Nine Inch Nails are a progressive, Grammy-winning industrial rock band composed of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Formed in Cleveland, Ohio as a solo project for singer, songwriter and producer Trent Reznor in 1988, Nine Inch Nails have released 11 studio albums, six EPs and three remix albums, starting with 1989’s Pretty Hate Machine and breakout debut singles “Down In It” and “Head Like a Hole.” For 1992’s Broken EP, NIN reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 while its standout record “Wish” won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance. In the midst of hitting No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for 1994’s The Downward Spiral and 1999’s The Fragile, respectively, NIN released Hot 100-charting singles “Closer” and “The Perfect Drug” and earned a second Best Metal Performance Grammy at the 1996 ceremony for “Happiness in Slavery.” Nine Inch Nails went on hiatus until the 2005 chart-topper With Teeth, then hit the Hot 100 again with singles “The Hand That Feeds” and “Only,” and later with “Survivalism" from their 2007 follow-up Year Zero. Longtime collaborator and English producer Atticus Ross became an official member of NIN in 2016, established with a trilogy of releases culminating in 2018’s Bad Witch. As composers, the duo have earned two Academy Awards, two Grammys and one Emmy. In 2020, Nine Inch Nails were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. NIN also composed the score for the 2025 film Tron: Ares.

NIN was good, skipped the rest. Somewhat of a disappointing final tour, but supposedly they're going to do a few new shows to fix that.
I love both of these bands, but I think Jane's Addiction took it home!
The show was great everything was excellent the venue Kicks ass. Easy access, easy in and out no hasssles. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the price. It was over $300 for 2 tickets and no STREET SWEEPER appearance.
The Pearl at the Palms is one of the most amazing small venues available. NIN/JA was my second show at the Pearl, and I continue to look for bands I love at this venue. The sound is always amazing!! NIN was amazing as always! JA totally rocked it for me!! Perry's stage presence and interaction with the crowed was fantastic.
I do not regret the time spent on my computer waiting for these tickets to go on sale. Supposed to be NIN last time performing ( I know were all hoping that they come back). Would have been nice if they could have played but they were still awesome. Jane's addiction really put on a great show that in the end didn't leave you wanting for more.
NIN's were great. I would say that Jane's Addiction and NIN are two of my favorite bands from the past so I was excited to see them together. Both played well but I felt NIN should never play before dark and was surprised to see them play first. Perry from Jane's Addiction started talking politics and ruined their show. It was evident others were upset by this as well. The music was great but lost its appeal with his comments. Still had a good time and look forward to seeing NIN again, but at night.
i really enjoyed the performance from nin but it just seemed that there was something missing from the atmosphere hmmm maybe DARKNESS . it was the first concert venue that i have been to that would actually have the main band go on first and sacrifice the ambiance of night for them. i donno maybe it was Trents decision. none the less we had fun but will never see a show at the santa barbara bowl again.
One of the best shows Ive seen! The combination of NIN and Jane's Addiction was rock bliss to the ears. JA radiated sex and Rock and Roll. A must see...... to bad it's the last NIN tour.
This concert was awesome!!! I was pleasantly surprised with how much fun I had. I love the Santa Barbara Bowl, it is by far my favorite venue.
It was a decent show. I really thought NIN was headlining but it ended up being Jane's addiction. I think NIN would have been better. Their light show was really cool. I would definitely go to another NIN show again(as long as they headline). Jane's addiction has never really impressed me.
the opening with Tom Morello was awesome. I was surprised that NIN only played a short set because they were the best act of the night but Jane's was the headliner. I did not feel the energy that Jane's addiction gave a headliner performance, it should have been Nine inch nails.
From the first song that NIN played to the last song that Jane's Addiction played ~ everyone was on their feet. Great Show!
Such an unforgettable night!! To see such amazing muscians together on one stage was mind blowing!!
I got to see Nine Inch Nails (which is my favorite band ever!!) along with Janes Addicton on 05/16/09, an unforgetable day for me, and let me tell you I have never seen a better show and I know I won't ever again! So if you don't know either Nine Inch Nails or Janes Addiction, you should really look them up because its the right thing to do and because Nine Inch Nais is simply the best band I have ever known!!! I LOVED THIS SHOW.......WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Great intro band, Street Sweeper Social Club. What a surprise!! Nice intro. Unique, tight and fully engaged. They'll be headlining soon. After SSSC, NIN followed. NIN was phenomenal. The light show was mesmerizing, the music superb... absolutely incredible musicianship. The video feed didn't work for most of the show but it didn't matter. The show was amazing. Now, Jane's played in a lounge setting. Nice, but a letdown after the NIN sensory barrage. I just don't think that they have the music selection and energy to follow NIN. Had it been the other way around, the show would have been a five out of five.
NIN and Janes were both amazing... and played a lot of the old stuff
Janes was great and energetic. Been a fan of NIN since day one...but was a bit mellow for my liking. Still a great show and nice to see all the boys together again, just like at Lolapolooza(sp).
I saw this line-up when they played together at the first Lollapalooza and it was worth waiting almost 20 years to see them together again. Jane's Addiction was spectacularly led by Perry Farrell-he is a true showman. I also loved the Street Sweeper Social Club. Tom Morello does not fail or disappoint with his newest band.
NIN could have played more songs. THere were no visuals and i felt they didnt put their aLL into the show.. i was disappointed.
My first NIN concert, and likely my last. Longtime fan, so I was a little disappointed they played more new than old songs. Didn't see Jane's Addiction. Who cares.
