About

Frontier Touring are thrilled to announce the long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand by one of the USA’s most critically acclaimed singer/songwriters – nine-time Grammy winner Norah Jones.

The ‘Come Away With Me’ singer will perform three intimate headline dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart in April 2019, as well as five shows in New Zealand. These will be the beguiling pianist and vocalist’s first performances in Australia in six years – and 14 years in New Zealand! Tickets to all dates go on sale on Thursday 29 November via frontiertouring.com/norahjones.

‘She put on a self-assured show that drew from all aspects of her career while finding focus seated at the piano in her sultry, smoky-voiced comfort zone.’ – Philadelphia Inquirer

‘Norah Jones has always mixed jazz, country, folk and rock, but her concert demonstrated that she has become master of them all... Jones ranged with relaxed abandon through a career-spanning set.’ – Seattle Times

‘Jones has become a more relaxed and mature performer... she is masterful at never overplaying, she also has an eclectic bent and knows how to rock out. Norah Jones keeps getting better with age.’ – Los Angeles Daily News

  • Norah is sunshine on a cloudy day :)

by Missaay on 3/27/10The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - MashantucketRating: 5 out of 5

She is as adorable in concert as she is in a picture. She is sweet and funny and her voice is incredible. She sounds just as lovely as she does on a record. She played for about an hour and a half. I would have liked more but what she gave was simply amazing. I will definitely see Norah the next time she is around.

  • phenomenal voice

Norah's voice is fantastic. She sings effortlessly. Her voice and songs are a terrific blend. Her arrangements with the band seemed unsure. Not sure when to start and the endings of the songs were blase. Appeared to be the start of the tour. However the talent in the band seemed limitless just not up to snuff. The back up singing was excellent and the covers of Johnny Cash and other country type material was awesome and completely surprised me. My wife really enjoyed the concert and hopes to see her the next time around.

  • Norah Jones - MGM Grand Foxwoods 3-26-10

by Colonialbrew on 3/27/10The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - MashantucketRating: 5 out of 5

Overall - 5 stars! Norah Jones is an incredible talent - a beautiful and powerful voice, multitalented instrumentally (paino, keyboard and guitar), and an friendly, humorus on stage personality that really connects with the audience. She effortlessly swings between differant styles of music, from her trademark R&B, to soft pop, and even a little bit of fun, bluegrass twanged country. Going in to the concert, my wife was the real Norah Jones fan in the house, but I enjoyed the show immensely myself, and now count myself as a big fan. Also, the MGM Grand at Foxwoods was the perfect small venue to see a show like this - warm, cozy, and not a bad seat in the house. We both thorougly enjoyed the show, and we would both go to see her again and would reccomend Norah to others.

  • Norah is simply amazing!

by jsavage81 on 3/27/10The MGM Grand at Foxwoods - MashantucketRating: 5 out of 5

Norah started the show with some new material, including "I Wouldn't Need You," "Light as a Feather" and her single "Chasing Pirates." She played guitar for most of these songs and later switched seamlessly to piano to do some old favorites. She played "Don't Know Why" and then changed back to guitar to do a new version of "Come Away with Me." She let someone else cover the piano for this tune. She also played a Johnny Cash cover which was a nice treat. Her voice is simply amazing and sounds even better live than her albums! Would love to see Norah again. She's simply an amazing and versatile musician who was just as comfortable with her guitar as the piano.

  • shes so good live!

  • Norah Jones, Good, But...

    by 9IronMike on 3/23/10The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

I liked the set list, although a few more older songs would have been nice. I love "Toes"...she didn't play it. Great show, outstanding musicians. However, I thought they sounded a little too much like a studio recording than a live show. Would've like to hear them jam a little more. You know, cut loose a little. Her interaction with the crowd was very cool. She told one guy, "Stop looking up my dress." Very funny. She seems like someone that would be fun to hang out with. Despite my minor criticisms, a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I would definitely lay down cash to see her again.

  • Norah Jones' voice is raw talent

by BrittanyU on 3/23/10The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

The opening act was horrible. A guy playing acoustic guitar & harmonica. He sang fine but the songs sounded like he made them up while on a heroin high...made no sense & very dark. He never introduced himself either so the audience didn't know who he was until the very end when Norah mentioned his name. Now onto Norah....1,000 times better live than her CD's give her credit. Incredibly beautiful effortless voice that comes out of her. Unbelievably talented because she played the piano, keyboard & guitar for every song. Love her band as well. The Chicago Theatre was Sistine-Chapel like w/ gold embellishments & red velvet curtains & high round arched entry-ways/doors everywhere. They don't make buildings like that anymore. So much detail in the architecture. Awesome show! One I'll never forget. Come back soon Norah!!

This was our second time seeing Norah Jones. We love her music and have her first two cd's. The opening act was ok. There was an extremely long break in between 1st act and Norah. We LOVED the first concert we saw. This time it seemed too short kept me wanting more satisfaction. I will still see her again.... Maybe it was an off night or I was just expecting more since I was really looking coward to this concert for months and the Hendrix experience concert I saw March 18th was much longer and no breaks.

  • Love it!!

The best show I've been to this year and that's saying a lot!!

  • Very good concert

    by rooroo64 on 3/22/10The O'Shaughnessy - Saint PaulRating: 4 out of 5

Norah played most of her more popular music, along with a couple of other fun pieces. Band was tight and it was a fun concert. She let her personality come through, which is more playful than I imagined from her music.

  • Best concert I've seen in a long time!

by ixchel on 3/22/10The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Norah knows how to engage her audience and the mutual appreciation - us for her music and she for her audience - was heartwarming. It was a good mix of old and new and her range from jazz to rock to country is just incredible. Saving "Come away with me" for the encore made it all the more special. The Chicago Theatre is such an awesome venue and was perfect for this event. Norah's voice of an angel was no surprise to me, but having only listenbed to her on CD's I had no idea what a musician she was with the many instruments she plays. Her lounge singer style coupled with the historic atmosphere of of the theater couldn't have been more compatible.

  • by hivoltage440 on 3/22/10The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. The opening act ( folk type singer ) was a bit odd, but ok. As for Norah, she gave a great concert, included all of her songs off her new album and several previous hits. The Chicago Theatre was full and the crowd seemed to be very into the performance. Her new band also sounded exceptional..

  • The No Jo Show

by JRobArt on 3/22/10The Chicago Theatre - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

If you went to this show I think the opening act by Elvis Perkins was amazing. I know a lot of people were wanted to clap more but didn't want to clap to much considering that Norah was up next. I have to say the show went pretty fast. At sometimes it seemed as she was staged fright. She talked to the audience a little but not to much which wasn't bad because I didn't want to here her tell me everything about each song. Not to much improvising for the concert was a little bit of a turn off. They can all play very well but I could of listened to the album at home. The sound and acoustics were great but thats what happens when you play at the Chicago Theatre.
