  • Not so funny

by Tooling on 9/13/16Nikon at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 1 out of 5

When I go to see comedy I want to laugh out loud. None of the comics before intermission were funny. Bridgett was disgusting and I actually would never want to see her. again. She has a following but that was too big a show for someone like her. Sebastian Manascalco was the absolute funniest. Laugh out loud great humor. John Oliver, who I came to see was a major disappointment. He was not prepared for Long Island.

  • Sebastian Maniscalco is the man

by Ditalini on 9/13/16Nikon at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 4 out of 5

Jeffrey Ross was an awesome host! John Oliver sux!

  • All but John Oliver!

by Tobayb on 9/13/16Nikon at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 4 out of 5

Laughing until I cry under the stars in Nikon's beautiful arena is my kind of event...and the Oddball Comedy Tour made all of this possible! Only disappointment was John Oliver! He didn't read the crowd, slept-walked through his routine, and got redundant with his political barbs (we don't need comedians to repeat the jokes we hear on a daily basis from everyone else this 2016 presidential election year.). Sebastian Maniscalco, however, was worth the price of admission!!! I'm already doing a search for his next event!

  • No fast lane?

by Eskae on 9/13/16Nikon at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 4 out of 5

The place and experience was great. However, I would have given the venue 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that they didn't have proper sIgnage and no "fast lane" was established. So I ended up paying 10 extra bucks for nothing!

  • Mixed bag

by mikenbacismama on 9/13/16Nikon at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 3 out of 5

Went primarily for Sebastian Maniscalco...he was hysterical as usual. Loved the roast master, Jeff Ross. Also enjoyed Tom Segura and Pete Davidson. The others were meh. But Bridget Everett was a total hot mess, I wasn't offended by her crude sense of humor...I just didn't get the point of it. And we walked out basically once John Oliver opened his mouth - if I wanted to hear someone bash all things American, I could just put on the news and look for Obama.

  • I was misled

by Comedylover111333 on 9/13/16Nikon at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 1 out of 5

I was told that the show starts at 5:15 and when I arrived it actually started at 7:05 they just wanted us to spend money on the venues outside that really upset me

  • show was just ok

by Wan2laugh on 9/13/16Nikon at Jones Beach Theater - WantaghRating: 2 out of 5

Two comedians were really good, others were either fair or bad

  • Comedy show

    by Aaron2244 on 9/12/16Xfinity Center - MansfieldRating: 3 out of 5

The show was funny. The ushers detracted from the experience constantly aggressively yelling at patrons for looking at their phone. They had a strict no recording policy but noone that was yelled at in our vicinity were using the phones for this purpose. I went last year ane saw Amy Schumer and Aziz Ansari at the same venue and did not encounter this problem.

  • Just ok...

    by Btrust108 on 9/12/16Xfinity Center - MansfieldRating: 2 out of 5

Jeff Ross ducked out with no explanation. John and Sebastian were good, but the show just didn't really feel organized. Also, plenty of people taking videos of the show that in a weird way distracted from the event (mostly because the security kept just talking the same group to put the phones away, but didn't do much else).

The lineup was terrible, especially compared to last years lineup, and you can tell by the lack of tickets sold. I won't be going next year if the B lineup is out there again

  • Super fun time

by Stewsteve on 9/11/16Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - Chicago, IL - Tinley ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Never been to a show before this, and it definitely blew my doors off everyone was awesome and hilarious and it was an amazing time

  • Totally disgusting show.

by Squirt1984 on 9/11/16PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 1 out of 5

First of all the tickets said that the show started at 5:15pm. We arrived at 5pm and although we were let into the venue, we were not allowed to go sit in our seats until after 6pm. Keep in mind that the temperature was about 90 degrees that day. We finally were able to sit down in our seats but the show did not begin until 7pm. There were five comedians(if you can call them that) in the first portion of the show. Since it was a mixed crowd of and alot of the crowd were senior citizens I found the caliber of the performances highly offensive and not humorous at all. The first half ended with Bridgett Everett. I don't even know what you would call her other than totally disgusting. We were totally appalled by her and did not find any humor in her performance at all. We had four young men sitting next to us that really didn't know what to make of her and did not find any humor in her. Then it was intermission. Thankfully when the show came back they put on Sebastian Maniscalco who was the main reason why I purchased the tickets. He was on only for about 20 minutes. The next comedian went on but after having to endure the 1st half of show we decided to leave. It looked like a substantial part of the crowd had the same feelings we did and left as well. I will never again purchase tickets for a comedy festival again. It just seemed that the comedians were being vulgar and disgusting just for the sake of being vulgar. Many of us found no humor in them at all.

  • Oddball Comedy Fest was so-so

by Luca2 on 9/11/16PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 3 out of 5

Many of the comedians, especially in pre-show, relied on shock value and cringe rather than comedy for laughs. Sebastian Maniscalco was by far the funniest of the night.

  • Sebastian made the event

by Mugsy7208 on 9/11/16PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 3 out of 5

Some of the openers were awful. Sebastian made the event!!! He's awesome !!

  • by Anonymous on 9/11/16PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 2 out of 5

The night was disappointing but Sebastian Maniscalco was great and so was Tracy Morgan. My husband and I would not purchase tickets again for this show.

  • Last Year Was Much Better

by ElephantsToothpaste on 9/11/16PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 1 out of 5

The festival was okay this year. For what you paid, the line-up, the time of performances, etc, it just seemed not worth the money. I enjoyed Tom Segura, Jeff Ross, Pete Davidson, and Colin Jost, but they are all budget friendly comedians and only went on for 20 to 30 minutes a piece or less. I found the acts around to be kind of like open mic night at a comedy club. People testing material when its a big paid event. Not the place to do that. I have a lot of respect for Tracy Morgan, but he was a buzzkill to the ambiance. He was preaching about his coma, etc, and while I feel bad for him, the venue should be about comedy, not preaching about life. It literally says comedy festival in the title. Jim Jeffries has a weird humor, but he got perverted so it got the people next to me to leave which wasn't bad either. The sound was very muffled sitting under the awning because the speaker system is out of date at PNC. I have been to enough venues, 15 concerts so far this year alone, that I wouldn't go back to PNC anymore. Its nice for cheap local tickets when you're bored, but I prefer paying for quality music and when I drop hundreds on tickets, I want an experience. Security was distracting. The people next to me, and older couple, kept using their phone, so security had to constantly come up to them so I couldn't hear Sebastian when I was as close as I was. Very distracting. Also, the people talked through every joke, but security did nothing about that. Concessions were also ridiculous. I took my mom to the show to see Sebastian. I bought her wine, whiskey on the rocks for me. It was a struggle for them to switch glasses so she ended up with an undersized plastic cup, and an oversized one for me because of how they do inventory. I spend $60 on 4 drinks and I can't even get it in the right cup. For the money and disappointments, its not worth PNC anymore.

  • Great Show

by Horsetoothjackass on 9/11/16PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great. I never heard of Tom Segura, but next to Sebastian, he stole the show. Super funny guy. I also loved Pete Davidson from SNL. Great comedian. The only thing I would warn for people new to this show like I was, is that the ticket said doors open at 5 and the show starts at 5:15. The show didn't start until 7, so we were there a long time.

  • Great show, awful crowd..

by Chrisg87 on 9/11/16PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 4 out of 5

The comics were fantastic and totally worth going to see, the crowd however was terrible. All the crowd cared about was hearing Italian jokes from Sebastian and then left without having the respect to watch the other people perform. Too many uptight people in the crowd who clearly don't know what comedy shows are about.

  • PNC Oddball Comedy Fest

by LennyFromNJ on 9/11/16PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 2 out of 5

I was once referred to a restaurant by a friend who told me that the steaks were huge. He loved the restaurant. My wife and I visited the restaurant for dinner for the first time a few weeks later. The steaks were certainly large portions but the meat on both of our plates were tough. Some people mix up value by thinking that quantity and quality are interchangeable. The show was terrible. There were a few comedians that were great but their time was limited due to the many other comedians (?) who were on the bill. Maniscalco was probably the best one as was evidenced by his receiving the only the standing ovation. Interestingly, after Maniscalco exited the stage, fully 1/3 of the arena emptied. Morgan was a waste of time and Jeffries is not a Don Rickles. We waited for Jeffries to get into his groove but he never reached it. The show was very long, too long. I would have paid the same price for only 3 comedians and have the show end in 90-120 minutes.

  • Sebastian Maniscalco!

by LoriB2012 on 9/11/16PNC Bank Arts Center - HolmdelRating: 1 out of 5

The first couple of comedians were ok then got progressively worse, just awful except of course for Sebastian, hysterical as always, but unfortunately only on less than 30 mins. Everyone started leaving after him and once the next comedian came on it was really downhill. Would never go again to Oddball.
