About

Nine Inch Nails are a progressive, Grammy-winning industrial rock band composed of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Formed in Cleveland, Ohio as a solo project for singer, songwriter and producer Trent Reznor in 1988, Nine Inch Nails have released 11 studio albums, six EPs and three remix albums, starting with 1989’s Pretty Hate Machine and breakout debut singles “Down In It” and “Head Like a Hole.” For 1992’s Broken EP, NIN reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 while its standout record “Wish” won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance. In the midst of hitting No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for 1994’s The Downward Spiral and 1999’s The Fragile, respectively, NIN released Hot 100-charting singles “Closer” and “The Perfect Drug” and earned a second Best Metal Performance Grammy at the 1996 ceremony for “Happiness in Slavery.” Nine Inch Nails went on hiatus until the 2005 chart-topper With Teeth, then hit the Hot 100 again with singles “The Hand That Feeds” and “Only,” and later with “Survivalism" from their 2007 follow-up Year Zero. Longtime collaborator and English producer Atticus Ross became an official member of NIN in 2016, established with a trilogy of releases culminating in 2018’s Bad Witch. As composers, the duo have earned two Academy Awards, two Grammys and one Emmy. In 2020, Nine Inch Nails were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. NIN also composed the score for the 2025 film Tron: Ares.

  • NINJA ROX

by scottwwilson on 7/13/09Molson Amphitheatre - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Pro's - both bands rocked my world.... Con's - onsite staff didn't know or allow the photography gear that the band clearly posted online... dumb security staff, poorly managed from fan point of view

  • NIN was good

    by G8rftball on 7/13/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 3 out of 5

NIN was good. Very little production made for a good performance. NIN legendary production would have made it great!

  • show was uneventful

by lorenzo927 on 7/13/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 3 out of 5

NIN played first...their set was an odd choice of songs, leaving out many classics. Overall neither Janes or NIN impressed me or anyone who went with. I have seen NIN twice before, this was definately my least favorite time.

  • Janes rocked NIN

by lschwae on 7/13/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

I had seen Janes before and went to the show to see Trent. My BF was going to Janes & was whining about NIN headlining. Trent ended up opening for Janes & I wouldn't have had it any other way. The were both great but Janes rocked the show!

  • Jane says, I want to f!#! you like an animal!

    by chucky1 on 7/13/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

It rocked. I would do it all over if I could. The beer was too expensive or it would have gotten 5 stars.

  • Amazing show

by greekchick on 7/13/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Perry Farrell was in rare form, and NIN was great as usual. So glad I got to see their last tour.

  • Nine Inch Nails not the headliner

by DirtyDutch on 7/13/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

I am still in complete amazement that Janes Addiction was the headliner rather than NIN. I don't know if this is for all shows but it was that way for the show in Denver. I didn't even stay to watch Janes Addiction. Had NIN been the headliner I most likely would rank it 5 stars just cause NIN always puts on an amazing show.

  • NIN janes addiction

by mikechavo on 7/13/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 2 out of 5

NIN had a great performance but i was mislead into believing NIN was the headlining act. NIN is a show you want to see at night with the lights in full effect. i was dissapointed at the length of their set, as well as its start time as i missed the first 6 songs. i am not a janes addiction fan and did not wish to see them.

  • NIN should *not* open for Jane's Addiction

by ninfan on 7/13/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 2 out of 5

I love NIN, and was glad to see Trent on this "farewell" tour. That said, he came on right when the ticket said, opening for Jane's Addiction, I suppose. Like much of the crowd, I missed part of the performance. That was lame.

  • NINJA best show in years.

by jeepman on 7/13/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

Usually on a reunuion show they play the songs you want to hear but sound just ok. Not the case here. Janes Addiction was the best show I have seen in 15 years. I had so much fun I hurt the next day. I am actually going to Lollapolooza just to see them again.

  • Jane's Addiction should NEVER have reunited

by BrittanyP on 7/13/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 1 out of 5

The opening act was great, NIN is always amazing, but Jane's Addiction was enough to make us leave. They were terrible. We have never left a concert early. We could only stomach thte first four somgs before we decided it was a waste of our time to put ourselves through anymore. Jane's Additction should do themselves a favor and split up again. Save us all some pain.

  • Perry made the concert. NIN I will miss you!

by cnikki on 7/13/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

Perry was awesome! I have never seen JA live and it was worth it. I am very grateful to have seen NIN for their last concert!

  • NIN was awesome!

    by RED25 on 7/13/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

I thought NIN put on amazingly awesome show...Trent Reznor had so much energy on stage. This was my first NIN concert. sad to hear that this is their last tour. But I'll awlay be a huge fan of NIN...Not too much into Janes Addiction but it was good to see them perform.

  • NIN

    by bobby03 on 7/13/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 3 out of 5

I was shocked that Nine Inch Nails open for Janes Addiction. NIN was great, they need to have another show soon.

  • Janes Addiciton / NIN was awesome.....

by Christymacone on 7/13/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

NIN was great, Janes addiction stole the show. It was great!!

  • NINJA WAS PERFECT!

by idandsuperego on 7/13/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa BarbaraRating: 5 out of 5

THIS CONCERT WAS ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS EVER!!!!! I had never seen either of these bands perform, but janes addiction was totally - it blew me away.

  • Holy Crap!!!

by Estelle on 7/13/09Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I have been a fan of NIN since 94 and I expected it to be great, but this by far surpassed that it was almost a religious experience. I would recommend anyone go and see the concert if they get the chance. As for the location the Palms was the best!!!!! It was very clean, and the staff was well organized.

  • NIN is always amazing! JA was ROCKIN!

by babieblues on 7/13/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa BarbaraRating: 5 out of 5

Of course my desire was to see NIN, my favorite band of all time. I have seen them for every tour since 92 except year zero which I regret not seeing. Lights in the Sky was my favorite show so far. Well, I was in the pit and had the greatest time. SSSC blew me away. NIN was great and WOW with JA... I wasn't expecting them to be the headlining show, but they surprised me and were amazing! I still love NIN the best.

  • Awesome show

by DDay001 on 7/13/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa BarbaraRating: 5 out of 5

What an awesome show!!! Both bands are worth seeing up front no matter how much it costs.

  • NIN opens for Janes Addiction?????

by Calimlf on 7/13/09Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre - Chula VistaRating: 3 out of 5

Don't really care for Janes Addiction so went to the show late thinking they would be opening for NIN, who is after all a MUCH bigger band and the headliner. Wound up missing part of NIN because they played before Jane's Addiction. Really a disappointment, because I LOVE NIN!
