Nicky Jam in Concert
It's impossible to talk about the world's most viewed YouTube clips without Nicky Jam's name coming up. The reggaetĆ³n master has three videos with more than a billion total views. "El PerdĆ³n" (with Enrique Iglesias) and "El Amante" have more than 1.2 billion plays each, and his 2018 single with J. Balvin, "X," has well over 1.5 billion plays.Ā
As he readies for 2019's Intimo Tour, Nicky Jam has already played on the world's biggest stages. He's made Chile's ViƱa del Mar International Song Festival somehow seem intimate with his stadium performance of "El PerdĆ³n." He's been watched by millions of American households alongside Balvin on the The Tonight Show. And he broadcast to billions worldwide at the World Cup alongside Will Smith and Era Istrefi with the tournament's official song, "Live It Up," during the final match extravaganza in Moscow.Ā
The songwriter has a number of hits under his belt, none bigger than the 4x diamond-certified "El PerdĆ³n," which was No. 1 on the Hot Latin Songs Billboard for an exceptional 30 weeks and won Song of the Year at the Latin Music Awards. A master collaborator, Nicky Jam featured Sean Paul, Wisin, Daddy Yankee, Iglesias, and Balvin on his latest album, FĆ©nix, and recently released the track "Jaleo" with Steve Aoki.Ā
Nicky Jam Background
Born Nick Rivera Caminero in Boston, Massachusetts, to a Dominican mother and Puerto Rican father, Nicky Jam moved to Puerto Rico with his family when he was 10. He was soon discovered, and he released his first album when he was 14.Ā
The singer later met his idol Daddy Yankee, who became a mentor of sorts, and in the late 1990s the pair formed the short-lived group Los Cangris. Jam moved to MedellĆn, Colombia, in 2007 and was influenced heavily by the community and by Colombian vallenato music.Ā
Where reggaetĆ³n was going electronic, Jam focused on vocal melodies and reggae rhythms, and his 2017 comeback album, FĆ©nix, put him squarely at the top of the Latin pop and reggaetĆ³n heaps. Along with frequent touring shows, Jam appears in the movie XXX: Return of Xander Cage and raps on the film's soundtrack.
The concert was amazing. I had been waiting to see him since I was a kid and he gave the crowd everything needed to give.
He started late and it was short concert. His concert was okay and his DJ was amazing!
Iām a big fan of Nicky and was so excited to get row 8 seats! But it was not worth it to me as he sang maybe 2 of his newer songs and kinda seemed low energy. Not to add that he only preformed for an hour. I will not be attending anymore of his concerts but love his music and will support him by streaming songs instead. ā¤ļø
It was a fun experience &ā he perform amazing . First time time seeing Nicky jam, totally worth it. No masked needed. But you do need a COVID proof card to enter or the app online. Would totally see him again !
Nicky!!!!!!! The show was amazing, the dancers were fire, las canciones š„š„ it was a last minute concert for us and I loved the experience
The concert start late, which tends to happen in a lot of concerts. It started around 840/845 pm. I was hoping Nicky Jam would perform for at least 2 hours. However, that was not the case. Nicky Jam performed for 1 hour and 20 minutes. It was a good concert, would of been better if it was longer.
Loved the music and the bar sections. It would have been nice to take the drinks back to our seats. Nicky Jam was awesome!!!!
It was a blast best tour Iāve been too šI had a lot fun and enjoyed it š„šÆ
Wish I would have met him and took a picture for $900 I spent
Nicky delivered! Spectacular performance, amazing vocals, great interaction with the audience, impecable freestyle, current music and early music - simply the best!
I love Nicky Jam and have see him Many times already but this experience was horrible. I couldnāt see what so ever. There were crews of people in the the walkway to rush up closer. I had to kinda stand on the chair just to see. I spent $450 for mine and my husband tickets . I definitely expected to have a better time.
The show started a bit late, which is typical for Miami considering that the artist wanted to make sure that all the fans were able to enjoy the show from start to finish. Nicky Jam was so engaging, really connected to the audience and communicated between songs with some great stories and insite on his artistry and journey to where he is today. It was my first time going to one of his shows and as a Puerto Rican and hispanic fan it made me really proud to sit in a venue with so many fans enjoying his music overall. Nicky Jam actually threw his sneakers into the audience for the fans. Amazing time!
The venue was great! The food it was at a good price. Concert started and ended on time. There was plenty of parking. Nicky Jam gave and outstanding concert singing all his best songs from the underground time till the reggaeton era. The only thing they only allowed drinks in a bar area people will love to take their drinks to the seated area while enjoying the concert other than that everything was A plus!!!!
Best experience ever good energy and good vibes canāt ask for more šÆ
Great experience friendly staff, lines moved quickly no bathroom lines very spacious. Entering and exit well organized.
The timing of the event was 7pm - It actually started at 8:45 and ended in 60min. Wasted 90 min waiting no pre show and expensive drinks with long lines. 1st and my last show. Still love your music but Spotify will do.
It was great!!! There should be more variety with food but it was overall very fun !
Start late , out of time but good concert . Hi interac with public and had old songs ..
Overall I highly recommend seeing this man live. He didn't make us wait too long before he came out, like other performers I've gone to see. He sounds just as great live as he does in his songs and performed a long set. Nicky really put on a great show and I'd go see him again.
Such a great performer, I love how he talks to the crowd, and engages everyone. This is my second time seeing him at the WAMU and Iāve loved each show!
