Loved all the rides and unforgettably fat and heart attack inducing foods.
Overall it was fun. Food was way too expensive though
I really enjoy this Fair, I went twice, Way to Pricey on the Beer
It was fabulous!! Clean, lots of healthy (and unhealthy) food, good rides, wonderful music and shows, animals are always great.
This year was pretty much like all the others - not much has changed which can be a good thing I guess. I really liked the new Hangar where we could hear and take a glimpse of bands playing. The only bummer for me is the food seems to be getting worse! I get it's all American food (burgers, bbq) but putting aside the crazy chocolate covered hot dogs which I guess is okay to talk about to people - I was disappointed in the rest of the food. It's the same stuff in every corner - isn't that one of the main reasons in going ~ to pig out and try different things? OC needs a little more flavor. How about some of the catering trucks that have been all over LA lately? There's been better food at small local fairs that have had random catering trucks like Piaggio. Or larger one's that have King Taco. Not like I want it to be hipsterville @ the fair but it would be nice to maybe have a corner with some authentic foods - maybe even some hippie organics. I understand the fair wants to play it same but it's almost a reflection of how much of OC is. I hate to say it! But I'll be back next year! ;-)
we took our 6 year old for her 6th birthday. she had sooooooooo much fun with endless stuff to do. its really cheap to get in but you spend as much as you would at a amusement park, it was worth it.
ME AND MY FAMILY HAD A VERY GOOD TIME,AND OUR GOING BACK THIS SAT,THE FOOD WAS AWSOME AND THE RIDES,MY KIDS WANT TO GO BACK,8/20/2011 WILL BE BACK.
The crowd was great, everyone was singing with the artists it was like a spiritual revival!!
The O C Fair has become a major event in the past few years. It is a quantum leap better than it used to be - the entertainment and also the food. It is a bit pricey though . . . I have to admit. The drinks were definitely too expensive.
Loved all three bands. But Walter Trout really brought the house down. More blues next year please!!!
If you are a typical fair person, then you'll love this top notch fair. You have a variety of foods, rides, shops, and activities to choose from. Totally recommended!!!
The OC fair is great! It's not so big as the LA county fair so that your legs don't give out before you can reach your car in the north forty of the endless parking lot. In fact, the OC fair (on weekends) will give you free parking in a covered structure and a free shuttle to the fair so you don't have to walk far. Admission is a relative bargain when you compare to the parks like Disneyland and Knotts. If you bring some of your own food and drink (in plastic bottles only) you can forego the expensive fare (pun intended) unless you have a real hankering for chocolate-covered bacon. The Peking acrobats were great, as usual. The music was great, and free. The police dog show was fun, the booths are great, and the people-watching hilarious. A full day's entertainment on a budget. Gotta love it! Oh, and buying your tickets online for no fee was also great!
The best part of the fair was the ice museum. The art work was AMAZING! It was also a great way to cool down from the scorching OC heat. Watching the Chainsaw Chicks sculpt live was pretty impressive as well. I also enjoyed watching the Peking Acrobats (free live entertainment). I didn't like how expensive the food and rides were. The bazaar they had was fun to peruse through and had some inexpensive items (such as earrings for $1). All in all, if you avoid the expensive food and rides, it's still possible to save. P.S. Remember that if you arrive in between 10-11am, tickets prices are only $2-4. My group purchased our tickets online for $11 each...we sure learned our lesson for the future.
We had such a great time. There was so much to do and the kids want to go again next year!
Frim the variety and number of food booths to the cleanliness of the grounds themselves, it was the best fair ever! Our grandaughter was mesmerized by the baby chicks and piglets and cheered the Asatian pigs on in the pig races. She was totally exhausted at the end of the day with lots of great memories, as were we!
A good place to spend the day with your family & friends. Great food, awesome entertainment, the rides and games are those that young ones will truly enjoy. See you next year.
Great purchase ..easy entry when making the purchase ahead of time
The OC Fair is a thousand times better than the Pomona Fair. It's smaller, but...less crowded and the food more affordable. The admission fee is 1/2 of the Pomona Fair. I loved it.
Had a wonderful time. No problem with parking. All of the Fair staff were very nice - helped us find things and often offered guidance without being asked. We spent the whole day eating and enjoying all of the exhibits and entertainment. Thank you very much.
