  • Great night, party

by Larry on 7/22/24Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Get ready to party with two bands who know how to bring the energy! Fitz and the Tantrums played for 45 minutes and O.A.R. for almost two hours, at one of the best venues to see a concert. Certainly got my money's worth and highly recommend.

  • Too crowded

by Corey on 7/22/24Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkRating: 1 out of 5

Facility is all General Admission (with exception of a small group of VIP tickets) and the sold out crowd was way too packed. We had to stand squished by the porta-johns to get a glimpse of the stage, even very far back. They sold too many tickets given the size of the facility. The bad was great.

  • Amazing Show

by Matthew on 7/22/24Stone Pony Summer Stage - Asbury ParkRating: 5 out of 5

What an amazing show! Such energy! Cannot wait to see them again!

  • An okay time

by TheLastDriveIn on 7/20/24Red Hat Amphitheater - RaleighRating: 3 out of 5

Overall the show was average. It started with the opening act being cut for a short period and being brought on. Then for 20-30 minutes with clear warnings from weather stations saying there would be thunder they finally said to evacuate. Why wait and make us stand in the rain is what I don’t get when it was clear this evacuation was going to happen anyone with a weather app could have called it. It was great that the show was able to continue but by the time it started again it may have been 9:30 I believe and re entry was chaotic with many peoples tickets not being checked and pushed through. Our seats were no longer available when we returned so we had to move back as trying to get our seats seemed unlikely. OAR killed it though and played till 11pm which was wild and really appreciate them doing that for the fans. This review gets a 3/5 because of the band pulling through, fitz as well doing an amazing job. If not for the bands and amazing venue staff, not security…they didn’t do much when it came to the evacuation or re entry. I would give this review a 1/5. Very unorganized once the weather came into play.

  • Mother Nature was not our friend

by Blondie on 7/19/24Red Hat Amphitheater - RaleighRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed Fritz & the Tantrums but it rained thru almost entire show, then in waiting for O.A.R. to come on we were evacuated from venue. We waited patiently in our car & was watching weather which indicated the storm would be significant, so we left. When we were almost home, concert goers were let back into the venue so we SADLY missed all of O.A.R.

  • Fantastic as ever

    by CS1983 on 7/19/24Red Hat Amphitheater - RaleighRating: 5 out of 5

This is makes the fourth time seeing O.A.R. and I’m ready for the fifth. It’s always a great show even if we did have to be evacuated due to weather. It happened right after Fitz and the Tantrums finished their set. Once allowed back in as always O.A.R. was so appreciative of their fans and then even more so for sticking it out. I think it really helped the energy. I’ve been a fan since “That Was a Crazy Game of Poker” in 1997. Always a must see band and every time is like the first time when you see them. 10/10 recommend

  • Great show

by saterry on 8/29/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The band was great and had a fun time entertaining the crowd.

  • Great Concert

by Peter on 8/10/23Rating: 5 out of 5

OAR always puts on a great show, and this one was no exception!

  • great show

by marvelous on 8/8/23Rating: 5 out of 5

hometown shows just hit differently. such a fun show and so much energy! Loved it

  • Awesome Concert - Venue needs to plan better

by GBEERS on 8/8/23Rating: 4 out of 5

The concert was awesome but I don't understand whey I paid for parking when I drove into Lot 2 "multilevel garage"and no one checked for a parking pass. What a waste of money. I would also recommend the venue figure out how to control the F& B crowds and the vendors. Use line dividers to keep the lines away from the middle of a main walking lane. It was hard to see where lines ended, people got upset when others cut in line but didn't mean to and people carrying food and drink kept getting knocked into each other since they had to walk through the lines that were waiting.

  • LOVED The Goo Goo Dolls

    by Antoinette70 on 8/7/23Rating: 3 out of 5

The Goo Goo Dolls were really great. I wasn't expecting them to be the openers for the show. OAR was really disappointing: I had never seen them before and have no interest in seeing them again. The treble was too high and when you combine that with the pitch of the lead singer's voice it was quite painful. We left four songs into their set. They are better digitally than they are in person. It was definitely not my cup of tea.

  • Shout out to Big Night Out!

by JV on 8/7/23Rating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing OAR, and they did not disappoint. They played to a packed home town crowd that sang along to every song. Energy was high. Sound was amazing. Can't wait for them to come back.

  • Such an awesome venue except...

by KatieJo on 8/7/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Getting to see O.A.R. at Merriweather Post Pavilion was such an awesome experience. Their music is amazing and the energy they bring to the stage is incredible. The only thing I can say I wished were different was the parking. We had no clue where we were going or what we were looking for. But we eventually got it figured out and go to concert.

  • Fun night!

by James on 8/7/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Both bands did they best. Everything was very organized. My wife and I we really had fun.

  • Goo Goo Dolls was an Opener?

    by Archie1709 on 8/7/23Rating: 2 out of 5

The concert was great except many of the people who I knew were there with us would have preferred that OAR was the opener, and Goo Goo Dolls was the headline. Many of us were Goo Goo Dolls fans and went there expecting them to be the main artist. Instead, they played from 7:00PM to 8:10PM. And then OAR played from 8:30PM until 11:00PM. Few of us stayed for a few minutes but left the concert around 9:30PM because we felt misled. We are glad to have bought lawn seats. Imagine if we had actually seats on the venue for a few hundred dollars and have to sit for the remaining of OAR so as to feel that we at least got our money's worth. I was disappointed overall. The Goo Goo Dolls set was epic though, hence the two stars. Otherwise, this concert was misleading.

  • Bucket List

by BKFEEN on 8/7/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Seeing one of my favorite bands in their “hometown” show was truly a bucket list night! Crowd energy was amazing. The fans showed up and completely embraced the band being home. The band was awesome as well. Playing straight through to curfew with no breaks and continually acknowledging the energy of the crowd. Just an absolutely fantastic experience.

  • Disappointed

by Karen on 8/7/23Rating: 1 out of 5

I purchased tickets to see the GOO GOO DOLLS NOT OAR. The concert was a Friday night and when I got there and walked in at 740 and the GOO GOO Dolls were playing and I saw 3 songs to say I was pissed is an understatement! OAR should never have been the headliner I do not care they are from Maryland, I paid to see GOO GOO DOLLS and missed it thanks to it being a Friday night having to take off work and stuck in traffic going to the arena at Merriweather and NOT receiving an update that the line up changed. Very disappointed! Merriweather should not have changed the line up! I purchased 9 tickets and didn't get to see the performance I paid for.

  • Best concert experience

by Melissa on 8/7/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Goo goo dolls and OAR were phenomenal! Counting down until next year!

  • Great Concert

by Shills on 8/7/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic show by both bands! They are great musicians that put on a great show.

  • Will see them again!

by Audnich on 8/7/23Rating: 5 out of 5

It was my very first time seeing O.A.R in concert, the very best concert I’ve ever been too especially since I knew every song Marc sang. I’ve been a fan of theirs for about 15 years and to finally see them in person was just so breathtaking. Highly recommend seeing O.A.R in person! Also seeing Goo Goo dolls was a bonus!
