Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! is NPR's Peabody Award-winning comedy news quiz show. Host Peter Sagal leads a rotating panel of comedians, writers, listener contestants, and celebrity guests through a rollicking review of the week's news. Contestants vie for the most coveted prize in all of public radio: a custom-recorded greeting by any of our cast members for their voicemail.
Every week, Wait, Wait.... Don't Tell Me! records in front of a live audience, then carefully edits out all the raunchy, inappropriate, shocking, and hilarious stuff so we can broadcast something that doesn't get NPR in trouble... well, more trouble. The only way you can find out what our panelists and guests really think about the news is to come see for yourself. And please--don't tell NPR. Also, we're all much more attractive than we sound.

This review program does not work. I was not allowed to click off the rating I really wanted. Only the one star rating would illuminate. The show was good and as I expected it would be. I am a long time listener and had developed an expectation of how the regular weekly show is produced. This 20th anniversary special show was a lot of fun. Too bad this rating survey program does not work. Good luck in the future.
This show was outstanding, so many laughs which is much needed in today's environment. It was the perfect venue in the beautiful Chicago Theater and I hope the next anniversary show will be there. I'll be there!
The show was a classic - All of the panelists, as well as a few correspondents, who did the panel work. It had some issues with pacing (they'd get carried away, and leave people holding on the phone for a long time, or some of the panelists would keep interrupting the host), but it was a lot of fun. Highly recommend it for a fun evening. May be PG-13, since they don't censor language in the live version, but do once it is broadcast.
Overall, the program was good. I’ve listened to the show for years & it has been very entertaining. First time I saw it live & the sound could have been better. Not sure if guests/hosts were speaking too fast or the acoustics were not that good. It was hard to understand everything said by hosts & guests. Also, the microphone on right side of stage kept having technical difficulties. Come on now, didn’t tech people bring an extra microphone & headset & switch out bad one? Also, the 4 of us thought the show dragged a bit. Too much down time for audience while guests were being changed & waiting for technical difficulties to be ironed out.
Well worth the ticket price and an awesome evening.
