About

Nicky Jam in Concert

It's impossible to talk about the world's most viewed YouTube clips without Nicky Jam's name coming up. The reggaetón master has three videos with more than a billion total views. "El Perdón" (with Enrique Iglesias) and "El Amante" have more than 1.2 billion plays each, and his 2018 single with J. Balvin, "X," has well over 1.5 billion plays.

As he readies for 2019's Intimo Tour, Nicky Jam has already played on the world's biggest stages. He's made Chile's Viña del Mar International Song Festival somehow seem intimate with his stadium performance of "El Perdón." He's been watched by millions of American households alongside Balvin on the The Tonight Show. And he broadcast to billions worldwide at the World Cup alongside Will Smith and Era Istrefi with the tournament's official song, "Live It Up," during the final match extravaganza in Moscow.

The songwriter has a number of hits under his belt, none bigger than the 4x diamond-certified "El Perdón," which was No. 1 on the Hot Latin Songs Billboard for an exceptional 30 weeks and won Song of the Year at the Latin Music Awards. A master collaborator, Nicky Jam featured Sean Paul, Wisin, Daddy Yankee, Iglesias, and Balvin on his latest album, Fénix, and recently released the track "Jaleo" with Steve Aoki.

Nicky Jam Background

Born Nick Rivera Caminero in Boston, Massachusetts, to a Dominican mother and Puerto Rican father, Nicky Jam moved to Puerto Rico with his family when he was 10. He was soon discovered, and he released his first album when he was 14.

The singer later met his idol Daddy Yankee, who became a mentor of sorts, and in the late 1990s the pair formed the short-lived group Los Cangris. Jam moved to Medellín, Colombia, in 2007 and was influenced heavily by the community and by Colombian vallenato music.

Where reggaetón was going electronic, Jam focused on vocal melodies and reggae rhythms, and his 2017 comeback album, Fénix, put him squarely at the top of the Latin pop and reggaetón heaps. Along with frequent touring shows, Jam appears in the movie XXX: Return of Xander Cage and raps on the film's soundtrack.

1 hour that's all we got!

by Tafi on 3/30/22WAMU Theater - Seattle

I am disappointed that we only got 1 hour concert. That's all he performed. We didn't have an opening artist anything but 60 minutes of music. He's great and I waited 8 years to see him finally but it was an small concert!!

    Shortest concert ever

    by Ten203 on 3/30/22WAMU Theater - Seattle

Sing for 1 hour, which has to be the shortest concert I have ever attended. Opted to buy more expensive seats because I I really liked him, but he could have sang 4 more songs and I would have been satisfied. Seemed really Rush

    Disappointed

by Jali on 3/30/22WAMU Theater - Seattle

I paid over $200 to be closer to the stage. Security couldn’t control the crowd that kept standing in front of us and not respecting the seating assignments! I’m not coming back to wamu theater again!

    GREAT

by Alex on 3/29/22SAP Center at San Jose - San Jose

All of today's hits and let us reminisce in all of the stuff we listened to in highschool. The entire croud was excited and engaged the entire time, Nicky was energetic, happy, and lit throughout the show. Truly one of the best concerts my friends and I have been to in a really long time. We gave up our J Balvin tickets to go to this instead and don't regret it.

    WISH

by Michelle on 3/29/22SAP Center at San Jose - San Jose

Wish he could of give it his all. I’m not going to lie but I agree with some reviews. First the show was 1.5hr and that was with him taking breaks and changing clothes during performance. First half of show he seem like he wasn’t into the crowd, he was lip singing thru the show which was a little down for me, It did seem a little low budget scene, I just wish. him being an awesome singer he could of done a better show. From all my concerts I seen I think this was was rated a 3🥺 At the end I feel bad, it wasn’t sold out or a least 75%. Lots of people buying ticket same day that evening and even coming halfway thru the show.

    Amazing show

by Beezy on 3/28/22SAP Center at San Jose - San Jose

Nicky jam was probably one of the best shows I’ve seen! The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because right infront of us there was an issue/altercation about a guy trying to take someone’s seat. We were in the floor seats and even the couple told security about him they didn’t seem to be super worried about it. And the guy would come back and fourth kinda bothering them and making them uncomfortable. That whole situation was really distracting. Other than that really amazing show

    It was so much fun!!

by Boricua on 3/28/22The Forum - Inglewood

Although he didn’t have an opening act and we waited 2 hours until he came out the show was really good!! The crowd was boring And not really I to it but I LIVED MY BEST LIFE!! 😄🙌🏼🇵🇷✨💃🏻🥂🍾 on another note, THE COVID TESTING REQUIREMENTS NEED TO STOP, SEGREGATING PEOPLE BASED ON VACCINATION STATUS IS ILLEGAL AND WE ALL KNOW THE TESTS CAN SHOW A FALSE POSITIVES AND ITS POINTLESS 🙃

    It was absolutely great but…

by Kiki on 3/28/22SAP Center at San Jose - San Jose

I always love all his concerts and have the time of my life, I however didn’t like that he was an hour late to perform. Security told me he wasn’t even in the building, the concert was shorter because of it too. I’m still his biggest fan regardless. I love mi amor platónico 💕

    50/50

by JJWOOD on 3/27/22SAP Center at San Jose - San Jose

At first it was good, he started to have issues with his voice or the sound and it was a bad second half of the concert, not gonna lie a little disappointed

    Disappointed

by Queen on 3/27/22SAP Center at San Jose - San Jose

Low budget, he was lip singing most of the time and he seemed not into it kind of off. I was disappointed for what I paid for. I still enjoyed my self.
