The casting for Saturday night was amazing! This year’s company is some of the best dancing. I cannot say how WONDERFUL Clara was! Darcy was just Fabulous and Stunning.
The seats were great! Your theater is so beautiful! We talked about all the shows we’d seen there before. My favorite was when my daughter sang there. The Memphis Ballet did a wonderful job. They have some very talented performers! I also enjoyed the comic relief.
Tickets are always to expensive. There should be more opportunities for the middle to lower class to enjoy the arts.

I’ve had front row seats to this annual event for over a decade. It’s a holiday classic that I cherish. The music and dance are magical. Love seeing this every year!
This was my first time going to the Orpheum and my first time seeing the Nutcracker! The Orpheum was absolutely GORGEOUS and the ballet was beautiful! I loved everything from the costumes to the live orchestra to the environment in general. Wonderful job to all those who made this production possible! I hope to make seeing this a new Christmas tradition!
The play was well done, and we enjoyed it. The seating is extraordinarily tight and annoying because if someone in the middle wands out or in, you literally have to stand up and move out of the row to allow them in or out. The seats are also tiny and tight. You feel as if you’re sitting on top of one another. Orpheum Memphis needs to revamp the seating completely. It would mean fewer seats with more room and make the rows wider to allow for people moving in and out of the rows. The seats are uncomfortable due to not being wide enough, and the angle of your hips and knees causes hip and knee pain sitting for that length of time. The Orpheum Memphis is beautiful but needs to consider comfort for these long shoes, and the handicapped section is a joke.
Every year my friend and I enjoy seeing the Nutcracker at the Orpheum in Memphis. It wouldn't be Christmas without it! This year's was even better!! The ballet dancers were even better! The costumes were even more gorgeous!! It felt like the show was more traditional!!!!
Soooo many people walking in front of the seating, continuously. We finally left because we couldn't see the stage.
This was my first visit to the Beau Rivage. You have to go through the casino to enter the Theater. We were unpleasantly surprised to see that there were people smoking and it was hard to breath. We had our young children with us. There was no smoking allowed in the actual Theater, but obviously it shares air with the casino and the Theater lobbydoors were left open to the casino, so it filtered in. Our family will not return to this venue for that reason.
We thought this was a professional production and it was a local dance recital. Not worth the money!🤨
Theater needs A little Polish & Shine- the Dance Company was counting steps and seemed to be out of sync- - The Production was late to begin- about 15-20 minutes. I do not like to be critical but we were so looking forward to the Show in The Beau Rivage Theater- it did not meet our expectations.
The Nutcracker was wonderful this year. All the performers gave an excellent show. All of the singers where excellent as well.
It was a wonderful experience, seeing The Nutcracker. The performers were all excellent and of good cheer - including my 9 year old granddaughter (two roles in the play!). The venue was nice, smaller than I'm used to experiencing, which was near perfect for this event. Overall, very positive experience!
What a wonderful show this was!! We enjoyed it SO much!! But we also enjoyed being at the Beau Rivage!! Everyone was kind and helpful. The food we had was great and the Christmas decorations were incredible!!
I loved seeing the local dance studios performing with the professional dancers from all over the world! This will be a lasting memory for those young dancers!
Paid over $300. For 3 tickets. I was expecting professional production. It was a local dance recital basically. The kids were adorable but not worth the cost. Then it was 45 min late starting.
I haven’t seen the Nutcracker since I was in grade school……and I STILL haven’t! That performance was more of a dance recital than it was the ballet. No orchestra playing the music, it was played on the sound system. Very little actual ballet dance steps. Mostly people running back and forth across the stage. It’s not like our tickets were cheap, I expected far more the I saw. We left at intermission as did probably about a fourth of those who attended.
We had to leave early because tye show started 42 minutes late !!!
This show was magical! Such great talent right here in our own backyard!
