About

Frontier Touring are thrilled to announce the long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand by one of the USA’s most critically acclaimed singer/songwriters – nine-time Grammy winner Norah Jones.

The ‘Come Away With Me’ singer will perform three intimate headline dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart in April 2019, as well as five shows in New Zealand. These will be the beguiling pianist and vocalist’s first performances in Australia in six years – and 14 years in New Zealand! Tickets to all dates go on sale on Thursday 29 November via frontiertouring.com/norahjones.

‘She put on a self-assured show that drew from all aspects of her career while finding focus seated at the piano in her sultry, smoky-voiced comfort zone.’ – Philadelphia Inquirer

‘Norah Jones has always mixed jazz, country, folk and rock, but her concert demonstrated that she has become master of them all... Jones ranged with relaxed abandon through a career-spanning set.’ – Seattle Times

‘Jones has become a more relaxed and mature performer... she is masterful at never overplaying, she also has an eclectic bent and knows how to rock out. Norah Jones keeps getting better with age.’ – Los Angeles Daily News

We left early. We felt the songs ran together I.e. you heard one, you heard them all. We enjoyed the opening act.

  • Great Show

by Judy on 7/13/24The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber HeightsRating: 4 out of 5

Lovely subdued, chill music. Fantastic venue. Concert was a bit shorter than I expected. Only played an hour and ten-fifteen minutes.

  • Mavis Stole the Show

by WM45420 on 7/13/24The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

It was a wonderful show on a beautiful night. Nora Jones performed a tight set of old, new and covers, but it was Mavis Staples who stole the show. She exuded joy and hope. It was infectious. Get out and see her this summer!

  • A bit on the short side

by Thresholdman on 7/13/24The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber HeightsRating: 3 out of 5

I understand why elderly artists play an abbreviated set, especially in hot weather. Norah had no excuse for playing for one hour and 30 minutes. The weather was fantastic and she is a relatively young artist. Her music is best received in a more intimate setting. However, the audience was receptive and there was no excuse for playing a relatively short set. I’ve seen her many times. I’m a big fan. I will think twice before I see her live again.

  • Amazing voice

by Mitch on 7/13/24The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

Mavis Staples was incredible, just lucky we were there to help her celebrate her 85th birthday.

  • Awesome

by Mike on 7/13/24The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

The concert put on by Norah and Mavis was second to none. Mavis at 85 years old is still unbelievable. She is a beautiful person and was so much fun as an entertainer - and that's just what she did - entertain, not just sing. And then there's Norah. She is a soft sweetness to the core, and her voice is unique and that of an angel.

  • Smooth Brilliance!

by Popmusic on 7/13/24The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

She woos the audience into the ethereal dreamworld of elegance and luxury. Such melodious lullabies of love and romance to sweep one away, while magnificently pairing with the legend that is Mavis Staples. Words are simply not enough.

  • Beautiful evening of music

by Theresa on 7/13/24The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber HeightsRating: 3 out of 5

We had never been to the Rose Music Venue and it was amazing! The whole experience was great, no long lines, people were all friendly. A beautiful night with beautiful music. We would have liked to hear more of her older music, and maybe even some classics.

  • What a Evening!

by Cotter on 7/13/24The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber HeightsRating: 5 out of 5

Started with free parking at a fantastic venue on a beautiful evening. Mavis was awesome. A legend with a great supporting band. She knows how to perform and control a room. Norah did not disappoint. Great library to play from, fantastic band behind her and she sounded terrific. Couldn’t have asked for a better evening.

  • Tame setlist and no audience engagement

by Jazz Fan on 7/10/24Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 3 out of 5

The concert offered a pleasant experience at a wonderful venue, though the song selection was rather tame and there was no audience engagement. Norah is an amazing artist but would benefit from a more varied setlist and better interaction with the audience to truly showcase her talents. Was the equivalent of listening on a radio.

  • Awesome

by DePro on 7/10/24Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

Norah put on a great show, little warm but a nice venue too. She has a very beautiful voice and great stage presence.

  • Norah’s incredibly disappointing live performer.

by Lbloom on 7/9/24Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - CanandaiguaRating: 2 out of 5

Norah is an accomplished musician but she was incredibly disappointing as a live performer. The fun of attending a concert is hearing anecdotes and personal insights about the artist’s music. Norah didn’t even muster up the energy to introduce her songs. Very disappointing. Mavis Staples stole the show and saved the concert for us

  • Norah Jones

by Kat Kat on 7/9/24Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 3 out of 5

So I love Norah Jones music HOWEVER. I should've seen her in a lounge type atmosphere along with a drink and a smoke! Too chill for me! I did LOVE LOVE LOVE Mavis Staples who opened for her. For an 85 year old woman, she is totally vibing!!!!!!

  • Fantastic Performance

    by wep83 on 7/9/24Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful venue! Norah Jones is a favorite of wife's for many years so it was incredible to attend this outstanding live performance! The added bonus was Mavis Staples was the opening act and was huge bonus to see this icon and favorite of both us put on a great show!!!!!

  • wish norah would sing simply without all the amps.

by leggy on 7/9/24Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 3 out of 5

Norah Jones has a unique voice which was lost with all the backup and amplification. And even so, it was difficult to hear the words to the songs

  • Best night in a while, for sure......

Norah Jones was great , the crowd was loud & inappropriate for her style of music . Disappointing evening

  • Whole show was great

by TG on 7/9/24Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

Norah was great as expected but a special treat was Mavis Staples as opening act. A legend and soon to be legend all in one night

  • 🤷🏼‍♀️

by Kaze on 7/9/24Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 3 out of 5

Attended with a lawn pass to check out Nora Jones. She’s really low-key and not for me, but pleasant enough if that’s what you are looking for.

  • Praise from Troy, NY

by Norah jones was terrific, but I would have appreciated more of her earlier work, Mavis Staples and her band were excellent. One could have argued that she outshone Norah Jones. Overall: a delightful evening. on 7/9/24Artpark Mainstage Theater - LewistonRating: 5 out of 5

Lawn "seats"on a steep slope can be challenging. Overall: A delightful evening. Mavis Staples was excellent! Norah Jones was terrific, but might have selected more of her earlier work.
