or style a comedian uses is usually understood and liked by the audience. Unfortunately, Texas and the stereotypes about Texans is used to "lecture" the audience. The comedian usually "preaches to the choir" which sucks. The audience came to your show because we like you and share most of your (the comedian) views on life. Spending anytime cursing your audience for stereotypes is a waste. It is one thing when you use the audience as part of your set but targeting and cursing the audience is an undeserved punishment. I would allot 10-15 minutes of any headliners set to be aimed at shaming Texas and Texans then they will move on to the funny.

  • Great Comedy, Horrible Music

by Teenbop on 10/20/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 4 out of 5

I loved the comedians (well most of them) but the worst part was DJ Trauma. He was the DJ last year and was also pretty bad. Wanting people to get up and dance at a comedy show is just dumb. He also only played 20 seconds of each song and kept stopping them abruptly so he could talk. Find someone else to do the music, like Reggie Watts. Also the Venue has terribly long lines for food and drinks. Aziz and Amy were great.

  • Great Show

Great Show. Didn't expect o be at the event, so it was even better seeing it live.

  • Great show!

by AnnieBdogg on 10/20/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

It was an awesome night of comedy but my favorites were Nick Thune, Jak Knight, Bridget Everett, and of course Amy Schumer. I had not heard of any of the rest besides Amy, Aziz, TJ, and Jeff before the show and thought that Jak who they said was new to the show did an awesome job and Bridget I will look up on-line to see more of her for sure, not that she didn't show enough at the show!

  • Rolling in the aisle

by QuicKick on 10/20/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

The show was excellent. Jeff Ross kept the show moving along and did some great bits making fun of the audience. There was some raunchy segments but everyone is an adult.

  • Awesome

by ccchouston on 10/19/15The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - WoodlandsRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best ways to see all of your favorite comics. Pay the extra for seats over lawn if you can to avoid drunk hecklers.

  • so funny!!! loved it!

The show was great! Very entertaining. Good variety.

  • Awesome show

by Beowulf123 on 10/19/15The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - WoodlandsRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. All the comedians were excellent, except one, and even that person was still funny, just not laugh out loud like the others.

  • Oddball Fest is Outstanding

by Nat13 on 10/19/15The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - WoodlandsRating: 4 out of 5

Lots of Comedy Acts to make everyone laugh, it was Excellent, and Aziz Ansari and Amy Schumer were Awesomely hilarious! =D

  • JEFF ROSS KILLED IT

by gsparky on 10/19/15Sleeptrain Amphitheatre - Chula VistaRating: 3 out of 5

Amy Schumer canceled with almost no notice to ticketholders. She was the main headliner everyone wanted to see. Jeff Ross opened the show with the most laughs...he was pretty funny. TJ miller also had a strong set. Most of the other comedians had been funnier on T. V then they were in this big arena. You would think they would do their strongest material. I think the $160 ticket cost was high for this event. If I had not paid half price for 5th row seats I would of been really disappointed.

We had a great time at the festival, great line up. Our favorite was Aziz and would go see him again. Amy Schumer was great and kept us laughing. Would Recomend this Festival for a great time, but no kids!! Language is typical of comedy shows.
