About

Nine Inch Nails are a progressive, Grammy-winning industrial rock band composed of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Formed in Cleveland, Ohio as a solo project for singer, songwriter and producer Trent Reznor in 1988, Nine Inch Nails have released 11 studio albums, six EPs and three remix albums, starting with 1989’s Pretty Hate Machine and breakout debut singles “Down In It” and “Head Like a Hole.” For 1992’s Broken EP, NIN reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 while its standout record “Wish” won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance. In the midst of hitting No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for 1994’s The Downward Spiral and 1999’s The Fragile, respectively, NIN released Hot 100-charting singles “Closer” and “The Perfect Drug” and earned a second Best Metal Performance Grammy at the 1996 ceremony for “Happiness in Slavery.” Nine Inch Nails went on hiatus until the 2005 chart-topper With Teeth, then hit the Hot 100 again with singles “The Hand That Feeds” and “Only,” and later with “Survivalism" from their 2007 follow-up Year Zero. Longtime collaborator and English producer Atticus Ross became an official member of NIN in 2016, established with a trilogy of releases culminating in 2018’s Bad Witch. As composers, the duo have earned two Academy Awards, two Grammys and one Emmy. In 2020, Nine Inch Nails were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. NIN also composed the score for the 2025 film Tron: Ares.

  • Good sendoff

by Brunneje on 7/29/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

I am a devout NIN fan, so it's obvious that I would love their last show. Heresy, Metal, and all the other songs I could have wanted to hear. Jane's Addiction, though, was the real surprise. I had no idea how vibrant and exciting they could be.

  • NIN and Jane's Addiction rocked my sox off!

by Cloacatastic on 7/27/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

It was incredible! They played for like 3 and a half hours! There was intense energy and the crowd was pretty good.

  • NIN is great despite venue.

by IndiaPink on 7/27/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

NIN/JA was a phenomenal show! Trent still has it & Perry's still a freak (in the best way possible). Sound was good, weather was good. Fiddler's is just not my favorite venue when CO has so many others to choose from. Plus because of the noise restrictions, the show started way earlier than I would've liked & parking was a nightmare.

  • NIN - phenomenal live show

by ChillBilly on 7/27/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Every time I've seen NIN perform live, it's always been an excellent show, and this last time at Fiddler's was no exception. Trent performed songs from his entire career, including many of the hits, and more obscure tunes as well. It was cool to see Jane's Addiction as well, but they seemed emotionally and musically one-dimensional after the intense NIN set.

  • NIN and JA awesome- Fiddler's blows

by mmacrae on 7/27/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

I bought tickets to the show primarily to see Nine Inch Nails. I've seen them numerous times and the shows are always fantastic. However, despite leaving my house an hour and a half early (and I live 20 minutes from Fiddler's), I was caught in traffic and parking lines until after an hour after the show started. By the time I got to my seats, I'd missed over an hour and a half of the show. Unacceptable. More than that, the show started so early that there was no way for me to have left earlier than I did- I had work. Also, like most shows I've seen at Fiddler's, the effects simply can't compete with Red Rocks or Pepsi Center. Nine Inch Nails usually has incredibly complex shows, and this time it was like they weren't given the opportunity to do anything except play. The show started so early that Nine Inch Nails was almost done before the sun went down and gave the crowd a chance to see them on the screens. Jane's Addiction were really good- better than I was expecting, but it left me feeling very disappointed that NIN got the short stick with effects, starting so early and parking taking so long that I missed more than half of their show.

nine inch nails are amzing worth seeing but this tour they didnt close and they didnt play a lot of songs thats the only reason i didnt like it as much as i could have i went to one of there shows last year and they closed and it was amazing

  • NIN should have been the headliner

by Vlicious on 7/24/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

While I am a huge Nine Inch Nails fan and would pay to see any event that Trent Reznor took part in, I was extremely disappointed that Jane's addiction was the headliner. Watching NIN play in the middle of the afternoon at Fiddler's was better than nothing but uncomparble to the amazing show that took place at Red Rock's last year. The quality of the stage setup couldn't have been appreciated to its full potential until the sun went down which was most of the way through the performance. I realize that it was supposed to be the last NIN tour but I am hoping that Trent wouldn't end things on that note. Hopefully we will get one more show!!!

  • Nine Inch Nails is the best show you will ever see

by Zadl on 7/24/09Comcast Center - MansfieldRating: 5 out of 5

An incredible show! I only went to see NIN but Street Sweeper was a nice surprise. I'm sorry to any fans but Jane's Addiction was so boring compared to NIN. I dont know why they were there. BUT! going to this show in New York and i dont think Jane's Addiction is playing at all! Overall this show is just amazing and a once in a lifetime chance, this is NIN's last tour!

  • NIN Jane's Addiction

    by s3pultura7 on 7/23/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 2 out of 5

NIN played to early when it was still light out and that had no effect with the lights and was boring. The food and drinks were outrageously priced!

  • It was cool.

by Thali on 7/22/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa BarbaraRating: 3 out of 5

I was excited to see NIN, I had been to their Lights in the Sky tour in November and I couldn't wait to see their amazing show again. The show was a simplistic, but good. I really enjoyed Jane's Addiction, they put on a really good show.

  • NIN or JANES ADDICTION... Who's going to play 1st?

by dirrrtone on 7/22/09Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre - Chula VistaRating: 5 out of 5

I will start off this review with a... WOW! What a great show this was! I was lucky enough to have pit tickets and enjoyed this show up front and center. Had a beer in the parking lot and missed street sweeper which was a bummer, specially when i found out Trent came out and sang kick out the jams with them. oh well, i was ok w/ it knowing i was about to get blown away by the next to acts. NIN played 2nd on tonight bill which was a suprise to me. I've sen NIN once before and J.A. 10 or so times in the past and for some reason expected to see J.A. instead. So I was in the beer line and taking my sweet time and heard sound coming from the stage that sounded like something off pretty hate machine so me and my wife ran down to the floor and were completely blown away by how good everything sounded and sat in amazment for the remainder of there set. I like me some NIN but to be honest I'm not too good when it comes to naming which songs they played. I did reconize alot of them specially when they played terrible lie. AWESOME!!! The crowd sang along to 99% of there set, they finished the night off with a bang!!! Up next the might JANES ADDICTION!!! This was my 10th time seeing one of my favorite bands since I was about 13 years old. This band changed my life and my taste in music. When i was 13 they had already broke up and the year was 92ish and I really belived that I wouldn't ever be able to see this band. We'll when they had their relapse tour in 1997 I was beyond excited and let me tell ya, that feeling still remains after all these years. This show wold be special though, it is the 1st one i've seen with o.g. bassist Eric Avery. Jane's played an awesome set tonight! I was lucky enough to walk away with the set list and it was extensive. They played all there hits and ALOT of their early stuff which made my evening complete. Have a tour w/ two of rock-n-roll greatest bands share a stage in one evening was a great moment of rock-n-roll in my life that i will never forget. A HUGE THANKS to NIN and JANES ADDICTION for putting together the NIN-JA tour, it will go down in R-N-R history as being one of the greatest tours ever!

  • NIN rocked J. Add. sounded great

by Vegeta on 7/22/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

NIN could have played a few more songs for their last tour, but a great preformance. Ow and they should have closed the show. Janes Addiction did as well as i had hope played alot of great songs.

  • Jane's and NIN

by Spicoli on 7/22/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

Bands were good but the Fiddlers Green ampitheater is the worst venue ever! This was definately the last show I will ever see there. NIN went on at 7PM....can't really see the light show when the sun isn't going to set for 2 hours. The show felt short since the venue has to shut down at 10:30 or they will get fined.

  • Wow NINJA Tour

by FlossyGoop on 7/22/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 3 out of 5

The show was awesome. I was there for Janes Addiction. Everyone put on a good show! I was disappointed by the timing at Fiddlers Green. I couldn't believe the show was so short. How can you end a concert before 11:00pm. Whats up with that. Why build an outdoor theatre where people will complain about the noise. I don't think I will go see another show at Fiddlers Green.

  • nin

by jflizzo on 7/21/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 4 out of 5

the show was great but wish i would have known that they were on before jane's addiction. got there and nin was already on . it was strange too to see them in day light! light show was barely noticable.

  • NIN is always an awesome show!!!!!!!

by icabone on 7/21/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

We were on the grass but still had a blast, i usually never miss NIN when they come to Denver. We had a great time as usual

  • in awe

by NINcultkitty on 7/20/09Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre - EnglewoodRating: 5 out of 5

Unforgettable. the real reason i went was to see NIN, but i was throughly impressed by Street Sweeper. Jane's addiction got too political and it was confusing that NIN was not the headliner. All the criticism aside, i applaud the preformance and was astounded at how well the bands sounded. I downloaded sample songs and the sound quality was just as good or better than the recordings. I was especially impressed by the vocals on all three bands. Very worth while. I cry a little to think it's Trent Reznor's last tour

  • Jane's was AWESOME!!!

by CindiandPaul on 7/20/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

SSSC was pretty good and I even knew one of their songs! I liked them better than NIN (which was okay, wasn't a big fan anyways). But Jane's Addition ROCKED and was glad that I went. I've missed Perry Jane's Addiction/Porno for Pyro's and it was cool to see that they still got it ;-) The only downside to DTE is buying one drink at a time but at least they make strong doubles! But man are they PRICEY!

  • NIN was amazing.

by chixdiggit on 7/20/09Santa Barbara Bowl - Santa BarbaraRating: 5 out of 5

I had a great time at the concert. I think the only down side was being outside. Although the venue was pretty cool, the sound wasn't top notch cause it kind of difused out into the sky... And because it was daytime, the light show wasn't incredibly amazing... Despite those things, however, I had a great time.

  • Great Show

by insomniacultra on 7/19/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - ClarkstonRating: 5 out of 5

What can I say it was like a best of Lollapalooza 91. Both headliners sounded in top form and made for a great evening. I love lawn seats a DTE ( it will always be Pine Knob in my heart)
