Nine Inch Nails are a progressive, Grammy-winning industrial rock band composed of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Formed in Cleveland, Ohio as a solo project for singer, songwriter and producer Trent Reznor in 1988, Nine Inch Nails have released 11 studio albums, six EPs and three remix albums, starting with 1989’s Pretty Hate Machine and breakout debut singles “Down In It” and “Head Like a Hole.” For 1992’s Broken EP, NIN reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 while its standout record “Wish” won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance. In the midst of hitting No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for 1994’s The Downward Spiral and 1999’s The Fragile, respectively, NIN released Hot 100-charting singles “Closer” and “The Perfect Drug” and earned a second Best Metal Performance Grammy at the 1996 ceremony for “Happiness in Slavery.” Nine Inch Nails went on hiatus until the 2005 chart-topper With Teeth, then hit the Hot 100 again with singles “The Hand That Feeds” and “Only,” and later with “Survivalism" from their 2007 follow-up Year Zero. Longtime collaborator and English producer Atticus Ross became an official member of NIN in 2016, established with a trilogy of releases culminating in 2018’s Bad Witch. As composers, the duo have earned two Academy Awards, two Grammys and one Emmy. In 2020, Nine Inch Nails were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. NIN also composed the score for the 2025 film Tron: Ares.

the lights, the set list, the energy, the entire performace was stunning, amazing!
Though it wasn't the best set I've seen NIN play, it was unforgettable nonetheless. Seeing Peter Murphy come out on stage made up for the fact that they didn't do Closer or Only or Sin... I was glad to be able to see him one last time, and am a bit wistful to think that was my *last* NIN show. *sigh*
Absolutely amazing show. My first nine inch nails show and it did not disappoint.
I've seen this band 19 times, and I would gladly see them 100 more. Trent Reznor never fails to deliver an amazing experience. Best live music I've ever heard.
NIN did not disappoint with one of their final shows in NYC. The setlist was amazing and Peter Murphy joined in for two songs. Such amazing energy from one of the most amazing performers I have ever seen.
the best show- a 2hr playlist. i was in the front, T5 kept the place cool. There were tons of stalls in the bathroom- the attendent was nice and not pushy for tips at all. the bouncers were cool no issues. only thing is they sell bottled water and won't give you tap but whatever. a great show T5 was great, I'd go there again
fantastic concert, NIN played for 2:20 minutes in a small club, unbelievable.
Once again Nails put on a great show.. hopefully this farewell doesn't last too long!
An honest Wave Good-Bye from Trent. The show was very cool! Over 2 Hours of NIN and not a second of it not worth it. But yes, Peter Murphy was very very cool!
Trent Reznor's supposed last hurrah fell nothing short of amazing, save the 5,000 degree temperature of Terminal 5 (The old Club Exit in NYC), the night did not disappoint. NIN played a healthy mix of favorites from their 20 year catalog, plus a few obscure titles such as "I'm afraid of Americans" a song Reznor did with David Bowie, and "Dead Soul" from the Crow soundtrack. A guest appearance from Peter Murphy (Bauhaus) on several songs also added punch to the (very) familiar set list. After seeing four shows in the past eight months, I can easily say this was the rawest of all. It is a shame NIN is calling is quits, especially since they look and sound as if they are in their prime.
It was 2 and a half hours of pure amazingness. Truly one of the best shows I have ever been to.
NIN once again did an amazing job. Trent promised us amazing shows as they "Wave Goodbye" including surprises and special guests. Tonight, he delivered and brought out Peter Murphy from Bauhaus. It was a bit expected, as he's been a special guest plenty of times in the past. Additionally predictable was Peter's inability to learn the lyrics to the song he's been helping cover for years! That was a bit insulting, as he brought the show to an abrupt stop [i'm fairly sure they cut his mic off in an effort to get the train moving again...] Many people surrounding me, including myself, had hoped we'd see someone else - but we weren't going to be picky and enjoyed watching Trent pay tribute to an idol of his. Especially amusing was when he came back out in Crow makeup to help with a 2nd cover, Dead Souls. Usually NIN ROCKS this song - Peter added a new twist that was refreshing to some, left a bit to be desired by others. [Can you tell I'm not a diehard Bauhaus fan?] Either way, it was redeeming after the Reptile debacle. I'm part of the school that dislikes Terminal 5 as a venue. They do a piss poor job at ventilation, their sound is subpar at best and being anywhere but the balcony is one of the most crowded venues you'll be standing at in NYC. As far as i could tell, they did a good job at entrance - however I showed up later and didn't see what kind of lines were there when the doors opened and how they handled that. All in all, i don't think i'd recommend Terminal 5 to other concert goers - but i guess venue doesn't matter much when you're going to see your favorite bands. All the negative opening aside, this show was GREAT! I guess i only had to elaborate on the bad because otherwise, there was nothing to complain about! They powered out 29 tracks in a energetic set that was fitting for an almost final show. Let's hope they keep the energy and uniqueness going as they continue with 1 final show in NY and then onto Chicago and LA.
Amazing, Best show I have seen in years. Fill min chars
I'd recommend this event to anyone but I'm not sure if that's possible seeing as NIN has announced they won't be touring anymore. They played a variety of songs and crammed in as much music as possible given their allotted time on stage. They were opening for Jane's Addiction so they didn't have as much freedom in their setlist to stop and chat or tell stories. The show would have been better if it was later at night, though. Overall it was a decent performance and the venue is good.
Having always wanted to see Trent Resner in concert I must admit I built it up in my mind that the stage show would be bigger than it was and was a bit disappointed. NIN came on before Jane's Addiction mistakenly for me to believe that Jane would be a no-show do to rumors that Perry Farrell was injured. However, the surprisingly buff, stocky Resner (always thought he was tall and slender) delivered an energetic, strong performance. Jane's Addiction played after NIN and displayed a better stage show with cool images of women behind the band. Farrell's voice was, well, Farrell. Hard to understand his words and every song, except for their radio hits, sounded the same to me. Though, Farrell is personable addressing the audience and fun to watch prancing around the stage. "Jane Says", one of my all time favorite songs, had the whole audience singing along. Eye Candy for this woman... Dave Navarro shirtless and sporting two nipples rings. I admit my binoculars were up close on him most of that set. The surprise of the evening was opening act Street Sweeper Social Club, Tom Morello's new project. Morello stole the show for me and I don't normally like that kind of music. His stage presence and guitar skill was amazing to hear and watch. He actually played with his mouth!
The show was great. However, I was primarily there to see NIN with JA as a bonus. It was set up the other way around. NIN played first in the daylight dulling their lighting effects and was cut a little short in my opinion to provide JA with more time. It wasn't quite the setting for NIN I had pictured. NIN to me is dark and mysterious....meant to be played in the dark and without such strict time constraints. We all know about the "in between" songs that just go on forever and ever. Part of what makes NIN who they are. Overall, I was happy to see one of my fav bands live before I (or they, lol) got "closer to god" (pun intended) Which, by the way, they did not play....also a disappointment!
An amazing performance, very powerful, I was moved.
I never though of the day I would hear Trent say this was his last tour. And when he did do his last show in Denver, never would I have thought he would not headline, and 2, he would not play Red Rocks, such a bad ass place to see a show. I will never dog a Nails show, I have not seen a bad one yet since 1994. I just hoped for a bit more for it being his last show. Still my fav band, that won't change.
NIN was absolutely wonderful and played songs I really wanted to hear live, but the crowd really sucked. Jane's Addiction wasn't that great live. Seemed more like the Dave Navarro Diva show. It is never normal to go to a NIN concert and have almost nobody moving to the music! Everyone was waiting for Jane's Addiction to my disappointment, when NIN is waaaay better.
Trent Reznor really knows how to put on a show. He's a true guru at what he does for a living. Other bands should use his work as an example.
