About

Nurse Blake (born Blake Lynch) is a touring comedian, creator and licensed nurse who’s worked in level one trauma centers since graduating from nursing school in 2013. To cope with the stress of nursing school, Blake began posting comedic videos on Facebook and sharing his experience. From his first viral sketch, 2017’s “The Scrub Romper,” to 2019’s “New Nurses Be Like…,” Blake has amassed over 3.5 million followers — including frontline workers and RNs who connected with his relatable sketches — across social media. In 2013, Blake launched Banned4Life to end the FDA’s ban on gay and bisexual blood donations, which contributed to lifting the lifetime ban in 2015. Following his nationwide PTO Comedy Tour, which sold over 120,000 tickets, Nurse Blake was dubbed a "genuine phenomenon" by The New York Times in 2022. He is also the author of the bestselling children's book I Want To Be A NURSE When I Grow Up.

    Great show

    by NP babe on 12/2/23

Great show, perfect content, all the most inappropriate things you can’t say at work but laugh at home. Thanks for bringing humor to a dark profession.

    Language

by Nurse on 12/1/23Alabama Theatre - Birmingham

I felt there was a lot of nurse content he could have used without all the language and discussing his lifestyle so much .. the acoustics were not great either ..

    Much needed comic relief

    by LA2RN on 12/1/23Alabama Theatre - Birmingham

I absolutely had the most awesome time!! I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard since I began nursing school. So thankful for Nurse Blake for the best night of comic relief. Only wish he worked on my unit so work would always be less stressful!!

    Nurse Blake @ The Saenger

by TLD on 11/29/23Saenger Theatre New Orleans - New Orleans

The city was extremely packed making it difficult to get to and from The Saenger. Nurse Blake’s performance was shorter than expected. Funny but expected more.

    Parts were funny. excessive profanity

by RN on 11/29/23Mark C. Smith Concert Hall at the Von Braun Center - Huntsville

Good to have a comedian and an audience that can relate. A little too much profanity for my taste. There is a lot about nursing that is funny.

Great energy, but had already heard the jokes

by Em on 11/29/23Mark C. Smith Concert Hall at the Von Braun Center - Huntsville

Nurse Blake was friendly and had great energy. It felt like he made a lot of jokes about his personal life, which were funny! But we came for the nursing/Healthcare jokes, and many of those were repeated from what he's already shared on Instagram

    Not Judging, Just Assessing

    by Seth on 11/29/23

Nurse Blake is just as funny and quick witted in person as he is on socials. The roast at the end was my favorite! No lies just straight fact. Thank you, Blake for bringing light to such an emotional career—keeping us and my peers entertained and inspired. See you soon!

    Unrelateable

by Ticked off on 11/28/23Orpheum Theatre - Minneapolis

Left after 24 minutes. Waste of money!!! Unrelateable. Nothing like his many funny videos. Too many references regarding being gay-We know you’re gay. So what? Raunchy was not expected and rather what was experienced. Hated every minute

    Hilarious

by Pixismiler on 11/27/23Saenger Theatre New Orleans - New Orleans

A must see if you are in healthcare. You don’t have to be a nurse to enjoy it. I’m a medical social worker and got all of the references. I’ve been following Nurse Blake for years and am glad I got to see him in person.

    Loved the show!

    by Kat on 11/27/23

Nurse Blake is the best! I’ve been following him on Instagram and TikTok forever and love all his stuff he posts so when I got the opportunity to go to one of his shows I jumped on the chance and I was not disappointed! The ACCURACY of his comedy was insanely on point (as always) and he also was excellent at interacting with his audience. If you can’t decide if you want to see his show (for whatever weird reason), let me tell you….YOU SHOULD! It’s absolutely worth it
