A Necessary Voice (Bleeped Three Times)
by Jalapeño Cheese Bread on 3/9/25The Atlantis - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5The show was incredible! Both the opener Amy Annette (who was great at crowdwork) and Nish himself (master of the well-worked callback) did an incredible job. His voice is so necessary in difficult times because he says some things that others aren't willing to say out loud, and he could just leave it at that and let it be a show of edgy comedy. But he doesn't leave it at that. He contextualizes his feelings with heart, warmth, love, compassion, and the appropriately frustrated resignation of someone who has been paying attention to the world and let down by it in equal measure. For all the seriousness of the material, his wit, charm, and genuine humor shine through. I can't recommend this show enough. Also, if Nish ever reads this, the answer to your set list question is, "if there's cake in the fridge, then before 'Death'."
