  • Awesome show!

by mybd on 6/27/11The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

The show didn't start on-time but when it got started it was HOT! Richard Elliot, as always performs his best and is quite the entertainer. The smooth sounds of his sax are always unforgettable. This was my first time actually seeing Norman Brown live but enjoyed his CDs. Each performed their finest of sounds with audience and had stage presence. They each got the audience involved and the VIBE was FIRE!

At times the volume was too loud and spoiled the performance. Actually drowned out the headliners performance..

  • Norman Brown & Richard Elliott was KOOL!!

by OdaMan on 6/27/11The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

The show itself was Very Nice, Kool and Off the Wall....You need more acts like those and I would definetly attend. 5 ***** Stars for the show! This was my first time being at the Pagent and for the most part I enjoyed myself, the layout was nice, but I was not KRAZY about "my seats"..... (I was on the second level in front of the Bar, on a FLAT level floor) The people in front of me were either taller or a had a Hair Do's that was! So I kept having to lean from side to side in order to get a glimpse of the stage. The Next event I will DEFINITELY have better seats for sure!!!! Make sure your seating chart reflects the "accuracy" of where the seats are located.

  • Norman Brown & Richard Elliot was truly remarkable

    by CK12 on 6/27/11The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

This Smooth Jazz Concert was one of the most enjoyable jazz events that I've attended thus far. The music and muscians were excellent. Our seats were great and it was nothing but real grown people there. The venue gives off an very romantic atmosphere, couples, singles, girls on a night out just enjoying themselves and listening to sweet sounds of jazz!

  • It was really a Summer Storm......

by AzMattaz on 6/26/11Chene Park - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

The concert title and the weather for the day was ironic. We had a lot of thunderstorms which cleared up and the clouds built up again and this happened a few times. We also had some tornado warnings. The venue was great. Despite the rain and storm we had, it was a good concert. Both Richard Elliot and Norman brown was excellent. I wish Norman Brown played more/longer. It felt short.

  • Norman Brown and Richard Elliot were AWESOME

by Bigebbie on 6/26/11Chene Park - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I had a blast sitting in the front row and feeling the energy they both gave off. Norman Brown and Rich Elliott both left the audience wanting MORE.

  • THIIS EVENT IS UNFORGETABLE

    by triplec3 on 6/25/11Chene Park - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I am a jazz fan to my heart and to once again experience such a great event was more than I could ever hoped for. It was exactly what I expected and then some. I actually thought it was only Norman Brown in concert, but upon receiving my ticket it had Richard Elliott as well so I was doubley entertain with two of my favorite jazz artist. I travel to Detroit from Fort Wayne, Ind and it was well worth the trip and I am antisipating on traveling in that direction for future smooth jazz events. To drive solo to a concert one would ask,why would I do it and is it safe to, and my comment is, whether safe or not I go on God grace and secondly I allow no one to stop me from the opportunity of hearing some of the best jazz artist in the world, such as Norman Brown and Richard Elliott. You guys entertain well and I would recommend you two to anyone of my friends. Thank you so much for such an extraordinary evening. Sincerely, Chris Abernathy

  • Norman Brown ftg Richard Elliott

by lonegirl on 6/24/11Chene Park - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

The show was awesome, but the group that opened for them went a little long, not allowing as much time for the main performance. The really rocked the house. It was a really great time in spite of the rain pouring down upon entry.
