About

Nurse Blake (born Blake Lynch) is a touring comedian, creator and licensed nurse who’s worked in level one trauma centers since graduating from nursing school in 2013. To cope with the stress of nursing school, Blake began posting comedic videos on Facebook and sharing his experience. From his first viral sketch, 2017’s “The Scrub Romper,” to 2019’s “New Nurses Be Like…,” Blake has amassed over 3.5 million followers — including frontline workers and RNs who connected with his relatable sketches — across social media. In 2013, Blake launched Banned4Life to end the FDA’s ban on gay and bisexual blood donations, which contributed to lifting the lifetime ban in 2015. Following his nationwide PTO Comedy Tour, which sold over 120,000 tickets, Nurse Blake was dubbed a "genuine phenomenon" by The New York Times in 2022. He is also the author of the bestselling children's book I Want To Be A NURSE When I Grow Up.

    My face and chest hurt

    by Paula on 12/20/23

Nurse Blake did an absolutely great job at mocking the profession in clever ways. I could not stop laughing, clapping and shouting. From the scrubs you wear, to management and JCO, from nightshift life to each individual specialty, from picking on the front row to picking on RT, pharmacy and his own family, he did an absolute amazing job and keeping us entertained for close to 2 hrs. Was not dissapointed and I hope his career continues to grow even more as he goes onto Netflix. 🙏 ❤

    Norfolk show

    by Jencha on 12/6/23

We had a blast! The show was so much fun and we couldn’t stop laughing for 2 hours! Couple years ago I already went to Blake’s show the PTO tour, which was really funny too, but this one was hilarious and outstanding! All jokes were fresh! We enjoyed the show! 100% worth the time and money

Not at all related to nursing or funny

by A nurse on 12/5/23Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts (fka Duke Energy) - Raleigh

It wasn’t funny. I was expecting nurse humor but it wasn’t at all funny. The only funny parts were sound bits that are overplayed on Instagram. Don’t waste your money

    Funny show in Memphis

by Prison nurse on 12/5/23The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

Haven’t worked in a hospital in a few years, but I can remember working the med-surg, cardiac and ER. It’s nice to see nurses gathering to have fun and take a break from the stressful hard jobs we do. I still black out my bedroom windows to sleep during the day.

    Awful venue

by Sara on 12/4/23Atlanta Symphony Hall - Atlanta

The show was good. It was a little more provocative than I anticipated but good. The venue was terrible on temperature. We were at the top of the venue. The sound was not great and the temperature was terrible. It was merely suffocating at the top of the venue to the point that someone got sick. There was zero air flow.

    Disappointing

by Long time nurse on 12/3/23Mark C. Smith Concert Hall at the Von Braun Center - Huntsville

Based on videos and clips online, I was expecting nurse and hospital related humor. But the amount of profanity completely overshadowed the humor. Comedy can be funny without cursing every other word.

    Did not disappoint

    by Saina on 12/3/23

Absolutely hilarious throughout the entire show!! Love the relatable nursing humor and also how interactive he was with the audience. I’ve been wanting to see him for a while, and he did not disappoint!!

    Fun. Excessive Profanity.

    by jw on 12/3/23

Many of the jokes I have already heard on social media. Despite dropping the F 💣 a lot myself, I thought it was used excessively in the show. But, still a great time with colleagues! The roast at the end was my favorite part.

No shock advised-I loved the show!!

    by Sunshine on 12/3/23

I have been following Nurse Blake for several years now. If there is one thing he is, he’s an advocate for nurses!! His show is spot on (where are the managers!?) He tells it like it is and he is no less than hysterical!! It was a great night for true belly laughs!! I applaud him for his tireless (maybe exhausting for him) efforts to bring us out in droves for a truly fun night. Bravo Nurse Blake!! You.are.fabulous!!!
