About

Nine Inch Nails are a progressive, Grammy-winning industrial rock band composed of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Formed in Cleveland, Ohio as a solo project for singer, songwriter and producer Trent Reznor in 1988, Nine Inch Nails have released 11 studio albums, six EPs and three remix albums, starting with 1989’s Pretty Hate Machine and breakout debut singles “Down In It” and “Head Like a Hole.” For 1992’s Broken EP, NIN reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 while its standout record “Wish” won the Grammy for Best Metal Performance. In the midst of hitting No. 2 and No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for 1994’s The Downward Spiral and 1999’s The Fragile, respectively, NIN released Hot 100-charting singles “Closer” and “The Perfect Drug” and earned a second Best Metal Performance Grammy at the 1996 ceremony for “Happiness in Slavery.” Nine Inch Nails went on hiatus until the 2005 chart-topper With Teeth, then hit the Hot 100 again with singles “The Hand That Feeds” and “Only,” and later with “Survivalism" from their 2007 follow-up Year Zero. Longtime collaborator and English producer Atticus Ross became an official member of NIN in 2016, established with a trilogy of releases culminating in 2018’s Bad Witch. As composers, the duo have earned two Academy Awards, two Grammys and one Emmy. In 2020, Nine Inch Nails were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. NIN also composed the score for the 2025 film Tron: Ares.

Trent and the guys still have it!! I can remember seeing them in the 90s when I was in my twenties and now I am experiencing them with my daughter who’s in her twenties!! It was an amazing show.

    by Rlanoj84 on 8/24/25United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Such an amazing show! I've seen several NIN shows. Between the performance and song mixing, There's a chance fans may never experience this level of NIN musical artistry again.

  • Brilliant

by Aw on 8/24/25Xcel Energy Center - Saint PaulRating: 5 out of 5

Yet again NIN fails to disappoint. Their shows remain some if the best experiences of my life. My only complaints are that the merch was expensive and a bottle of dasani water was $6, but that was to be expected. I hope they continue to tour because I can't get enough live NIN.

  • Sound frequency

The sound frequency between 678HRc and 987HRc was not hearable in mu seat.

  • BEST CONCERT EVER

by Samuel on 8/23/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I got to see Nine Inch Nails play in Detroit last night and it was absolutely amazing! I’ve wanted to see them play for years and I was so happy that I finally had the opportunity to, it was seriously one of the best days of my life. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the show, the entire band really outdid themselves. The lighting and the visual effects during the concert were also really cool! I made a lot of great memories last night. Nine Inch Nails, thank you so much for everything! Such an incredible band. I really hope I get to see them again someday. I LOVE YOU TRENT!!!!

  • Flawless

  • Awesome show!

So great to see NIN again! The sound quality of both the band and the sound system was exceptional, very clear.

  • The Perfect Concert

by Steve S on 8/23/25Xcel Energy Center - Saint PaulRating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing Nine Inch Nails and it exceeded my expectations. The sound, stages and lighting effects were awesome. Great setlist too.

  • One of the best concerts I’ve ever been to

by Ryan on 8/23/25United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

NIN isn’t just doing a concert, they’re performing a show. Trent thought of everything. Absolutely amazing.

  • Amazing show

by LSS on 8/23/25United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

If you love NIN like I do, you do not want to miss this show. It was truly amazing! From the middle stage to the effects to the sound. It was pretty much perfect! I will let you know that there is A LOT of strobes. Tons. Also, the opener is a DJ that plays for close to an hour. I didn't mind that, it was just a bit too long for me. Other than that, Trent Reznor put out his all into it. And he has not lost his touch!!

  • Incredible

by Dane on 8/23/25United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

If you've never seen NIN live, be sure to go! It’s an incredible experience!

  • Perfection!

by Copied from a Copy on 8/23/25United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Boys Noize as the opening DJ was amazing. The stage setup with the A stage at one side, B stage in the middle and DJ booth at the other side was well thought-out and gave the whole arena different perspectives of what was happening throughout. The band is at the top of their games, the sound was fantastic, lights and staging for both A and B stages were amazing with great visuals and effects. The two nights had different set lists, which was great for those who went to both. I wish I could go a third time.

  • Best Performance Ever!!

by MonmaGoose on 8/23/25United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This was the 3rd time my daughters and I have seen Nine Inch Nails and it was the best one yet!! Using the two stages, collaborating with the DJ on Closer and other songs was absolutely amazing!! We will always be in the audience when they travel to Chicago!!

  • Nine Inch Nails is the Gold Standard

by Michelle on 8/23/25United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first NIN concert, although I’ve been a fan for over 25 years. I wasn’t sure whether should expect a “nostalgia” tour, but they dispelled that thought during the first song! The 2025 tour held its own with other tours I’ve seen in the past five years - from engaging vocals to spectacular stage lighting and effects, there never seemed to be a lull. The band moved seamlessly between two stages and their energy was constant - and contagious! My one complaint about seeing Nine Inch Nails at the United Center is that it was hard to sit still…I wanted to be free to move and dance around to the driving beat of the music. But how can you complain about anything when the show is THAT good? I hope they tour again. I would love to experience more live music from Nine Inch Nails!

  • I hope Trent is immortal

by Tom on 8/23/25United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

NIN over the years has continued to astound with their live performances. The light shows are out of this world. Bar none the best i've ever seen. I went to this with hesitations. "How can he top what i've already seen?". Well he did. I never want these shows to end

  • High energy

by Bookloverlorie on 8/23/25United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Great show and it sounded great. Brought the energy. Setlist was mixed for my group but not upset about it

  • Nails!

by Trevor on 8/23/25Xcel Energy Center - Saint PaulRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing as always. If you have never been then go!!!!!!!!!

  • Almost as good as 30 years ago

by Am I just too stupid to realize on 8/23/25United Center - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

Trent still sounds and looks amazing! I wish they played more than just Head Like a Hole from Pretty Hate Machine, their best album IMO, but they played almost everything from The Downward Spiral.

  • Exuberant performance

by Elizabeth on 8/22/25United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible act from one of the most respectable bands! The light show, audio and performance itself was top notch. Made lots of great memories.

  • Excellent Show!

by Michael on 8/22/25United Center - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Nine Inch Nails exceeded my expectations, and the showmanship, arrangements and visual effects were outstanding.
